Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's game's campaign follows up the story of Black Ops and is set in the late 1980s and 2025. In the 1980s, the player switches control between Alex Mason and Frank Woods, two of the protagonists from Black Ops, while in 2025, the player assumes control of Mason's son, David (codenamed "Section"). Both time periods involve the characters pursuing Raul Menendez, a Nicaraguan cartel leader, who is responsible for kidnapping Woods in the 80s and later sparking a second Cold War in 2025. The campaign features nonlinear gameplay and has multiple endings.

Here’s a little tip man if you want a good ending when you play as woods shoot the men in his lower body like knees you’ll know what part this is you have a sniper you’ll be on the top of a building just a little reminder it’s not a person you think it is

I really wish they made a remake of Black Ops 2 for next gen consoles. I feel this was the best COD for online play. Loved it.

The Strike Force Missions can lead to two endings, one is considered the canon ending since Black Ops 3 has mentions and hidden hints of what happened and the other one is a great ending, especially with some great music. Also, don't forget to explore the area with the Access Perk. You should also load into missions with different guns.
Also, Canon and Music Ending is affected by sniping a guy. Also, because you picked up the CIA Memo, this serves as another tool to not kill the target.
Also, real fun fact, Manuel Noriega sued Activision for how he appeared in the game. They were also sued because Jonas Savimbi's family members didn't liked how he was in the game. Both lawsuits were dismissed.
Also, when you get to Black Ops 3, you gotta check out the Nightmare mode after the campaign.

The flashbacks are near 1981 which means that these missions might be in cold war
So they have been planning over the years?
These flashbacks are set in 1986 - 1989, which is presumably after they've taken out Perseus (sometime in 1981?).

The strike force missions are optional but for the best ending you have to do them however the best ending is quite difficult to get so don’t do them. Also when you are playing as woods and hudson confirms that it’s the target and says shoot him in the head with a sniper, please don’t. Shoot the leg twice, the ending will pay off 👍
The ending is not difficult, if you are playing in hardened, if it’s in veteran then yeah don’t go for the ending, got the good one first try
A ding dong Bell well yes it isn’t difficult but there are a lot of things you need to do in order to get the best ending. For example you need to get all 3 “collectibles” or intel I can’t remember what it’s called it’s been so long but you need to get all 3 on each mission. You also need to keep karma alive, mason alive, lock up menedez and unfortunately you have to kill Harper. All of those steps will grant you the “best” possible ending.

Don’t do the strike force missions. their a waste of time. No one plays them
They actually help you along the campaign missions, It’s just that you don’t play him that’s why

it's very cool to play as antagonist to understand his backstory also
I really do miss bo2 brings bacc memories wit all my friends. We used all go to school then came bacc home eat then play bo2 till it was time to go to bed. Also trickshots where dam bad ass if you ever hit one.
