I get the point but Stafford was never fortunate enough to have a coach as inspiring and as good as Dan Campbell and a GM that can find the right talent and charactered players like Brad Holmes. But imagine winning that too and taking the team to their very first super bowl. Even if you don't win it, still a huge accomplishment
He’s by no means perfect or amazing, but he can shine bright and get us to great heights. The slumps are tough but you can see him growing. He’s still young and still has some fire left in him.

I am 53 been rooting for Stafford for 12 yrs been rooting for lions for 50. Stafford got his ring, now lions need 2 or 3 to show they got the better end of that trade, lfg lions.

Lol Stafford wasn’t a bad QB bro. I’ll be booing him as loud as anyone but I’m not gonna act like he was ass with us. He was just sapping up way too much of our salary cap without a good team around him so we had to go in a different direction. The only one true year where I put the blame on him was 2014. We had the second best defense in the league, two pro bowl receivers in Calvin and Golden Tate, a solid RB in Reggie Bush who rushed for close to 900 yards, a decent O Line, and even our GOAT kicker in Prater. Even with that team around him he still put up mediocre numbers and didn’t get it done. Other than that and maybe his horrific play down the stretch of 2013, where we went from 6-3 and a chance at the division to finishing 7-9 and missing the playoffs, we can’t really blame him for the Lions’ futility. Management was woefully inept during those days. But that said, I don’t have some “soft spot” for the guy either. Goff is our QB now and accomplished things that Stafford never could. Matthew is the enemy and he should be treated as such by every fan in attendance this Sunday.
