Oh my goodness, you just reminded me of a dish I haven't made in a very long time! that sounds very similar! You dredge patties in flour and pan fry, place in a baking dish and cover with white gravy and bake! It's sooooo good, I'll have to make those again soon! 😍💕

Yes! That was me! I have tendonitis and sometimes very sharp kitchen scissors/shears are easier to use! Don’t worry, they’re not junk drawer scissors though😅

@OurCrowsNest5 I have severe carpal tunnel, so I feel you there, but I still wouldn't recommend using scissors on raw chicken because you can't effectively clean the hinge without taking it apart. A run through the dishwasher isn't gonna cut it if anything happens to get down there. What I have found is a good quality knife, and maintaining that knife, makes all the difference for the palm or wrist pain. If it doesn't go through chicken like water, it needs to be sharpened and honed. Kind of a catch 22 because honing can really get me if I used my hands a lot or lifted a lot of weight that day 😅. Still better than having a dull knife though, and it doesn't require maintenance very often depending on how you use it. For me, it's once every few months. I wonder if anyone makes "kitchen scissors" that detach at the hinge 🤔. That would actually be very handy.

@@HelloIbeMatt while I hate that you have carpal tunnel (I couldn't imagine!), I'm glad someone else feels me on this! Oh my gosh and totally feel you on lifting! I don't lift *super* heavy, but when I do, my hands are exhausted by the end of the workout And you're so right, that would be AMAZING if there is some shears that come apart at the hinge! I should look into that, thank you for this very kind comment!

@@HelloIbeMatt Oh please! Kitchen shears are not just for cutting butchers twine, she's perfectly fine using them to cut meat. A soapy kitchen brush and a run in the dishwasher is more than sufficient to take care of bacteria. Christ you people act like chicken is like handling plutonium, get a damn grip!

I was just pointing out the fact that if any of the chicken juice happens to get into that hinge, you can't clean it without taking it apart. Is it a very small chance of contamination? Yeah. It creates a really lovely crispiness to the chicken, plus it helps seal in the natural juices of the chicken and prevents it from drying out when frying it💕
