i just love how they made sure that the line “MY SCARS I WILL SHOW IT ALL” is heard so clearly just before a drop for more impact, those lyrics really gives me chills because they’re trying to tell themselves (and us) that it’s okay to have scars and to bare them for people to see, in this song they talk as if scars are something you shouldn’t be ashamed of and they’re right, scars can be a symbol of a person’s endurance and perseverance through the challenges of life.

It's understandable, but it still sad how their Japanese release didn't get much attention. I really love their Japanese releases because they're mostly chill yet catchy, with nice melody and lyrics.
It did got a lot of attention though it’s still charting in tower records singles weekly chart though the song legit charted for 100 plus hours and they were able to surpass 90000 oricon sales too I don’t think yt views will determine everything
I guess there's only a few of us who prefers this types of songs than most upbeat ㅠㅠ

Actually it's jype's fault. They only promoted this comeback in their Japanese social media, as if only Japanese Stays should know about this. Also, as you can see, the MV doesn't even have subtitles. All of these things among others has led to this result even though the song is amazing and one of a kind.

日本語曲もっともっと伸ばしたい！
I'm in tears from the nostalgia. The song samples from Changbin's cypher. The visuals give me heavy Levanter vibes, and the choreo feels straight out of their 2019 vibe but combined with their progress and talent they've achieved today. The song feels perfectly balanced with their older groove and newer composing. It sends me back to when I first became a STAY in 2019 but not in a way that they're backpedaling, more like a tribute to their older music.

This song is just another example of their talent for making songs that you feel more than hear. This goes for all their songs. I only know English but it doesn't matter if it is in English, Korean, or Japanese I know exactly what they are saying. When I first listened to Hate To Admit I started sobbing uncontrollably. I didn't know the words, but it didn't matter I felt it. Stray Kids is a language that transcends all languages and cultural barriers.

I'm not exaggerating when I call “Scars” an absolute masterpiece. Not only is this song visually stunning with it's intricate choreography as well as the connection and togetherness of the music video; the elements and aspects of each little clue that goes to their previous music videos.
- The passion they hold during parts of the choreography, the difficulty and intricacy it has in order to show this feeling-very open to different interpretations. However, throughout this mv-I've noticed that their dance moves have them pulling on themselves or depending on each other. For example, the beginning with Chan, the dance with Hyunjin and Changbin then by the end where Minho, Felix, and Hyunjin lift themselves up.
However, there's this feeling that this song evokes-it churns something inside of me that only certain songs can do. I was stunned, surprised, and taken aback especially since I didn't watch the teasers, I wanted to be astonished and I definitely was-it was such a heart-warming moment watching it for the first time. I can't fathom my emotion when I hear this song, it's as if I get this sort of nostalgia that I've experienced before yet there's such a melancholy feeling towards it, albeit the beat and pace of the chorus. I think the different aspects of this song elicit something each person can take.
Don't even get me started on the message, it's beautiful. It shows a natural brokeness, this raw release of words piled together-it just shows how human they are, the pain we feel as people and still moving forward in our lives knowing the scars we have as individuals will create this life lesson, this motivation to go on into the future. Embracing the things you've gone through, making it the reason as to the person you've become. It's fine to fall, it's alright to break, it's natural to get hurt yet it won't change anything.
- They have gone through so much, together and they've only used time, their mistakes and what they've went through to grow stronger, to bend it as a way to become better than ever.
- The tattoos as a symbolism of the scars they have, either emotionally or physically- what they've gone through to perfectly showcase it to the world, proving that they've physically gone through it and they're not afraid to let it be seen.
I'll stop at this point, knowing that I've got my point across. Their versatility never fails to amaze me, it's just every song has this heart to it and it always connects to something, it has a meaning and I love it so much.
