Germany should've had a red card from ~20th minute if I remember right, because that idiot Kross deserved at least 4 yellow cards, and got only 1 during that match... if the red card happened, the Cucurella arm never would've been a thing, and the game wouldn't even go to the added 30 minutes, Spain would've won easily.
All in all, Spain played the best football during the entire tournament and deserved to win every game.

Spain were the best team in this tournament uncontested, only Germany took them to 120 mins. England really tried to park the bus and hit with a individual goal and hope for the best. Spain had to beat serious contenders to get to the final, England barely got out of the group stage in first place.

We got absolutely destroyed. We played shit the whole game and not even that for the whole tournament. It’s poor it really is poor. Rhodri was obviously injured for a while and was holding Spain back. When Zubimendi came on they were much more mobile in midfield.

Shaw does NOT get enough recognition. He exceeded his expectations and was very literally the ONLY person attempting to fulfill the roles necessary for England to win. Rice, Foden, Walker just performed awfully and Jude/Saka/Main were severely unable to perform at their best due to Spains overbearing pressure. Better Football will always win.

@@misterdarkotacu7459 Germany dominated most of the game slightly, Kroos would have never gotten a red card, but a very early yellow which would have influenced the game for sure.
If Germany would have had more luck they would have won the game in extra time, but Spain had the luck and killer instinct on her side.
And always remember that it was a penalty according to Fifa rules, Spain was just as lucky as Germany with the Kroos situation.

Once the match was tied, Spain went on the attack and everything changed again. The Spanish coach also took out Nico William and Lamine Yamal in the 85th minute, which made Florian's goal possible. It is also worth clarifying that UEFA has already said that this will not be a penalty.

Spanish here, you know what your problem is? football is a collective game made of teams, every single time, every tournament there was a star and a lot of guys who wanted the best FOR THE TEAM and not for their respective careers, they all help each other. Picture Argentina with Lionel Messi, before the WC they were amateur at best, but they wanted their legendary captain to get the cup. Every team should be like it, play their best, do their best, for the good of the team. You have legends and 3/4 best players in the world, but you do not act as a team, never have been and when you start doing it. Youll be unstoppabble, you need to find a game plan and stick to it, not counter attacks but probably the pressure and the strenght Netherlands put on the 2010s World Cup, you have the tools, WORK WITH EM

Individual players, and the quality they showcase at their clubs. As a Welshman, you can't deny England the best set of individual players in the world, but I don't think Southgate has enough in him to handle it all, and get it to gel like Spain. Foden and Saka should have had tournaments like Nico and Yamal, but were miles away. Sometimes you need to forget about some of the big guns to make it work. Basically, the Scholes, Gerrard, Lampard situation all over again, unless you're Pep, I don't think Jude and Foden can play in the same team. Mad, that he didn't even experiment with Gordon or Palmer from the start of games. I love to see it, but it's mad such a great squad of players has been wasted yet again. By the time the next major tournament comes round I reckon Germany and Spain will be much stronger than now. This was the chance imo.
