I was able to fix it right away. Thank you for stopping my cursing.
Just call on the name Jesus and he will direct you 🙏
I was getting frustrated after hrs fiddling with the darn thing and about to call a repairman who would've told me who knows. I was fooled because the sensor lights were on. But the light would blink right before it closed and go back up. So after watching your video I kept my eye on the sensors as the door was closing. Sure enough the side rail shaking on the left side caused the sensor rays to disconnect and caused the door to go back up. But you pointed me the right way anyway. I was at my wits end. What a blessing your video was. Thanks.
Thank you SO much for making this video ! As a recently widowed elderly woman, I was able to fix my garage door closing problem without having to call an expensive repair person.
A very clearly presented video that gave me the exact reason why the door wasn't closing. An easy fix and I didn't have to rely on a service call with a high fee. Thank you!!
Same here, life saver. Save me a trip to call a handyman
Good for you!!
Sam, thank you so much. I just cleaned the lenses on the sensors and the garage door closes and works as it normally does. As a person who is not "handy" I find your videos very informative and easy to follow.
Readjusting coordination, cleaning the lenses, and checking the wirings of the sensors solved my issue(s) thanks to what I learned in this video. Thank you very much! 🙌🏼
I just want to say thank you for such a clear and concise explanation. All other videos went off on a tangent. You were straight to the point!
I called the garage door repair guy to come out. He said $85 just to come out. I looked at your channel. I was done in 30 seconds. Just cleaned the lenses. It had very little dust but it worked. thank you .
Thank you so much, your solution worked, the sensor was loose. You saved me $150 that I would've had a pay for a service call. Much appreciate you posting this video!
The trim at the top of my door partially detached from the frame and was catching the door about 80% down then it would go back up. I nailed the trim back into place and that fixed the problem. Thanks for the tips in the video too.
I was about to file a home warranty claim, when I watched your vid and then went out and cleaned my sensor lenses. That fixed it! You saved me $75 and time. Thank you!
Excellent. Well presented. Lens was a little dirty but one of them needed wing-nut tightening and trial and error to re-aim the beam.
My garage wouldn't open or close without having tondo it manually. As soon as i wiped my finger across the lense (as this video suggests could be a reason) and pressed the button, it closed and opened... I thought it was probaby the chain but it was that the lense had dirt on it... This man knows his stuff!!! Thank you for this video!
Thank you so much for this video Sam. I was fooling around with no idea why the door all of a sudden stopped going fully down. I check the sensor to wipe them and sure enough just like you said, there was a dried leaf 🍁 stuck on the left sensor totally covering it up. I removed the leaf and wiped down the sensor and the door is functioning once again. I’m super grateful for you instructions.
Thanks so much! I watched the first 1:30 and realized my problem. So satisfying to fix something yourself without having to call a repair service for $150. Much gratitude.
Thank you! Tried your suggestion with aligning the sensors and it worked! Appreciate it. It’s not often where one of these fix it videos actually is helpful.
Thank you for a very complete look at potential problems.
Thank you so much for your most comprehensive explanation. Tightening the sensors and cleaning the lenses did the trick. God bless!

Thank you Sam!! I was able to fix my door all by myself! God bless you!
Sam, THANK YOU so much...! Fantastic demonstration to resolve a menacing problem, without spending hundreds of bucks for a technician. Especially, a lot of people don't realize how important it is to clean the lenses after you cleaned up a dusty garage. My wife inadvertently disturbed the alignment of the sensor unit while sweeping with a broom :) (exactly as you explained here). I knew how to get the steady and solid green light back with a little adjustments of the sensor unit...... I even wiped the lens area of the receiving unit with my finger, but still the door didn't close fully and went back with the same blinking overhead light (INSTEAD of the proper alignment of sensor units and SOLID Green Light). I didn't know what else to do and luckily found your video here before calling a technician. I cleaned up both the lenses with a lint-less cloth, using the lenses & monitor screens cleaning volatile liquid. It WORKED perfectly to resolve the issue. Thanks again for this very informative and helpful video.
Thank you. Cleaning the lens worked. Much appreciated

Thanks! Cleaning the lens did the trick, though it didn't look that dirty. I also unplugged the garage door box to reset it.
Sam is the truth! Thank you for this tips. Just moved to a new house and door was stuck when closing. Just figured that one of the sensors was hanging by a zip tie. Seems like vibration got the tie moving and the sensor was loose pointing to the ground. Got the sensor back in the right position with the zip tie and it is operating back again. I'll take a look to see if why there is no screws holding the sensor, like in the other side, to figure out a better solution to the issue.
Thank you for taking the time to share this valuable information. Much appreciated!
