This is fascinating. You have proved electronics do not have to be so expensive. When you finish this project, you should build a single and two axis autopilot! I am a buyer of both. I am building Sonex Onex s/n 0189. Keep up the innovative work.
There are other, much cheaper options but they would require the "fusion" algorithm development. BNO055 has an internal processor and all the built-in software to do it on-the-fly.
Thanks for this video. You did a very good job. I have all of the parts to build this EFIS but no breadboard yet. I still need to download the sketch. Any chance of buying your PCB or two and mailing to the States?
Hi Jon, Thank you for your interest. The PCB boards are available from the store on the website experimentalavionics.com/store/ The sketch has just been uploaded on the project's page: experimentalavionics.com/efis-19264-ver-1-2/ Feel free to download it. Let me know if you have any questions. Oleg
Experimental Avionics Hello Oleg, I have ordered 2 each of your boards plus 2 cases. I included 1 shipping charge to the US. Is it enough? Let me know if it isn't. This will go in my Diamant-18 sailplane which is experimental and will be a backup in my Cessna 172. For the glider it will be a primary instrument and for the Cessna it will be a backup instrument. We can never be too safety conscience. When I get my items, I should then have the time to build it. I have all of the parts for your first version and I think I ordered all of the parts for version 2. I will check after I send this post. I ordered 2 each for any mistakes I may make and then one will be a second unit for experimentation. I hope this purchase helps you too. Many thanks. Jon
It is my opinion that you have a really good and innovating product, also I believe that you should consider to "Do a Kickstarter program" and try to come out with one that uses a larger color screen. I'm positive that you will make a truck load money! and you probably will establish your name as a reputable business.
Well the only thing that I can say is that "I have the best intentions and wish you a great success on your business venture" for we all try, and some time things work for the best and some time don't... good luck..
Олег здравствуйте! Отличный девайс!!! Имею большое желание собрать нечто подобное) Есть возможность связаться с вами в соц.сети или по электронной почте?

All that is about $100?
Hi Oleg. Great video. I am ready to order the kit. Do you already have all the components?
arduino Source code? and could you provide the pcb layouts for me please however i need to modify it as i am going to use a home made arduino uno
Are there any other options then using the BNO-055Gyro-Magnetometer-Accelerometer? Other Accelerometers can be had for just a few dollars.

Thank You for the rapid Reply. B0055 it is then.

In the coming months, I will keep you informed as to how my build is working out.

People say - To make a truck load of money in aviation you need two truck loads of money to start with. :)
