I didn't think I would like the blue floral more than the blue tile print, but I think the floral one is much more flattering! Kimono and pink shirt are keepers!
Hi Linda, Loved the pink tee shirt on you the colour really suits you, the white top, kimono, and the blue flower print all looked really good on you. They all looked nice but a bit expensive, ok for a special occasion. Sue😊
Really liked your choices Linda ❤. I especially liked the last two tops on you and of course the kimono, perfect. Love Angela, so good at putting an outfit together, will pop over to her now xx
All look great Linda 👍 my favs are the white, pink with kimono and last blue top. The blue tiled one was nice too but the sleeves would drive me nuts 😂 like 3 quarter length sleeves but not elasticated. See yer have a good week 😊
As a larger lady I find I have to buy tailored style clothing which are always more expensive but they fit and hang better, so I suppose you get what you pay for. All the tops looked nice on you and will stand the test of time. 🎉🎉
Hi Linda, my favourite is the kimono and pink t shirt, very pretty! Also liked the last top!❤x…I definitely prefer to spend a bit more for the quality, last much longer and feel the cut is better! Xx
Hi Linda, I thought all the tops looked lovely on you, the kimono makes a lovely change from a cardigans well! Some of the tops were a bit expensive though, more than what I'd pay. Thanks for showing 😊 x
Hi Linda! Loved you in the tiled top, with your jeggings I think some nice gypsey bangles and some nice layered neck chains ,would look lovely maybe for a nice pub lunch, loving your channel x
Hi Linda Lovely mini haul from John Lewis. I only shop on there if I cannot find what I want elsewhere I liked the tops that you bought and the kaftan. The arm length of the tile print top and they aren’t right on you. The nicest top on you is the first one. You could pair that up with jeans or linen trousers . Also the lat one I liked on you too. See you in the next one x
Hi Linda. Used to buy lots of clothes from what was Trewins before it changed to JL. Which was before Primark and similar invasion. These days tend to buy cheap stuff, wear it to death, chuck it. Retired, so don’t need to look good for work. Saying that all the tops looked good on you. Particularly liked the tile top and the white one for me. You certainly have a turn of phrase Linda, makes me laugh. X❤
@@chrissiematthews7988 Hi Chrissie. I still refer to the Watford JL as Trewins sometimes! I think a lot of my audience is like you and me - retired, don't really have to worry about being glammed up for social events, but still want to look good on a budget. I enjoyed the JL challenge, though! See you again soon x
What a lovely video Linda and all the tops were lovely although I agree with you about the problem length of the sleeves on one of the tops. I suppose you could always shorten them if you wanted to keep it? I thought that the Kimono could be very useful though as an informal jacket over a dress or top? Be well. much love Imi x
Hi Imi, where have you been - I've missed you!! Thank you for the feedback, but it's very unlikely, tbh, that I'd buy something and then alter it. Looking forward to your next video x
Hi sweetie, I’ve been really poorly the last few days with sudden extreme fatigue (due to the Addisons Disease) that knocked me off my feet and then I got a UTI which was a million times worse! 😫 . Thanks to antibiotics being begrudgingly given by my GP I’m finally starting to recover now. Your video was just the tonic I needed ❤ much love Imi
All did look fabulous on you😊 I'm always looking for a white top, that one is very nice, could tuck it in on skirts a bit as well, maybe a belt too.i do like my tops to skim the bottom slightly so they are ideal..I quite like Asda George clothes ,very affordable but do go to bomarche now & again for treat month👍🏻Very lovely as always Linda thank you😊❤❤❤
Hi, You do make me laugh....'ape like arms...' and sticky out fringey bits' - I looked at the white long sleeved top myself for our collaboration. I really like that on you! Bless you for saying I'm professional ❤
Thanks Angela, I think you are, I just fumble along! I think that white tee is a very useful item, I was quite impressed with it. Thanks for joining me in the collab, I enjoyed it x
Hi from Canada 🇨🇦. I can’t offer criticism or advice because all the tops looked great on you even the shorter sleeve one. If you’re paying a bit more you have like the garment don’t you. I always look forward to your videos , keep them coming and don’t get too professional or efficient… 😊. We like you the way you are.
Thank goodness you had the “married quarters” covered up. I mean….when you are doing a collaboration with Angel you have to show some decorum! Congrats by the way for getting this session with Angela, it has been really good. You chose very different styles and all looked good. My favourites are the first blouse you showed but wore last and the kimono. They really looked quality. The kimono would be a “fall back on” item in your wardrobe I think and has inspired me to venture into the darker depths of my wardrobe…..found it, knew I had one, had forgotten all about it…..enter one kimono which I used to love wearing. Going to pack it in a few weeks for birthday cruise. Does this show I have too many clothes? Current partner in inferring that this is a fact! The nerve of him! 😮xx Liz
Hi Linda , I also subscribe to Angela , very professional lady but friendly and watchable . I must admit that I buy cheap clothing and you can certainly see the difference in quality . I grew up poor and remained so after I married and just can’t justify paying £40+ on a single top . However I like your selection and you look good in them all . I know , I know , I’m cheap 🤷🏻♀️😂💐. By the way I am pretty sure those sleeves were meant to be three quarter length 🫶🏻

The tile print blouse was lovely, I see what you mean about the sleeves, however, they didn’t look odd🤷♀️. All in all, a lovely haul. I’ve just subscribed to Angela 😀
I shop at John Lewis for clothes and they are the ones I wear the most. As you said you get what you pay for. I thought you looked really smart in the ones you wore and they suited you 100%. Great video❤❤
Watching your channel and listening to you. As much as the tops were nice I would begrudge paying that amount of money. My favourite top on you was the white one loved it, I tend to wear dark colours (I'm plus size) but recently wore a white one and everyone complimented me on it so maybe it's good to push yourself out of your comfort zone. Hi Marie. I usually choose more affordable brands as I feel a lot of my viewers are like me and want to look nicen but not everyone has a lot of disposable income. However, some do, so JL was probably worth trying. I probably won't shop there again until I have a special occasion! I'm glad you enjoy the channel x
I don't think I've ever bought clothes directly from John Lewis either. As a store I find itgenerally intimidating. Gosh Linda, stop trying to cover bits of you. You are a lovely looking mature woman. You don't need to hide anything. I do understand we all have lumpy bits in some garments and I'm always for smoothing those out with good undergarments but surely we shouldn't be having to hide ourselves away. I liked all of your items but yet again my faves were the pink sleeveless top with the vibrant kimono over. Every girl needs those pastel tops once in a while, but you do look stunning in vibrants. Frankly though, no, I'd rather pay less than pay out for the likes of John Lewis. If I happen to find something from there in a charity shop, that's fine, but my clothing budget wouldn't net me much from there that's new. Like the idea of collabs and now going to see what Angela chose!

I probably won't shop there again for clothes, but it's good to show you all a wider range, I think x Tell Angela I sent you!! 😁
Liked the blue tile print top and the kimono but not keen on the others, main reason is that for me they seemed a bit pricey for what they were. I’ve never shopped at John Lewis for clothing and on looking at their website probably never will. Thanks for sharing though. x
