Personally, I like the black walnut/osage orange one, as it symbolizes one of the biggest changes in my life. I was born and raised in upstate New York, where the black walnut was a prized species of hardwood. At the age of 67 we moved to central Texas, where the Osage Orange, is also a revered hardwood. Combined together with the stability of micarta, signifies that move, as our only child and her family also moved to Texas as well. It’s a beautiful work of art, Nathan!
Watching this inspires me to get out in the shop and craft a slingshot of my own. Would you be willing to share what adhesive you prefer for your lamination?
Your slingshots got me back into a hobby from long ago and help me relive fond memories of plinking with my brother and building wooden slingshots with my dad. Seeing this video really speaks to the quality of product you all put out, thank you for all your time put into making this hobby great!
I remember my dad making my first slingshot from a piece of wood when I was a kid. He used very simple tools. Looking back, I admire how meticulous he was in creating it. This video brought that memory back. Thank you!
