Concerned neighbors speak out following mass shooting at MLK Park

Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - A mass shooting took place over the weekend just a block away from where thousands are gathering every night for a summer concert series, prompting city officials to take action to increase public security.
Rochester Mayor Malik Evans said he will do everything in his power under city code and the gun violence state of emergency to prevent further incidents at MLK Park, located in the city's center surrounded by now-concerned neighbors.
The park will now close three hours early at 8 p.m. and have stationed officers to patrol the area after six people were shot during an argument there early Sunday morning.
The gunfire that struck six people woke up neighbors like Denzel Glenn and Warren Vick, who live just down the street.
"I got woke up out of my sleep, thought it was it was like firecrackers or what not, and just turns out it's gunfire," Glenn recalled. "So I got out of bed and went over to my balcony, and I just looked, and all I could see are people scattering."

lots of people dont know but joshua sanchez he actually was saving a young man who was wounded from a gunshot and a police officer got in his face because he shouldnt have been helping and the police officer started beating him down joshua didnt do anything but help i know all of this because hes my dad and im not just on his side there is a lady who was there too who told him to run thats why he was charged with resisting his arrest
