Sunday In My Shoes | Overnight Creme Brulee French Toast, Pizza Pasta, Patio Cleaning for Fall

- Hello friends and welcome to another Sunday In My Shoes!
Today we're hanging out in my kitchen, making two different family meals and heading out to the backyard to deep clean the patio.
I'm also sharing with you something that has been extremely helpful when doing the laundry for my family of 5, and that's getting my older children involved in the process.

Overnight Baked Crème Brulee French Toast - ourcrowsnest.com/baked-creme-...
One-Pot Pizza Pasta-
2 tbs olive oil
1/2 diced onion
4 minced garlic cloves
1 lb sausage
1 lb ground beef
2 tsp oregano
1 tsp thyme
Salt and Pepper
1 1/2 cups pepperoni
28 oz crushed tomatoes
1 cup pizza sauce
1 lb penne pasta
1 1/2 cups beef broth
2 cups shredded cheese
1 cups grated parmesan
Saute onions and garlic in olive oil for 2 minutes. Brown sausage and beef, drain fat. Add in your seasonings, 1 cup pepperonis, crushed tomatoes, pizza sauce and simmer for a couple minutes.
Add in your pasta and beef broth, bring mixture up to a simmer, cover and cook for 12 minutes. Add in half of your shredded cheese and stir until melted.
Top the pasta off with the remaining shredded cheese, parmesan, and remaining pepperonis. Cover for about 5 minutes until cheese is melted.

Absolutely, I feel like I was drowning myself in laundry and was like, "what the heck, they are fully able to put their own stuff away lol!" and wow has this minor change been a game changer! Yesterday was laundry day (usually Sunday's and Wednesday's) and wouldn't you know, my oldest didn't even leave the pajamas, shorts, and socks, he did them all! He even tried to fold them the KonMarie way, I was so proud (and impressed!) 💓

Oh my goodness, it is THE BEST and the most easiest breakfast option, especially as a make ahead breakfast. i've made this for Thanksgiving and Christmas morning before too, and it's super helpful on those days, when there's so much to be done, but I know that at least breakfast is done, you know? Oh man, French toast is easily one of my favorite breakfast foods ever lol! I actually just went to Trader Joe's recently and picked up a loaf of their Pumpkin Brioche Twist and it was absolutely phenomenal, Jen! 💓
The French toast Looks delicious! Is there any substitute for the corn syrup? My patio looks dusty like that too 🤦🏽♀️
Oh my gosh Liz you had totally reminded me that I had wanted to try this recipe using honey instead of corn syrup this go-around! Darn it, I’ll have to remember to try it with honey next time, but I would assume it would be a good substitute !💕
