Adam is colourblind and Steph has a neurological disorder which means she has a tremor, this throws some extra obstacles our way when it comes to creating art but we still enjoy the process anyway! I’m actually amazed with how much creatively you guys have 😭 like I LOVE being creative, but my brain can’t focus enough to make art EVERY day, meanwhile here you guys are constantly doing different creative things 🥹🥹
It's fun when there's two of you and you can bounce ideas off one another and get advice too ❤️
I love it whenever Steph's birthday comes around because it's around/on my birthday, so it feels like a lil gift.
I need to start carrying glue around so i can stick my thumbnails into a little book instead of just having an apron full of reciept paper! That's a dead cute little lego book. And the crab! Most excellent of crabs!!!

I start university tomorrow ‼️‼️ I'm so nervous, I'll be studying 2d animation, which has BEEN MY DREAM basically since I started watching you when I was like 13😭😭

Aghh loved seeing the piggies, they are so adorable- especially with their excited jumps and bounces! My rabbit Felix would do that, he would sometimes 'binky' so high! Excited to see the big reveal of the presents and wow, what gorgeous artwork! I love how much colour you use!

We recently moved so all is chaos at the moment. I'll watch the Doodle Date Extra channel when I've got my arty room sorted out. Save the wrapping paper for some junk journaling with the stickers and washi tape, and have a lovely birthday.

I can make comic pages without thumbnails but I do require to write out the dialoge. I am doing more thumbnails for pages further in the story so i dont forget!

I remember ribena existing in Australia when i was a kid in the early 2000s but my parents never let me get any cause they said I'd hate it 🥲
Now as an adult I've never seen it in the supermarket anymore :((

I ALWAYS storyboard roughly my comic pages, there ain't no way in hell i'm going in raw for it, I have to do at least two passes of sketching for comics before I go do the lineart, otherwise I tend to waste a lot of time correcting the anatomy etc during linearting which could of been avoided if I did a more refined concrete sketch, plus it also helps with creating interesting panelling throughout the comic if I do a rough sketch first :D but also usually I've got the script or a rough idea written down on either discord or on my trello idea board so I got something to follow, a lot of the time I sit and just imagine how the scenes would play out as a movie, write that down, then I do my rough storyboard/thumbnailing sketches.
So Adam you totally not alone with the roughing it out first!

I'm a comic artist and when I come up with thumbnails and such, they end up being really rough. I also have to actually write the script first before I do any drawing. It helps tell me what the scene should generally look like

I have one of those little royal talens art creations sketchbooks too and I mostly use it for watercolour and it warps like crazy so maybe I should use it more for drawing like you have 🤔

I had a question I was going to ask on stream, but if you find this comment first, I know you both draw with ipads from time to time, and I wanted to know, which is better for drawing? A big one or a little one?
I think it comes down to how big you like to draw! If you're able to try one out in person if you're ever near a store that has them on display, it's such a huge help to get a feel for them ❤️
