So thought I'd go out to Bodiam Castle right before Christmas, a nice easy trip before the festive period begins here in England. Didnt realise until I started prepping for the trip that it had been so long since I'd been there. Had been hoping for a better Sunrise than what I ended up with, but lets be honest, given how miserable its been of late... I'm not surprised. Thanks so much for watching, and hope to see you on the next one!! 👍👍
Bodiam is such a picturesque castle. I was there last Thursday filming but had problems. The sun was low from the south, and it was dark on the north side. Merry Christmas.
@@DavidWilsonOutandAbout Urgh that sounds annoying, although the weather really has been challenging for any kind of filming or photography around here of late... Have a great Christmas
Hi Neil. Hope you’re ok mate. Nice little video and image. Good going back to the same locations. Always find different images to shoot. Take care , shawn.
Thanks Shawn mate... Yeah it was nice being able to get out to a location where I didnt really have to work too hard to find the shots that I wanted - Not to mention the conditions will always present something different as well anyway - Hope that you've been doing well 👍👍
Nice video Neil, must get back there myself in the new year. when levelling images and having the case scenario you mentioned, My preference is to choose the water because that must be Level as it is the only thing that is totally self levelling! Buildings and land can over time change, but water will always remain
Thanks Alex, yeah its always a nice little spot to visit - Will probably get back there again next year, when there is a better chance of a Sunrise!! Thanks for the tip about the levelling... Didnt think about that
Bodiam Castle great location ruined by National trust wardens. This was the only National trust place where i was questioned by Wardens, i have visited loads of places owned by the National trust. I was a member of the National trust after my experience at Bodiam i terminated my membership. In my years as a pro photographer this was the only place i was stopped from taking pictures.
I would not go to Bodiam Castle to take pictures it is owned by the National Trust. When i went there while was Photographing the Castle a National trust warden kept asking me i hope you are not selling these pictures, if you are i am going to stop you taking pictures here. This Bloke was just following me around trying to stop me taking pictures, was not a pleasant experience. When the National Trust own something they stop people taking pictures, only Photographers either commissioned by them, or supply their own picture library can take pictures.
@@PeterLewis21 Yeah Im not surprised by that, its why when I visited here I was done in the Grounds itself before they opened. I did have one worker on a Golf Buggy drive past me as I was leaving, giving me a proper evil eye, but didn't say anything to me
There is public right of wat through one part. They cant stop you from there. Its not the taking, its the publishing. If they want they can search for the buildings online then take action. They dont need a warden..
