Congratulations William Curry of Salt Lake City, UT... you're our RDW winner!!! Thank you Air Venturi & Sponsors for putting on this awesome event! We appreciate you. Best, Steve
As always excellent work. In case you were not aware of it, 2 weeks ago Donnie (Baker Airguns) shot the Avenger in Central Ohio Benchrest competition. He came in 8 out of 21 in class. (I beat him @ 5th 😉). He beat a bunch of people shooting $2000 and up guns with his stock 22.
Holy crap. Was this like “stock stock” out of the box? I wondered about this. I always thought, these things keep tight groups. My Umerex Fusion will just about drop a bullet into a bullet at 20-30 yrds with the Crossman Premiums, I think, haven’t shot that one in a while. That’s using those air rifle targets with the, maybe 1/8” dots. No wind. I figured with some finagling I could get that out of my Gauntlet or the Avenger when I get that. I wasn’t sure that would be good enough to compete. Found a club in So Cal. Gonna see what they got scheduled out.
Haha wish I had noticed this before ordering an Armada in .25 & .22 Caliber. For hunting purposes though I’m still completely happy, and they both produce ridiculously good accuracy. It’s nice shooting these airguns in the backyard, the powder burners are just too expensive to shoot atm.
You've quickly become my new "go to" for reviews on airguns that I'm interested in buying. I placed an order today for this gun, on the strength of your review, and I cant wait for it to arrive. Honestly I've heard nothing but good things about it all over the internet, so I figure I cant go wrong with this gun as my "break in" to PCP's. Thanks for all your hard work out here...I got into airgunning about a year ago and unfortunately I dont know much. It's from guys like you who teach me the things I need to know, and it's very much appreciated.
Hi, I think this Air Venturi Avenger has opened the gateway for lots of folks with shallower pockets to enjoy and reap the benefits of latest pcp technology at affordable price. Thank you for the wonderful introduction and review. BTW, I hope I am the winner of the giveaway :)
Mines on back order.... was slated for 10/20, now 11/9.... new to pcp arena. This video was what sold me on this model. Can’t wait. My bottle’s at 4500 and I’m counting down the days.
Have mine for a week now. Thank you for the info. It’s one accurate pellet gun alright. Great gun for $300. Have trigger set at HAIR, the only way I lot it. Left pressure at factory specs buy maxed out the hammer spring tension- it hits like a sledge hammer. I lube it after each set ( roughly 50 rounds ). Bottom line is: a GREAT. purchase at this price point. I’m just hoping someone gets busy and manufactures a wood stock for it.
@@bushwhookie1334 I am thinking about buying it, how reliable is it and how bad is the stock? Did you have same problem asmentioned in the video (damaged o-rings)?Thanks
Absolutely one of the best “value” airgun PCPs I have purchased hands down. Nova Vista did a fast 1/4 mile with this one!👍💯🤷♂️ Same crazy accuracy as my Liberty .22 only this time with .25😁😊👌Fat high 5 Air Venturi!
This rifle slaps! got mine last Friday and gave it a quick eco-tune. Plus put some hardware in space between the barrel and screw cap. Enough to get the bark down a bit. Poly pillow stuffing in the butt stock makes it sound less hollow and cheap. Got it zeroed in with 1 mag at 25 yards and at that distance it's boring accurate with the couple pellets I tried. No POI shift between different kinds. Thank you again for all the info and tuning specs!
Great review! Mine shows up in a couple of days. Am I the only one who was sweating through the entire video thinking he was going to knock the bipod off the table?
Steve; I have been following you on both channels to find your videos superbly informative. Needless to say, you seem a knowledgeable, well-learned bloke in the air-gun genre. Thank you for all your expertise explained in a most jovial and structured format. Please, continue the great presentations, for you are a source of much needed information to me, a neophyte in the PCP community.
Steve. After seeing your Instagrams posts, I was thinking this was the poor man's FX Impact. After watching this review, I think it might be if you follow your instructions and maintain the suggested maintenance schedule. Great job!
You make some very good points, I did a video at 25 yards with excellent results Later did a follow up video at 50 yards and I was getting 3 inch groups. After viewing my video I was pretty sure we were shooting a bit to fast for a 14.3 pellet(880 fps). Your video confirms that for me and I will have to revisit 25 and 50 yards with lower reg settings. Thanks for your informative video👍
This video is almost meditative. Really enjoyed it. Haven’t owned an air rifle since a Crosman I had as a teenager back in the 90s. Looks like there have been some crazy advancements.
The high velocity marketing is similar to how in the U.S. we love V8 motors bored over blah blah 10 dual carb, etc etc. MORE POWER! Tim the Tool Man would LOVE a 1500 fps .177.
FYI The barrels are cut off with a Wire EDM Machine. like an Electric Cheese Cutter. The finish on the end of the barrel is the give away. The cut is as close to perfectly square to the axis of the bore as is possible so there is no need for a crown as all the lands and grooves terminate in the exact same place.
😍 thank you. About 7 years ago I put out a review on UA-cam of the the hatsan model 95, which I have shot thousands and thousands of rounds through since then. It’s been an absolute workhorse but I haven’t kept up with the airgun industry and wanted to see what to get next and if prices have come down at all. I saw your review on the news hatsan flash models and was considering them, but now I think I may just get this air venturi. Thanks for the work you put into your videos to help us all make informed decisions.
Yippee!!! Called PYA today and mine in .25 will be here next week! Finally. Man I can’t wait to see what is the same and what is different from my awesome Liberty’s. Thanks for all your hard work Steve. Your videos are really going to help. BTW if they can make this gun for under 100$ just imagine how bad we are being taken on other air guns that we are being charged so much more for. Thanks again God bless.
Well, point isn't that, lol. If they make it for 100, sell it to the distributor for 200, the distributor sells it to the retailer for $250 (and that's not including freight from China and then to the retailer)... I don't see anyone winning big except the consumer, unless they all hit volume. The boutique brands are manufactured WAAAAY better than this and are WAY better appointed too. They're quite costly to produce is what I'm saying 👍
Airgun Exploration & Advancement Channel I don’t doubt any of that. I still think we’re being taken for a ride with some of these high dollar pellet guns.
I've got the Avenger in the bullpup configuration. Cleaned the barrel. Out of the box without any tuning it absolutely loves H&N Grizzlies. About a half inch group at 50 yards with an improvised rest.
Took delivery of the Avenger .25 few days ago, attached a Hawke Vantage scope, quickly zeroed, using a FX Radar. First pellets I put threw chroney was JSB Exact King 25,39gr, rifle reg was maxed out of the box and average FPS was 944,so shooting hot. Next up was NSA slugs,26,8gr average FPS was 902,so probably this setup suiting the slugs, will lower reg and HS to get the pellets around 880 FPS. Overall the accuracy good, will improve with fine tuning and me getting used to the rifle. From what I`ve seen with other reviewers and rifle reg pressure, dropping the reg to 2700 seems to give better air efficiency, without effecting FPS a great deal.
Quick update on fine tuning the Avenger in .25 Degassed and lowered reg to about 1600psi,using JSB 25,39gr was getting 791 fps,so quarter turn on reg and was getting 845fps,slightly less of a quarter turn on reg was hitting 872fps. 50Yard accuracy was sub 1 inch. Getting 6 mags to a fill before dropping and I`m not filling tank to its max pressure, just filling to 4000psi. Reg pressure is showing 2000psi. Also quick update for Steve, not getting any POI from removing DonnyFL Sumo before refill,so happy with that. These JSB Exact Kings are super accurate, don`t think I need anything else, but I`ve ordered some JSB Hades, for the time been I`m going to shoot pellets and get used to the rifle, already have FX and NSA slugs to mess around with.
@@aeropixx Depending on tune. Getting 5 mags on slug tune, thats 2400psi. Pellet tune around 1900psi getting 6 mags but I fill rifle tank to 4000psi so 500psi below max,I think filling to max mite stress my compressor even though it can do this pressure you don't lose much from slightly lower fill pressure. For $300 this rifle punches way above it's price and is perfect for people who like to tinker.
How well did this gun do with the predator polymags short or regular seeing as how you are shooting slugs also how did it to with the hades all of these I shoot in other guns with good results
Steve as has become the norm your revives lead the league in info that goes so much deeper than most. What I think many of us would like to see you do is an occasional"Looken Back " segment on some of the guns you review. The real value in any air gun is how it holds up long term. A great price like $300 for this particular PCP is REALY only a good deal if it doesn't have problems down range after it has been shot for 2,000-4,000 pellets. There is a reason the price is only $300 .I'm not saying this gun won't hold up over time but getting some feedback from the field from 10 folks that have used it for a while would be of interest . I guess perhaps the Board Buzz on any air gun catches up with it sooner or later ,but when a breakaway air gun like this hits the market finding out how it does after the initial applause dies down is important. What do you think about doing some follow up on some of the guns you review ? Thanks for al the energy you put into your work. Holden Over
Thanks for the nice note, I appreciate it. Being an industry reviewer has been great but one of the downsides for sure is that most of what I review goes back right afterwards. Also, my world now is "get it done and on to the next one" because the "gotta get to" line is long and never ending. Long term reliability reporting will need to be up to you guys and I've made peace with that... kinda like it even. In the years after the reviews, I enjoy reading y'alls shares & comments here and on the forums. It helps me to gauge a brand, which helps me know if I want to host another in the future. That all being said, I have held on to the Avenger, so perhaps I'll share some more about it down the road. Best, Steve
I don’t know if anybody’s done this, but in terms of penetrating power and damage at say 50 yards, 75 yards, 100 yards for hunting which will have the most penetrating power a 177 caliber, 22 caliber, or a 25 caliber? You could also test three different pellets, in terms of penetrating power for each caliber. I think it would be very interesting.
I love the reviews Steve does on AEAC and the vlog session for this rifle is invaluable. On the strength of this and the review from Ted's Holdover I ordered 3 of these rifles. This is what I have learned so far that perhaps would not be discovered with guns that were sent from the distributor specifically to be reviewed. I started by bleeding all the air off every gun and running the regulator out to zero so that I could use the tuning guide that Steve provided on the vlog. Then filled every gun to 4200psi. Be prepared to fire the gun repeatedly while filling. On a new gun and with the regulator at the lowest setting the valve clearly has trouble seating and you need to pop it several times to get it to seat so that you can fill the rifle. Setting the regulated pressure is exactly as demonstrated but watch the regulator after firing. I am working on the .25 now and the .22 behaved perfectly but the regulator response on the .177 coming back to pressure was extremely slow. Rapid fire was not going to be regulated since it was taking 3-5 seconds to return to pressure. I have about 60 pellets thru the .177 now and the recovery time appears to be improving considerably. The .22 operated flawlessly in every respect right from the beginning. I scoped and sighted in the .22 first. At the 20 yard limit of my inside range and set to the "pro" tune, with zero break-in time and JSB 18.13g pellets, it is literally a single hole gun thru 10 shots. The only issue I have with the .22 is that the trigger seems to be defying efforts to adjust it so far. It was breaking at 2 pounds out of the box and trying to adjust in both directions I have not been able to get under 1lb 14oz and the response to turns on the screw are erratic at best. So that remains to be figured out but in the tiny bit of shooting I did it was great. The .177 was a whole different world. First the barrel was beyond filthy and seemed to also have some rust. Pulling patches I could actually feel a couple spots where the patches seemed to drag over rough areas. I pulled over 60 patches and still did not feel like the bore was 100% but decided to put some pellets thru before doing any more cleaning. New issue. The magazines are way, way to thick to insert them. Not just tight; but hammer them in and bang them out tight. I used a sanding block and 5 different grits of paper to sand down the clear face (didn't want to change the fit over the bore) and the bottom of the magazines until they would insert smoothly. Then I used micro papers and a buff to bring the faces back to close to clear. I decided not to mess with the trigger since it was breaking nicely and this was a first-blush test. As I mentioned, the slow regulator recovery was a concern but I allowed time between shots and after about 30 pellets it seems to be improving. In trying to tune it I decided to go with 1900psi on the regulator and discovered that, while the .22 gave me the full 5.5 turns on the hammer adjustment, as Steve reported, I could only get about 3 1/4 turns of adjustment on the .177. Even running it in and out several times it seems to have a hard stop at just over 3 turns. So I went with half the turns for adjustment. Again I was able to stack pellets at 20 yards so no apparent accuracy issues. Finally the .25. I haven't gotten to loading and shooting it yet but so far I have noted that the fill cover offsets about 1mm to the side of the tube which indicates the plug may have been cross threaded or is simply an off-center fitting. Not a problem; just a bit strange to have it jog to the side. The barrel was dirtier than the .22 but much better than the .177. The magazines, again, were tight but not impossibly tight. I inserted each one repeatedly then used 800g sand paper to sand down the shiny areas where they were obviously crushing against the sides. That fixed that. Last issue, so far, was a whole section broken off the wall of the shroud end plug. SInce that created a hole that was clearly going to result in turbulence right as the pellet exited I got a piece of drill rod that matches the size of the hole in the plug and am filling the hollow interior side of the plug with epoxy to create a consistent symmetrical exit hole. So no testing of the accuracy yet but I anticipate the same results as the other two calibers SO, the take away is that, as Steve and Ted state repeatedly, $300 rifle. The features at that price point are amazing. But, having got my hands on 3 randomly shipped rifles instead of 1 hand picked and sent for review, I would advise anyone buying these to be aware that there are going to be defects that have to be dealt with out of the box. Hopefully no one will encounter major and impossible to remedy problems but I think anyone buying this rifle should be prepared to do some tinkering before it is really shootable. On the flip side, because I used to be a big fan of .177, and because the scores don't actually matter this year, I am planning to try shooting the .177 Avenger for my entry in AOA EBR 9.5. If it come close to performing at 75 yards like it does at 20 it should be major fun.
All good information, thank you! But as an FYI, I wasn't hand picked anything... as shared in my Vlog vid, I had to go through 2 myself to get a properly operating one 👍😊. Best, Steve
Still haven’t chosen an air gun yet but leaning towards the Avenger. I’ve been a rifle shooter/instructor my entire life and have some small critters living around our new house that a 300 Win Mag maybe a little too much to use on. I don’t think my neighbors would appreciate it as well. Any info I can absorb is always appreciated.
Steve, I have a question for you: In the tuning guide, you presented to us the Nielsen slugs in .216 and .217, mentioning that the gun seemed to like both. In this full review, you seem to have used the .216 'sample' ones (13:50 mn in) for a 50 yard test. Did you also try off camera the .217 ones? If so, can you please share if the gun liked them or not beyond 25 yards?
Hello. The full review is always a 50 & 100 cull further refining the one from 25. If they don't get shared in the vid at 50, it didn't like them at that range. Best, Steve
@@nostalgia9463 Welcome 😊 Basically, I just take the 25 yard performers shared in the Vlog out to film with me at 50 & 100. Whatever works best at those distances winds up in the full review 👍
Been thinking about buying a intro pcp. Was going to pick up the umarex gauntlet. But I think im going to get the air venturi. Seem like this is a better deal then the gauntlet. Thanks for the review made it clear for me on what to buy.
Ok. So put against the Origin, how would you put this gun. I’m looking at not just price, but I have a hand pump like most who have a PCP. So I don’t have a need for that. I already own a .25, and love it, so to buy a .22 is just another round to buy, when I’m already sold on the FX Hybrids. So my thing is quality. And are you shooting it at it highest level. Most FPS, hardest...kick a$$ tune for thumping at distance? Seems on par with the Origin.
Ok. You’ve answered some of the tuning, I’ll watch the other video to get more out of that. If you had to recommend one over the other.....basically I’m looking for a good hunting gun. Looks like the same mag my Gauntlet uses.
So glad they came out with this. Raises the bar for manufacturers to make nice entry level rifles. I haven't put mine down since i got it a month and a half ago. Shoot it everyday. I'm entering the AOA covid EBR with it lol
Good job on the review ,, glad someone come out with one that people like me can afford..Looks like its a pretty darn good gun for what i do down here in Oklahoma.. thanks for the review ..
Steve, as far as moderators go for the avenger, which one from DonnyFL do you think would work best?? Do you think the Sumo would work with the cone adapter, or would I be better off with the Tanto with the cone adapter?? I don't want to have to remove it for every air refill!!
My friend, you have done a scientific/collegiate/thorough/FDA-approved review of this rifle. I've owned my AV Avenger in .22 for about 2 years now. I've shot less than 400 pellets through it, but I do enjoy shooting it. I've got a really fat groundhog making a burrow under my wooden patio and I see him within >50 yards from my house. I need a headshot to take him out quickly and painlessly. I never aim to maim God's creatures- I aim to put them to eternal sleep and send them to groundhog Heaven without them ever knowing they were shot. I appreciate your review because it showed me the only limitation to this rifle's abilities are the operator. :D You gave me the confidence I need to dial my rifle in to pinpoint accuracy. I have a UTG Accushot scope and I'm shooting 14.00 grain RWS Meisterkuglen ammo. I had the rifle pretty accurate with JSB Match Jumbo Heavy Diablo of 18.13 grains, but I read reviews online how these "wadcutter" pellets can be even more precise. I guess we'll see. Thanks for your very informative review, my friend! 🫡
Steve! Help me out! Would you recommend this or the gamo gx 40 for my first pcp? Will mainly be using for rabbits/pests ect here in NZ I love your videos. Very thorough with info and knowledge.
Well Steve here we are again. I’m sure you don’t remember me but once again you have joined me at the top of my wife’s s-t list. The last time was with the Dreamline . I hadn’t may up my mine until you said you were keeping this one. I must admit that for the money, this is as good as the Dreamline and if it does not have any major problems I will say it is better. I can live with the plastic stock, I used one stick of electrical putty and spray insulation and no more flimsy sound. I’ve learned to be careful with my bipod and I’m getting 1”-1/14 at 100yds with a flier every 9th shot with the mag and 7/8”-1” single loading. I will take that every day. It is in .22, thinking about getting a .177. If I’m already on the list I just as well do it up right. Keep the excellent reviews coming and you and the wife stay SAFE!!!
If I was fortunate enough to have handled as many airguns as you I would probably feel the same way. I was speaking as to the adjustability and functionality of a 300.00 gun versus a 1300.00 one. Granted it’s not as smooth nor is the trigger as light but the accuracy is there. Like you said , its only 300.00 but you are getting a whole lot of gun for a little amount of money.
Very nice video. I have just starting to research this Air rifle. It is my fist peek into the Air game. Curious, that size game do you feel comfortable taking with it? Squirrels, rabbits, crows and ravens or ? What do you feel the optimum pellet-slug would be for you type of hunting? Also it has been 2 years, what are your current opinions on the performance and operation? Thanks
I JUST bought a Hatsan AT-44 QE .177 yesterday, and JUST got the email from Pyramyd Air today that this is in stock. Damn, what do I do ? I know, buy both. Geez, this looks like a run at the Gauntlet, for sure. MAYBE better ?
My guess is that it'll have little to no effect on what anyone else is doing or is successful with. If anything, maybe the $300-$350 pricepoint competition will enhance their game some... then again, maybe not.
Steve, I'm stuck on what suppressor to get. I'm wondering if I should go the way you went with the 0db or a donny. Budget is the main thing. But I still want to quiet it down.
Either is good but the Donny now has a much improved adapter which slides deep into the shroud and extends the room around the fill probe allowing for fatter moderators. I shared a series of Instagram pics of it on my Avenger about a week back. Search "hookedonair"
@@AEAC okie dokie thank you👍 you have helped me decide which airgun I want to get!!! I have watched a lot of your videos before my decision and this airgun was the one!!!
This does it for me. I've been holding onto (6) $100 bills for months, unsure if I should make this purchase. Pyramid is supposed to have more .22 models in stock on 2-8-2021. I'm also going to get a yong heng HPA conpressor. Looks like $600 well spent.
I love this review, one of my favorite I've seen since finding your videos yesterday. I read through the comments as best I could but didn't find any information on the bipod you are using on this gun in the video. Could you possibly provide any additional information about that particular bipod so I may look into it further? Thank you and please have a wonderful day!
Great review! I'm new to air gunning and I'm thinking about purchasing this gun. However, I almost always see it being shot from a bench rest. The gun looks massive. It is light enough to carry around out in a few acres of wilderness for a couple of hours, just basically plinking? Also, is it a generally accurate observation that a .177 will deliver a higher shot count? I am not much concerned with stopping power as I am with shot count. I am coming from shooting .22 CB or .22 short or Long Rifle, depending on what is available. But I have no issue shooting .22 CB shorts, which probably deliver less energy than some of the pellets at the higher settings shown here. The rimfire shortage is what is responsible for my new interest in air rifles. Thanks or any info! Great thorough video!
Thank you. One could go .177 for a greater shot count but as shared in my other video on my other channel, why would ya when one can tune the .22 for 100+ shots in a fill? Yes, as shared in both vids, the Avenger is feather light 👍 Steve
New airgunner, your video got in front of me. Love the lab radar, love the data, prolly gonna have to pick on of these up. My wallet ?thanks? you? Yea it probably doesn't but hopefully this will keep the 'have to have the best' gremlins at bay.
Great review ! Must now have one for a .25 However, before I jump on that grenade (stupid long pre-order wait) will that same .30 cal moderator work with it? How would I go about purchasing one just like it and an adapter for it? Thanks for your reviews, they are very useful !
Hello. I spoke to the moderator for y'all on AEAC Vlog, Instagram, and Facebook but a Google search will bring up places to purchase too. Those places should also have access to adapters. As for a .30 on a .25 you just have try and see if it works without clipping... also I spoke about some tips & tricks in Fridays Instagram Live Vid with Pyramydair 👍
When Steve O says he's keeping it... speaks volumes. Poor ole Gauntlet is gonna feel left out come Sept. after Baker Airguns send me, my new .22 AVENGER.
Yea i think my gauntlet is going to be jealous. My gauntlet is 25 and tuned pretty hot. The Avenger coming is 22 so they each have their place i guess. I just have like 10000 22 pellets and don't own a 22 any more. That was the justification i gave to the ol lady.
@@nicedward7544 this is the first airgun I bought and I almost bought the gauntlet but then saw this and saw that it made the gauntlet look like child's play😝
How these things holding up after 6 months? Hearing a lot about leaking? Really thinking of getting one in the UK which is no easy task... would need to import from Europe so want to ensure its going to be worth it!
How much do you think this gun would benefit from a good crown job on the barrel. Mind you I have the DonyFL 1/2 20 barrel adapter installed and the Tanto moderator. Thanks.
HI Gino. I began reviewing the Avenger Bullpup 7 weeks ago. You can follow my progress on Instagram, "hookedonair" or on my other UA-cam channel, "AEAC Vlog," where I've already released a full tuning & setup guide on the Avenger Bullpup .25 cal. I just finished filming the full review of it for this channel and should be done producing the video in another week or two. Best, Steve
Wow the 27gr H&n hold that fpe the rest was about the same as pellet maybe it’s more snug and air not passing around it.. like to see a crowned barrel for and see what the difference would be

I have 800.00 guns like AEA SL Standard and Benjamin Armada in 25. cal, you will love this gun, it shoots like the high end guns if not better.
Steve;
I have been following you on both channels to find your videos superbly informative.
Great job!
Lol, it ain't that, not even close but it is a lot of fun and does get the job done 🙂
Good
You make some very good points, I did a video at 25 yards with excellent results
Later did a follow up video at 50 yards and I was getting 3 inch groups. After viewing my video I was pretty sure we were shooting a bit to fast for a 14.3 pellet(880 fps).
Your video confirms that for me and I will have to revisit 25 and 50 yards with lower reg settings.
Thanks for your informative video👍
great information, thank you for sharing. Best, Steve
I was going to buy the gauntlet ,but this is by far a better rifle.
I bought the gauntlet in .25 and am modding it to be a 60+ fpe gun, and this will be my .22
This video is almost meditative. Really enjoyed it.
Haven’t owned an air rifle since a Crosman I had as a teenager back in the 90s. Looks like there have been some crazy advancements.
First class review as always Steve.Good thing this one is reasonably priced. People are going to be dishing out a LOT of 💰💰💰 on ammo!!
The high velocity marketing is similar to how in the U.S. we love V8 motors bored over blah blah 10 dual carb, etc etc. MORE POWER! Tim the Tool Man would LOVE a 1500 fps .177.
Thanks for all your hard work and the free education you've been giving me Steve.
Thank you Steve and Tyler for all the good information, I ordered the Avenger thinking last April and still waiting for it to ship. 🤷🏻♂️
Would this be a good choice for small pests, prairie dogs and such?
Nice touch adding the tuning video, much appreciated !
Quick update on fine tuning the Avenger in .25
Degassed and lowered reg to about 1600psi,using JSB 25,39gr was getting 791 fps,so quarter turn on reg and was getting 845fps,slightly less of a quarter turn on reg was hitting 872fps.
How many shots are you getting with your .25 before it falls off the regulator?
@@aeropixx Depending on tune.
Getting 5 mags on slug tune,thats 2400psi.
Thanks Steve! I purchase this rifle in .25 and set it to the pro tune all based on your review.
Nice video!!! Does this video also count for the bullpup avenger?
Love your composite video @ 18:50 Been watching your vids since your day one and really appreciate your attention to detail and great info.
Great review, best one I've viewed on UA-cam.
How well did this gun do with the predator polymags short or regular seeing as how you are shooting slugs also how did it to with the hades all of these I shoot in other guns with good results
You did it again my air gun friend, I've ordered another one of your reviewed guns! Thanks for the great videos and keep them coming
So now we have the Gauntlet 2 when will we see the Avenger 2 with a bottle and updated fixes ?
I appreciate your presentation, thoroughness, and humor. Thank you for the deep dive!
I really expected this review!
As always IMPECCABLE work. Keep it up don't change a thing!
Thank you very much!
Greetings from Argentina
Greetings!!
Best, Steve
Sir please tell me which airgun is better Diana outlaw or air venturi avenger plz help me out ,waiting for your kind reply
I got this gun in .25 I love the light weight. power shot count and accuracy
So no testing of the accuracy yet but I anticipate the same results as the other two calibers
SO, the take away is that, as Steve and Ted state repeatedly, $300 rifle.
Best, Steve
Fantastic review Steve, also covering the Flaws and issues of the rifle that you found. Forever Honest with the consumer
You convinced me,just ordered one from Pyramyd Air.
Finally, a good quality budget friendly gun.
Best, Steve
@@AEAC Thanks Steve. I am new to PCPs and your channels. I missed the culling process.
@@nostalgia9463 Welcome 😊 Basically, I just take the 25 yard performers shared in the Vlog out to film with me at 50 & 100. Whatever works best at those distances winds up in the full review 👍
Beautiful photography towards the end. Thanks :)
Interesting tidbit; my avenger really likes the crosman premier hollow point which yours did not.
Different pellets or different barrel...
always, often different ranges too... lots of times pellets work great at 25 yards then the accuracy falls apart at 50
Been thinking about buying a intro pcp. Was going to pick up the umarex gauntlet. But I think im going to get the air venturi. Seem like this is a better deal then the gauntlet. Thanks for the review made it clear for me on what to buy.
So it must be a good iguana hunting gun. Lol I might pick one up to see if I can take a few little piggies here in Texas. Good to see you back brotha!
Just got my Avenger. Afraid to push the plunger forward to seat a round/pellet. Please advise
What was the surpresser ill pre-order one for mine
What a gun for 300 dollars, definitely going to change the game.
And even the safety is in the right place. And that type of safety is really quiet or totally. A safety in the trigger guard isn't right.
So glad they came out with this. Raises the bar for manufacturers to make nice entry level rifles. I haven't put mine down since i got it a month and a half ago. Shoot it everyday. I'm entering the AOA covid EBR with it lol
Steve I think the rifle is excellent, a comparison of others and what is more expensive.
the grouping with the ojibas fx spectacular.
Good job on the review ,, glad someone come out with one that people like me can afford..Looks like its a pretty darn good gun for what i do down here in Oklahoma.. thanks for the review ..
Can you use a regular electric air tank.? Thanks for the video.
Steve, as far as moderators go for the avenger, which one from DonnyFL do you think would work best?? Do you think the Sumo would work with the cone adapter, or would I be better off with the Tanto with the cone adapter?? I don't want to have to remove it for every air refill!!
Hello, lots if info about this on my Instagram Page but you'd want 1.25"x5" max with a lot of plus sizing 👍
How far in front of the barrel is your chronograph for the 50yd tests?
Steve! Help me out! Would you recommend this or the gamo gx 40 for my first pcp? Will mainly be using for rabbits/pests ect here in NZ I love your videos. Very thorough with info and knowledge.
I've no experience with the Gamo but I'd recommend the Avenger to anyone. Steve
Is there a sintered bronze filter in the male foster fitting on the gun? Nice touch.
Hi Darren, I answered that for u personally on Friday's Instagram Live Video with Pyramydair 👍
A cuanto tiene el regulador. Yo uso valines crosman de 14.3 grey. Aquí en Nicaragua. Vienen muy caros
I can't wait to save money for this puppy.
I just want to tune it.
Also I'm so glad .22 is getting some love.
awesome review.
I have the origin should I get the avenger in 22 for more power what do you think I need more convincing.
Hello. In my experience, the Avenger doesn't come close to being what a Dremline is but I respect your feelings on it. Steve
Thank you once again!! So happy I ran across your vids and channels.
✌️Brother
Please do a video of the Seneca Aspen .22 tune and slug or JSB 15.89 video at 25, 50, and 100 yards.
Thanks
Thank you . I needed this video . You help me make up my mine . Its was this gun or the flash . I getting this one
I had a flashpup, nothing but issues. Sent it back.
@@CobosDoesItAll Thanks for the heads-up, I was also looking at getting the flashpup, but I think I'll go for this one
I JUST bought a Hatsan AT-44 QE .177 yesterday, and JUST got the email from Pyramyd Air today that this is in stock. Damn, what do I do ? I know, buy both. Geez, this looks like a run at the Gauntlet, for sure. MAYBE better ?
What a fantastic rifle for a steal price!!!
Thanks Steve. Excellent review. At this price I have to buy one. 💣💣💯💯
Steve, What is your opinion on how this gun is going to change what other manufacturers will produce and charge in the future???
Hola amigo excelente video. T hablo desde Colombia a como tiene el regulador. Y la tensión de martillo?
Great review! Great gun! Do you have footage of pellets at 100 yards too instead of slugs?
No but the performers at 50 would work at 100 too 👍
@@AEAC Thanks for replying Steve. Love your channels. Very informative.
So what pellets do you recommend for short range and which do you recommend for long range? (both for small game hunting)
If you watch the Vlog, I share all the 25 yard performers. This vid here relayed the ones better at 50 & beyond 👍
@@AEAC okie dokie thank you👍 you have helped me decide which airgun I want to get!!! I have watched a lot of your videos before my decision and this airgun was the one!!!
I'm looking for a sound suppressor for a rifle Beeman Comander the thread size is 12mm. Where can I buy it?
Great video! Very informative info and I find very valuable. Thanks for the hard work you put in on all your vids!
Accutac. It came from Utah Airguns.
Thank you, sir!!!
I'm on the fence between the gauntlet and the adventure what do you think would be the best choice?
I've done thorough reviews on both and in the same format, making comparison easy 👍
Get a full review of the hatsan striker 1000 please
@@AEAC Thank you for the reply!
New airgunner, your video got in front of me. Love the lab radar, love the data, prolly gonna have to pick on of these up. My wallet ?thanks? you? Yea it probably doesn't but hopefully this will keep the 'have to have the best' gremlins at bay.
How long can this rifle sit before any noticeable bleed out of air? I just ordered one.
Thanks - john
If you are speaking of the air reservoir, it shouldn't leak for a long time. I've got PCP's that are 10 years old now that don't leak. Best, Steve
I'm wondering how it will perform on a super eco tune somewhere between 12 and 18 foot pounds for Pest Control in sensitive areas
That's what I'm going for. Probably get over 150 shots too.
I think that as long as there's enough good hammer spring to stabilize at that that soft spring pressure, the reg will handle the low PSI no problem.
@@AEAC what would be a good reg setting for shooting the 25.39 monster redesign at 600fps for good energy dump in my backyard?
@@CobosDoesItAll you'll have to do the work but my tuning guide will get u there 👍

@@AEAC thank you for your response and intel.
Can I use ballistol to lube my O-rings for the boat probe or would you recommend your favorite oil that you described in your video
Ballistol is great 👍. Use a very small amount. Steve

How much do you think this gun would benefit from a good crown job on the barrel. Mind you I have the DonyFL 1/2 20 barrel adapter installed and the Tanto moderator. Thanks.
Steve, have you ever done a review of the Hatsan AT44 qe in 25 caliber, or had any experience with it??
Hello, Katya and I will answer your question on the next episode of "ask AEAC" over on my other UA-cam channel, "AEAC Vlog." Best, Steve
I just bought the Air Venturi Bull Pup will you do a review on it or an updated 1 to this for this model?
Best, Steve
Wow the 27gr H&n hold that fpe the rest was about the same as pellet maybe it’s more snug and air not passing around it.. like to see a crowned barrel for and see what the difference would be
Nice video like the fact you can adjust it and side lever
