People need to realise that Salah, Trent and VVD are all going up against FSG. I thinks if marmoush joins liverpool either januari or in the summer, one of the attackers will leave. And I think, based on slot’s playings style it is going to be nunez. Jota becomes second striker and that way is less injured, and marmoush becomes 1st striker. Maybe harsh, but I think if he is going to liverpool this is going to happen.
@ slot isn’t just asking for a link up striker, it is also the pressing, smart running, clinicalness in front of goal. In all those departments jota is the better striker.

Mane was never really replaced IMO his pace and goals were major and important to us, Diaz & Gapko will never be a Mane!!! For January, I just want Zubimendi/Varela/Baleba (Baleba seems unlikely, I really wish we got him when we were interested in him alongside BHA). Considering this is Liverpool we are talking about, more than 1 signings, if even made, seems unlikely. This might be a mad shout, but I actually believe maybe Trent has already let the insiders know that he will be going, there is an inevitability as to how Slot has been using him, we've barely depended on his creativity (the same level as every other team depends on their RB), while he is good on the ball, he is not good at keeping it, and maybe Slot is okay with letting him go (If you were to ask Feyenoord fans, they would tell you that Slot is not afraid of shipping fan favourites out of the club if he believes it would be the right thing to do) Do I want him to stay? Leaning more towards a Yes, but his attitude on the ball sometimes is very frustrating, and if he wishes to jump ship, all the best to him. I am not 100% do everything Slot wants, but I am "THE CLUB COMES FIRST BEFORE ANYONE AND EVERYONE", and so I would be okay. I really really really wish they tie VVD and Salah down, those two are far more important than we actually think at first glance. You’re right, that is something that would affect most players. But I have a feeling having watched him with the national team and in interviews over the past 3 years that he’s unfazed. Much like Mo, he’s very calm and has a quiet confidence to him. I think he’ll be fine
I think having Salah at the club would really help him settle. I think if Salah were to leave, that could backfire. So for me, we get him in only if Salah signs at least a 2 year extension, which BTW I think we should offer him. Probably with an option for a 3rd year.

We need him in January. We have way too many games, including cup competitions. They will sell him in January if we agree on the price, which to me is a steal. An aggressive, flare, and goal scoring striker is exactly what we need going forward from a striker.
If we get Zubi in Jan, I think Mac/elliot should play the 10 and then grav jones zubi and endo can be the 6’s. For szo I think he’d work as a winger. Probably as a “backup” to Salah for the rest of the year

Arne Slot for now hasn't come to upset the apple cart but will indeed make serious changes where and if necessary, there is one thing he said about Luis Diaz and it showed me how ruthless he can be...he said I like Diaz I don't love him. Arne will not show no emotion or sentiment to players he doesn't see in his plans, which is different to Klopp. I hope Trent and Virgil stay, if Salah leaves, we will miss him for sure! Nunez' spot doesn't feel in jeopardy in my opinion. I think this Marmoush buzz is based primarily in pre-emptively replacing Diaz if he goes to Spain and/or whenever Slot gets annoyed with another Jota injury. I do not think it has anything to do with Salah, other than the fact that his presence is surely part of the driving force for these rumors. I believe we'll see two Egyptians flanking Nunez next season, with Gakpo as a rotational option akin to Jota (and a much fitter one, at that) and perhaps Chiesa finds his fitness, if not he'll be replaced by Doak (which doesn't fill be with confidence, but it's hard to find elite players to play backup to Salah). Trent is as good as gone for me, if he wants to stay it'll be our version of the Zubimendi saga. As soon as we drop points the Madrid rumors will come flying back. That's not what Slot wants to deal with, and frankly it wouldn't be deserved. Madrid would normally wait until the summer to do that type of business but they're in real trouble right now and absolutely crying out for a controller like TAA. So, do you cash in now on a generational talent who MAY eventually resign if you give him the chance to think about it enough, OR risk keeping him because you think you can win the league with him? In Lfc i trust they have done better than most in the transfer market as a whole during the FSG era and as a rule their jan signngs have been pretty good Gakpo VVD Diaz and a few more so i trust them to buy what we need and spend wisely whether on the expensive end like VVD or a bargain its nearly always worked out.
I think doak will be an option next season so is koumas,Danns will get better so I don't think the wide areas like right and left win we have enough brilliant academy players to go around
Nunez had more g/a than Vini Jr last year (club and country, he had slightly less for club) but ALL I HEAR is he doesn't have output. he was the first player in the top 5 leagues to have 10 goals and 10 assists last season playing 2/3 the minutes of some other players. yes he's inconsistent, but he's also a game winner and changes the structure of a game completely. to me I see him as an ace card, a player that can win you a lost game, but can also lose you a won game, its down to the manager to utilise a player like Nunez and slot is most definitely that manager.
Marmoush looks like a good player and does profile quite similarly to the other forward players we have signed recently. I could see him either as the 9 or 10. I like your reference to what Chris Pajak said about the cost of signing/replacing Trent. In that, it will cost £80m-90m over 4/5 years. The same can be said of Salah and Virgil. If all three leave and the club look to replace them on the cheap, fans will be very concerned. But, if they go out and drop £50m-60m ish on their respective replacements, I think most people would be fairly happy with that. Say all three leave and the club bring in Marmoush, Frimpong, and Bastoni as their direct replacements plus Zubimendi and a couple of promising young players (Jorrel Hato, Johan Bakayoko or Milos Kerkez come to mind) could people be unhappy? Yes, is the answer, but I would be pretty excited. Just looking at depth with those signings assuming Kelleher, Tsimikas and Endo are sold it's: Alisson, Marmadashvili Frimpong, Bradley Konate, Quansah Bastoni, Gomez Robertson, Kerkez Gravenberch, Jones Zubimendi, MacAllister Marmoush, Chiesa, Doak Szoboszlai, Elliot Diaz, Gakpo Jota, Nunez Pretty exciting, no? I do also agree that there are big question marks over the striker. Jota is quality, but injuries are a big issue. Nunez is too inconsistent. I could see them selling one of the strikers, playing Marmoush up top and bringing in someone like Bakayoko to play RW. Whatever happens, it's a very fun time to be a Liverpool fan.
Liverpool are a sooner buy 30-50 million players that in our team perform to 70 to 100 million plus levels , unless a world class nailed on talent like VVD wants to move to Liverpool then FSG will stump up the big bucks they have the money but are savvy ,the FSG out brigade don't know how close Liverpool came to the liquidators under Hick's and Gillet .
I agree about trent...if it was a love marriage surely fsg would be giving their betrothed everything he wants...the fact that fsg would lowball trent in a heartbeat shows us that this is an arranged marriage, and in arranged marriages both sides are completely entitled to horse trade in order to achieve the best result for their family...i encourage trent to take it to the limit and achieve the contract his family deserves....if he goes it's with my best wishes, if he stays, he's a red and I'll never think about these last 6 months again
Question for me is how long we keep Ben Doak on the bench till we give him a real shot... He's following our recent academy players with successful loan spells before breaking into the team I.e. Bradley, Elliot, Quansah, etc.
I thought it was Jota that was being thought of as the likely player to be sold. Good as he is, his high percentage of not being available to play due to injuries has been a source of concern.
For me the question is, who do we sell ? Because he's a forward. Jota is injury prone, Nunez has been a disappointment so i wouldn't be opposed against either of those, but we can't have 3 forwards in the team. Likewise you look at his numbers, first real top season in his career, we've seen plenty of players fail to make the grade from Bundesliga because of how open it is comparatively. Look like another bet except this time we're paying top money again instead of going for a more proven option.
Getting an absolute baller striker is our main position that can be improved (or whatever type of player suits Slot's vision eg different no6). Darwin could be it. But, hasn't been so far. Replaceable.
No player is bigger or better than the club but in this case I would definitely keep one of the best players that has graced the game on the British shores since a certain mr Henry did for arsenal and Bergkamp did in moe salah you keep a great player like moe that is genuinely getting better with age we all know that defender's get to world class standard with experience and I say it again age so what am saying is that you keep all of them you don't discard them because of their age its what they do on the pitch that gets them contractors that they deserve you only have to look at moes stats this season and we are not even at the half way point yet so give him them what they want and i promise you that we can win at least one or two more titles ynwa
The thing with the price of players these days trent has got to a point now were if he signs a new deal for liverpool he is there for life hes 26 now has a chance to go to madrid if he signs a a new 4 ir 5 year deal and then decides in 2 years he then wants to go no one is gunna pay 100mil for him and if he lets this new contract run down he will be 30 going on 31 real madrid wont want him then were gunna see this a lot with top players over next few years if they are priced out the market for a big move they will let their contracts run down
i like marmoush but i would not sign him first: he plays on the left and would be competition for diaz, gakpo and jota second: frankfurt strikers cant reach their potential after leaving frankfurt. look at muani, jovic, rebic, haller ... third: having a half good season in his career as a 25 year old is pretty risky for a 50-60 million € player i would prefer someone like xavi simons, kudus or bakayoko
Tell me how giving these guys more money is worse than signing a guy that you will have to pay 60 or 70 million plus wages? I know that their skills are beginning to diminish but they are still world class players and maybe by the end of their contracts they will need to play less.

These transfer videos are a bit click baity Mr. KcKenna. We're still a month and a half away from January window, but I do think they need to back Slot and get some reinforcements in. I don't know how many international spots are available...... I do think if they end up bringing Zubimendi in, Endo needs to go.... if only so we have the international spot..... and yeah Ryan has earned his place but maybe Zubimendi deputises for MacAllister instead. I don't really like the idea of going from one Egyptian player to another. I actually like Antoine Semenyo as a replacement for Salah. He is big strong, fast and technically clinical. He is also considered a home grown player. Another interesting idea instead of Tchouameni is Rodrygo who has been the odd man out with Mbappe going to Madrid. Money motivates players. What are the players thinking when Salah, van Dijk, and trent leave because the club couldn't give them an increase in wages when u are doing well. Lauren, we are liverpool, not blackpool. we are one of the biggest clubs in the world. If the club would have sorted this out last year when they got captaincy they would have never tease the club with wages. So because of stupidity they must pay the guys who say new signings would work in the club it a gamble. This might be a mad shout, but I actually believe maybe Trent has already let the insiders know that he will be going, there is an inevitability as to how Slot has been using him, we've barely depended on his creativity (the same level as every other team depends on their RB), while he is good on the ball, he is not good at keeping it, and maybe Slot is okay with letting him go (If you were to ask Feyenoord fans, they would tell you that Slot is not afraid of shipping fan favourites out of the club if he believes it would be the right thing to do)
Do I want him to stay? Leaning more towards a Yes, but his attitude on the ball sometimes is very frustrating, and if he wishes to jump ship, all the best to him. I am not 100% do everything Slot wants, but I am "THE CLUB COMES FIRST BEFORE ANYONE AND EVERYONE", and so I would be okay.

I think having Salah at the club would really help him settle. I think if Salah were to leave, that could backfire. So for me, we get him in only if Salah signs at least a 2 year extension, which BTW I think we should offer him. Probably with an option for a 3rd year.

We need him in January. We have way too many games, including cup competitions. They will sell him in January if we agree on the price, which to me is a steal. An aggressive, flare, and goal scoring striker is exactly what we need going forward from a striker.
If we get Zubi in Jan, I think Mac/elliot should play the 10 and then grav jones zubi and endo can be the 6’s. For szo I think he’d work as a winger. Probably as a “backup” to Salah for the rest of the year

Arne Slot for now hasn't come to upset the apple cart but will indeed make serious changes where and if necessary, there is one thing he said about Luis Diaz and it showed me how ruthless he can be...he said I like Diaz I don't love him. Arne will not show no emotion or sentiment to players he doesn't see in his plans, which is different to Klopp. I hope Trent and Virgil stay, if Salah leaves, we will miss him for sure!

Nunez' spot doesn't feel in jeopardy in my opinion. I think this Marmoush buzz is based primarily in pre-emptively replacing Diaz if he goes to Spain and/or whenever Slot gets annoyed with another Jota injury. I do not think it has anything to do with Salah, other than the fact that his presence is surely part of the driving force for these rumors. I believe we'll see two Egyptians flanking Nunez next season, with Gakpo as a rotational option akin to Jota (and a much fitter one, at that) and perhaps Chiesa finds his fitness, if not he'll be replaced by Doak (which doesn't fill be with confidence, but it's hard to find elite players to play backup to Salah). Trent is as good as gone for me, if he wants to stay it'll be our version of the Zubimendi saga. As soon as we drop points the Madrid rumors will come flying back. That's not what Slot wants to deal with, and frankly it wouldn't be deserved. Madrid would normally wait until the summer to do that type of business but they're in real trouble right now and absolutely crying out for a controller like TAA. So, do you cash in now on a generational talent who MAY eventually resign if you give him the chance to think about it enough, OR risk keeping him because you think you can win the league with him? Interesting problem for Edwards to deal with.
In Lfc i trust they have done better than most in the transfer market as a whole during the FSG era and as a rule their jan signngs have been pretty good Gakpo VVD Diaz and a few more so i trust them to buy what we need and spend wisely whether on the expensive end like VVD or a bargain its nearly always worked out.
I think doak will be an option next season so is koumas,Danns will get better so I don't think the wide areas like right and left win we have enough brilliant academy players to go around

Nunez had more g/a than Vini Jr last year (club and country, he had slightly less for club) but ALL I HEAR is he doesn't have output. he was the first player in the top 5 leagues to have 10 goals and 10 assists last season playing 2/3 the minutes of some other players. yes he's inconsistent, but he's also a game winner and changes the structure of a game completely. to me I see him as an ace card, a player that can win you a lost game, but can also lose you a won game, its down to the manager to utilise a player like Nunez and slot is most definitely that manager.
Marmoush looks like a good player and does profile quite similarly to the other forward players we have signed recently. I could see him either as the 9 or 10.
I like your reference to what Chris Pajak said about the cost of signing/replacing Trent. In that, it will cost £80m-90m over 4/5 years. The same can be said of Salah and Virgil. If all three leave and the club look to replace them on the cheap, fans will be very concerned. But, if they go out and drop £50m-60m ish on their respective replacements, I think most people would be fairly happy with that. Say all three leave and the club bring in Marmoush, Frimpong, and Bastoni as their direct replacements plus Zubimendi and a couple of promising young players (Jorrel Hato, Johan Bakayoko or Milos Kerkez come to mind) could people be unhappy? Yes, is the answer, but I would be pretty excited. Just looking at depth with those signings assuming Kelleher, Tsimikas and Endo are sold it's:

I do also agree that there are big question marks over the striker. Jota is quality, but injuries are a big issue. Nunez is too inconsistent. I could see them selling one of the strikers, playing Marmoush up top and bringing in someone like Bakayoko to play RW. Whatever happens, it's a very fun time to be a Liverpool fan.

I thought it was Jota that was being thought of as the likely player to be sold. Good as he is, his high percentage of not being available to play due to injuries has been a source of concern.
For me the question is, who do we sell ? Because he's a forward. Jota is injury prone, Nunez has been a disappointment so i wouldn't be opposed against either of those, but we can't have 3 forwards in the team. Likewise you look at his numbers, first real top season in his career, we've seen plenty of players fail to make the grade from Bundesliga because of how open it is comparatively. Look like another bet except this time we're paying top money again instead of going for a more proven option.
We currently have 7 forwards including Chiesa and Danns so just cannot see this happening unless of course someone or even several are leaving?
Getting an absolute baller striker is our main position that can be improved (or whatever type of player suits Slot's vision eg different no6). Darwin could be it. But, hasn't been so far. Replaceable.

I don't know how many international spots are available...... I do think if they end up bringing Zubimendi in, Endo needs to go.... if only so we have the international spot..... and yeah Ryan has earned his place but maybe Zubimendi deputises for MacAllister instead.
I don't really like the idea of going from one Egyptian player to another. I actually like Antoine Semenyo as a replacement for Salah. He is big strong, fast and technically clinical. He is also considered a home grown player. Another interesting idea instead of Tchouameni is Rodrygo who has been the odd man out with Mbappe going to Madrid. Rodrygo is still very young and has tons of potential.

Money motivates players. What are the players thinking when Salah, van Dijk, and trent leave because the club couldn't give them an increase in wages when u are doing well. Lauren, we are liverpool, not blackpool. we are one of the biggest clubs in the world. If the club would have sorted this out last year when they got captaincy they would have never tease the club with wages. So because of stupidity they must pay the guys who say new signings would work in the club it a gamble.
