Note after adding the hoses and sand to the pump DONT turn on the pump yet FIRST you got to backwash until the water runs clear turn off the pump and then switch it to rinse and turn it on and run it till it turns clear turn it off again and then switch it to filter mode and then turn it back on. Backwash is necessary when applying new sand or when pump pressure is at 15 and you should be fine :) hope this helped anyone
I am running my filter for the first time today. What you are saying is change the setting to backwash until the water is clear then rinse it and then filter? Just want to confirm I'm doing this all correctly.
Great video! I assembled the pump using only this video and have zero leaks. Thank you for being very thorough and explain every step in detail! Take care and God bless
I installed this 50d to our Coleman 18X48 pool yesterday. Thanks for this step by step video. I have no leaks from the hoses or ports so far. Maybe some seepage at the drain plug at the bottom of the tank, but not enough to be concerned. I had a heavy leak at the see thru cap at the leaf trap, but kept cranking until it was tight enough. It stopped leaking at that point. I did purchase a back wash hose when I bought the pump. I am so glad I did! I backwashed and rinsed before filtering. That would be the only instruction missing in this video. The pressure gauge was reading 5psi when I first started filtering. I ran the pump all day, and the pressure reached almost 10 psi by the end of the day. The water was some murky when I installed the pump, but the water cleared significantly after a few hours of running the filter. I’m planning to run the pump all day today, and back wash again this evening. My skimmer basket is working better with the addition of this pump. The pump is super quiet, and moves the water well. Thank you.
Good Video, Very Informative. The only thing I see in the Video that I don't like about the pump is the Power Cord is really short. You would think the designers would have given a longer and better power cord. Other than that everything looks great. Thanks for the video.
How did you set this up using the hoses I just brought a 18x48 pool I have a intex saltwater system but don’t know how to add it to my Hayward Pro Series Sand Filter System, 18 in Filter with 1.5 HP Matrix Pump
I have this same pump. Are the valves automatically open? I read on another pump you must open valves by pressing lever and turning clockwise till it stops. Is this one the same?
having issue with sediment in pool even after back washing for 10mins. stil have very fine silt entering pool and collecting on bottom after several hours of runnung.
Weve been having trouble with the drain part on big base. About 2:10 that piece. It keeps losing water. Weve taken it all apart. At 1st was to loose & I had washer in cap. Then we put cap on to tight & loosened the whole thing. Weve watched the video about 20 times & doing the washers & everything right. Maybe just need to put cap on loose? Cant have it slowly drip out all summer it's on a pallet on grass would have mud. Any ideas or help?
Thank you su much inwas so extres about,I buy the same pump and it took me like 3 hours to put it together and then I was liking lol.and I see your video man so easy..🙏🙌💫
Where do you set your switch or turn handles when vacuuming and do you leave the outflow open or close when vacuuming. No videos on you tube for this pump on how to vacuum your pool and what to do on your pump..any help would be appreciated
Just got this unit today and only complaint i have so far is no On/Off switch. I did see in the manual it says to backwash then rinse beforehand. In this video you went straight to filter and running the pump. I'm curious as to why? This is a great video for setup don't get me wrong I just want to make sure I get the longest life possible from it. Thank you.
Help, i just purchased this and when i put the 4-way value in it does not sit flush on top. Some of it does on one side but the other shows the o ring.
I wanted to know I got a Coleman pool I wanna install a sand filter and I bought but the fittings are different I have that same pool on ur video what can I do
Thank you for the concise walkthrough. Cheers Given that a new bag of sand was just added, will I get a big blast of murky water into the pool if I first set the selector to Filtration and turned the water pump on as suggested? I feel like I would need a Rinse of the sand first.?. FWIW, I was actually anticipating to see that process in this video. I went back to make sure that I didn't miss it.
GAME Manufacturer recommends that you clean and prepare the new sand that is in the sand chamber first (prior to filtration). Cleaning the sand prior to filtering your pool will remove most of the dust and tiny sand particles that may exist in the sand. If you move straight to filtering, these particles may end up in your pool. sls@game-group.com
@@sandrastevens2598 im sure i can figure out how to clean sand..but is there a way that technicians clean filter sand that someone like me may not know about
Is this pump water proof? I don’t see any body talking about that but obviously is going to be getting splash on it since is sitting right next to the pool and is always outdoor.
hi soo im a bit confused with my pool. Its actually the exact same pool as yours. so my question is, should my pump have a suction or blow out bubbles through the left side of the pump. side A. should side A be bubbly or no bubble but strong suction??😩🤷♀️ please help..
I forgot to clean my sand first in my Game 50D and it spit sand or dirty water into my pool for a second and then ran clean. How long will it take to clean that mess out of my 4000 gallon pool? Recommendations on cleaning it up? Other than that its running great and I followed all instructions and have no leaks. Thanks in advance.

I bought this pump and filter… and i never was able to use. On day one I setup and ran the cycles (backwash etc) and the next day the pump tripped my GFI breaker. I have been back and forth with their customer product team via email. They don’t want to replace my pump because if it trips my GFI it’s my GFI. I have tried ALL in my house and even in my friends house. What more do they need. They have no interest in standing behind their product. If you call, all warranty is through email. I am disappointed to say the least.

Any idea why I can’t get the clamp on? It doesn’t fit w the O ring, it’s like there’s a gap. It’s also a new sand filter
What size is that threaded connector?

The manual also says to do this too! Speaking from experience, there is dirt to sweep up if you don't.
Thank you
What is the hp of the pump
Where do I buy the conector for threaded pipes ?
I used my original from the SandPro box mixed with 1 or 2 from original pool.
What should my pressure gauge read... I’m running about 5 pounds on gauge ??

Oscar C put in backwash mode and then rinse until water runs clear and then put it in filter mode
Good idea to back wash the new sand before filter. What is the price of these?
I just bought one from Dohenys in Wisconsin, had it shipped for free to California, for $179, just installed it today

you need to back wash before filtering
Why is my pressure not even going to 1
If it has a o ring you don't need the tape.
That’s what I thought. Brass into plastic should be fine too shouldn’t it

Oh and no teflon with an oring
Hold on - so you took generic pump shipped from china and rename it to your own company name ? Hahaha
