Absolutely great video and series. You are one of the few people that actually try to find your own ways to solve these issues and are honest. Did it also solve the issue on the a6700?
Thanks! I picked the Sony ZV-E1 in 4K/120 because it is the worst case scenario. So if it worked for that situation, it should be more than ok with the A6700.
Just picked up a ZV-E1 at Best Buy as an open box for $1,200 I did not need it but at that price I couldn’t pass it up… it pairs very well with my A7 IV
i have there second one they made but it does not stay in the a9iii screen ...it u bump the camera it will fall out ...i dont think there made for the new flip out screens on the a9iii a1 mark ii and any new flip out screens from sony ....i would love to see if this new one can stay put on the new screens cuz the a9iii will over heat in 4k 60 and 4k120 after like 30mins
Mode one is not very loud but mode 2 is more powerful and also louder. But I don't think either modes are loud enough to make a difference when filming sports. Especially if you use a shotgun mic.
@@BillAshtonNelo if your mic is withing 2m/6feet of the camera in quiet studio, even on level 1 the fan will get picked, 2 even louder. Outside it should be fine. I was negatively surprised by the noise, unusable for me in my room. I'm sticking with my pc fan with an usb adapter, cooling is even better and it's pretty much fully silent, barely audible withing a few inches. In my case the ulanzi is just like their gen 1 fan a waste of money. My pc fan solution is way better and only cost me less than 10$
I have 256Gb cards so I never use more than one card for a game. But if I was filming multiple games in one day, I would probably bring my laptop and backup my footage on it after each game.

What ISO and shutter speed were you using while filming the basketball at 120 fps?
Thanks for posting this video. I needed this one.
My ISO was at 12800 (second native ISO on the ZV-E1) and my shutter speed was at 1/400

Good move!
Definitely jelly… got me looking at bestbuy right now… lol

If you click on the link in the description, it will lead you to the Ulanzi website and the full list of compatible cameras.
if i get just the fan itself (no battery), does it have the same performance? or does the battery help cool the camera even more than just the fan?
Yes! I’ve got the original with no battery and it works great.
You can still use power banks and such as it is USB C powered
Actually make sure to get the one that has the internal battery if you’re going to buy one! Just saw the rest of the video
The battery does not make it more powerful than plugging the fan into a V-mount battery.
LOL ... just upgraded from my g9ii to a gh7 because the gh7 had a cooling fan built in ... wonder if this would've fixed my overheating issues.
It might not fit with that camera anyway. Check the list of compatible cameras, it might take care of your fomo 😂
how loud is the fan noise and does it vibrate?
It does not vibrate. The fan does make some noise in mode 2 but not enough to be a problem while filming sports. Especially if you use a shotgun mic.
@@BeyondTheGame_E Thanks!
what mode was the fan on during the game?
Automatic
Does it fit in the a7iv? Just had a problem with overheating at a basketball game shooting 4k60 recently.
Never mind, saw it is compatible on their website
Ordered from your link. No brainer. Hope it works for me.
It should work fine, thank you for your support!
Did u turn you heating sensor on high? A7IV.. once I did that.. never had over heating problems
Great video. Another reason I love my Sony Fx30, built in fan lol
Yes it definitely takes a lot of pressure off both the camera and the videographer! 😂
How loud is it? I bought the small rig fan and it has a really loud whine.
Mode one is not very loud but mode 2 is more powerful and also louder. But I don't think either modes are loud enough to make a difference when filming sports. Especially if you use a shotgun mic.
I was hoping for a better solution for live streaming. Thanks

My question is how do you get HDMI control full screen on your monitor?
Do you mean how do I get rid of all the display info?
Awesome video! 🔥
Thanks 😊
Full list of compatible cameras in the description. Where?
Click on the cooling kit’s link. It will send you to the Ulanzi website where the official list is.
and here is me watching the whole video. Yet, I have none of the cameras mentioned here.
Well at least if your camera ever overheats you'll know what to do.
Well done video 👏 first time catching your channel. New subscriber 🤘🇨🇦
Glad you found the channel and thanks for subscribing!
Very interesting. Hoping for a review on a canon R5.
That's a great idea but I don't have a relationship with Canon so at this point in time I doubt it will happen anytime soon.
Thamks
You're welcome!
Thx great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Hi I always wonder How do you manage sd cards for a full day filming ? how many cards do you have ?
I have 256Gb cards so I never use more than one card for a game. But if I was filming multiple games in one day, I would probably bring my laptop and backup my footage on it after each game.
Yo E whats good bro! Happy Holidays 🎄🍾📸 Peace from Toronto 💯🇨🇦
Happy holidays to you too!
Bro use a dummy battery. Its your battery heating up.
I've done that test multiple times and it doesn't change anything. The dummy battery gets just as hot as a normal battery.
@@BeyondTheGame_E Noted. Maybe its cause im using a canon.
@@ovrlyfocusd Maybe 🤷🏽♂ I've never done the test with a Canon camera
