I love runes and tarot even though I’m not overly experienced with them. They have always been very accurate and I’ve always trusted my intuition with choosing a deck. I just recently got some botanical oracle cards and I’m in love! They have also been spot on! But I really love taking baths and meditating. I think this is my favorite form of divination, even thought it might not be considered one. Instead of scrying on a black mirror or just water from the bath, I like to use the blackness from closed eyes to be where images can form. I’ll listen to binaural beats and think about my question and let the light works do their magic. It’s worked very well for me in the past and I feel as though I’m connecting to spirits that are reaching out to give me advice.
I am way more versed in runes than tarot but I love both! Do you find them different in the way the readings feel? I always feel the runes are more direct (almost rude sometimes haha) :D I love you way of divination - finding the answers in the blackness behind the eyelids
The witches' cookery yes! I feel the same way! But I made a point to get a deck of tarot cards that were more positive and less aggressive. I’ve heard many people say that are very direct but mine are nice to me and give me words of wisdom in a way that says what I need to hear but with a gentle hand or a positive slap at the end. While runes just don’t care 😂 they are very straight forward in the “¯\_(ツ)_/¯ welp this is what it is. The end.” Kind of way! Sometimes I need that, and usually when I’m more emotional, funny enough.
@@charmupyourlife1934 oh I totally get that 😄 I also choose my method of divination on what I need at that moment. So nice that there are different options out there that can give you just the right dose of a kick in the butt 😄
my Rune set is cut from a native tree i grew in our garden of our first owned home. i made them cutting the rounds and carved each one while thinking about each meaning of the rune i was carving
This is such a gorgeous video :) and with so many great tips! I love the idea of making your own divination tools, I think that makes them so much more personal. Making Ogham staves from each tree is now on my witchy bucket list. I've also been thinking about starting to work with Norse runes, so I love this idea of making them from stones from a special place, rather than just buying them!
Thanks ♥️ it does feel really special using them indeed. Finding all the trees for the ogham can be a bit of a challenge (depending on where you live haha it did take me a good 3 months and I am still missing two haha)! Would love to hear it, once you can tick that box on your witchy bucket list 😄 I also saw people fashion runes out of slices of wood, if you don't live close to a river ☺️
I have an idea to use that shell game that's used in gambling where they shuffle some bowls with an object inside only it will be four bowls and four stones to represent the elements. Whichever one is under the bowl I lift will be the elemental teacher of the day
This was enjoyable! I'm glad to see other practicioners who know that our pagan ancestors did it DIY. In nature with natural resources. Although im sure the merchants back then had ready made for sale too.
Your English is amazing, sorry I don't know a word of German. For the Ogham you need to ask the tree's permission and sometimes the tree wants payment, as thanks.
Oh how exciting! I find runes are such a great addition to tarot cards, as the reading with them just has a different (more raw) feeling to it. would love to hear how yours turn out! :)
Wow I'm so glad I found this channel thankyou so much you don't know how MUCH I need witch craft bk in my life & the true essence & the spiritual feeling I get & feel from witchery & how much I've missed what I think is my true passion & my true calling & 💯% my true love ❤️💌
Speaking of cards, have you heard of the Animal Medicine Cards by David Carson and the late Jamie Sams? I have a deck of them somewhere in my unit. Besides the collection of animal cards with a book of instruction/interpretation, there are something like six blank cards that the user can customize with photos of animals, people, objects, etc., along with the user's own personal interpretation in blank note pages at the back of the book. It's quite a cool and meaningful collection. Jamie Sams also created a collection of cards known as the Sacred Path Cards, but I'm not as familiar with those...
Wow, that is all very interesting, especially about runes. I am not practicing anything like that, but it's good to know. I like anything DIY, your very creative! Have a lovely Sunday!
This was stunning! As a creator I know exactly how much though, planning, time and effort this video took. It is a true gift to your online family 🙏🏽🤗. I also appreciate and agree with your views on divination. When I started back in the 80s with my first deck, there weren’t as many resources other than future telling spreads. I found, because of my ability to manifest, readings became self fulfilling prophecies, not always good. For the past few decades I work with cards to write a narrative where I pick the cards intentionally, or to add energy to ritual. Around 3:25 there is totally a skull in the rock face! Did you notice?! 😃 .... could you put black cloth behind the mirror instead of painting it? ... I purchased a beautiful set of oghams from each tree they correspond to from one of my favourite Etsy shops, but sadly they aren’t around anymore 😒.... have always loved the idea of tea leaf reading, mama did this, but I suck at it lol. I think my mind is to pragmatic at times lol. Oddly, you would think the established method of Tarot would suit me, but I actually prefer Oracles! Heehee. Have to say it again, you did such an amazing job!! I will DM you an deviation process I am working on, soon! Much love!!
This is such an interesting way to use them! I do think I remember seeing something along those lines on your IG once a couple weeks back ☺️ I totally didn't see the skull - so now I have to go back and watch it hahah I did look for certain patterns or color shades when choosing the pebbles for specific runes but that one must have escaped me. And yes, you could totally put a black cloth or paper behind the mirror and it would work just the same - probably also easier then messing around with paint 😂 I actually very rarely use tea leaves for reading - even though I rrrreally enjoy cloud scrying - which in some ways is similar. Sooo excited for our couldron & cakes project btw 😄👏👏👏👏
Rune Stones, Skrying, The Ogham, Tea Leaf Reading...DIY Tarot Cards. I particularly liked The Ogham being of Celtic origins myself. My Great Grandmother on my mother's side was a witch apparently! I'd forgotten about this until right now whilst I was watching this wonderful video of yours! This was another amazing video and so full of interesting information about divination! Thanks for bringing back the memories Rebekka and have a great week!
Just a little note on the Ogham: it's not runes, it's a writing system (which you can also use as an oracle). the word "Runes" only includes the nordic runes that most of us know. a lot of people make that mistake and call it "celtic runes" altlhough that's tecnically not possible. I just wanted to mention that ^^ Oh and beautiful video footage, as always :)
Oh that is s good to know! 😁 Thanks for mentioning it ♥️ - I looked up the books about the ogham that you mentioned in your last video as I want to dive deeper into it and I think your suggestions on that topic are fantastic 👍
I want to learn more!!!! More about reading tarot with regular cards and the other thing that popped up to subscribe to that I couldn't get to fast enough or couldn't find what you were talking about being "below". Help please!
How did I miss this entry!? My daughter and son-in-law will be visiting Scotland in June. They will be doing a self guided road trip. After viewing this, the thought crossed my mind for them to collect a few stones and some form of wood along their travels. Then from that collection I would make my runes which would, I my mind, connect me with them more. Reason being is that I've only reconnected with her in the past couple of years. And also, I asked for a tea service. Any suggestions?
Beautiful tools you made 😍 I want to try the rune stones myself :D It's perfect that I travel to Rügen next week ☺️ I hope I'll find some beautiful stones there! And amazing that you could film that stork 😃 it's always very special for me to see one as they are very rare in Oberallgäu
They are so fun to play around with - can only recommend them! Oh I am so jealous haha I want to travel to the coast too - enjoy the sea breeze there ☺️ here we have many storks, the city I was born in is even famous for them 😁
Thank u! Very lovely video🌻✨🌙 deeply enjoyed. About runes. What do u think about that runes only should be used with people working in Scandinavian egregor/practicing Scandinavian magic cause runes are made for people with strong willpower?
The witches' cookery thank u for answering! Also, your idea with Celtic tree alphabet resonates with me sooo much⚡️ especially the part where certain tree possesses certain energies. Definitely will research this subject and collect branches🌳 here in Russia there are plenty of different trees. Thank u for bringing this up!
@@marianesova5472oh how exciting! it is such an interesting subject - there are many great books out there on the topic of the Celtic Ogham :) depending on what part of Russia you are in, you should be able to find most of the trees. 💚

So interesting, thank you for sharing! I just love the look and feel of rune stones, I have always been drawn to them. I will have to make my own now!
Well I am sure with your artsy talent you will make them into something truly amazing 😄💚
Me and my friends did a discovery fair on the Salem witch trials and we mentioned Elder Futhark Runes
The fact that you found one stone like that is amazing but you found two in a row! The luck you have dear Bex 🌀✨💓
