How is this different than other smart garage door openers such as MyQ, Meross, etc.? I don't have a smart garage door opener so just wondering.
MyQ requires a paid subscription for smart home app integration.
Meross is a Chinese company, and its product requires wiring a sensor to the garage door to know if it's open.
Konnected, on the other hand, is a U.S. based company and our garage door opener product doesn't require any subscription to integrate with any of our supported smart home platforms. It also has built-in sensors that can detect if the garage door is open without any additional wired sensors (optionally supports a wired sensor if you want to). Our product also supports ESPHome firmware (for 100% local control with Home Assistant).
@@Konnected-io sounds interesting, is there any documentation where I can read how it works and how it is installed? The wireless option connects directly to your smart home platform? I have the original Konnected board for my home security and I watched UA-cam to get it installed and setup. I hope you guys put out a how-to video for this product as well.
Have 2 and both are junk when it comes to their optical sensors. Totally unreliable. Door and ceiling are only 2 feet apart and the sensors just bounce between undetected and some distance. The wired sensor also isn’t used in their firmware for home assistant.
Stick with meross.
Do you need separate ones for a 2 door garage?
Yes, each device supports one garage door.
