Watts, for me is the MVP! Just by committing to the 2024 season, he gave the Irish the leadership to weather a bad loss to NIU and 4 injuries to 4 starters on the defense
These ND OL prospects don't seem to be dissuaded by the number of young OL players ND already has on the team and by the number of new OL signees coming in 2025. Yes, there are five positions on the OL (excluding TEs); but the competition for available positions is going to strong. Maybe it's because it usually takes a couple of years for most incoming players to build strength and put on weight before they are ready to start. ND's well-earned reputation for developing high level OL players continues to pay dividends. The OL may well be the strength of the team over the next few years at least.
Would love to see ND land Nichols. They've done so well with OT lately, it would be awesome to see Nichols paired with Garvin on the interior. One area where I don't think ND will have any recruiting issues moving forward is OL. Looking forward to this announcement. Nichols is huge, and looks to be quite athletic for a HS underclassman who is already listed at 315. Go Irish. MVP for the season? Tough call. So many big time contributors. I like Bernie's comment about Watts. Him coming back after winning the award as the best defensive player in the country was a huge boost for the team overall. And he's had another great season. On D, Watts is definitely my guy. Overall though? Tougher call. J Love is hard to overlook. He's the "best player" on the team as far as I'm concerned, but in terms of MVP? Not so sure. For a couple of reasons, not the least of which is that without Love I think ND would be fine with Price. Price is not quite at Love's level, but he's a terrific back. I'd roll with Price any day. Tough to dismiss Leonard, simply because the O always goes through the QB ... and ND's O has really exceled as the season has gone on. Forced to pick just one guy, .. I'll go with Watts. He's exceptional as a player, he's a great leader, and he brings it all the time. Some honorable mention should go to Leonard Moore. Losing Morrison could have been crippling for the D. Moore, as a true freshman, really stepped up and filled that void. In some ways, he saved the season.
Yeah that's why they're in the playoffs. That's why they won their last 10 games straight. Got the best defense. Got the best offensive line. But we don't know what your team is We don't even care really. Cuz we would beat them too. So why don't you go watch the Tony the tiger bowl we're your teams probably playing😂

Their o-line is going to be insane next season.
It's got to be J Love. He's special.
Can we go out and BUY a wide receiver in the portal please?
Gilbert will step up next year and hope Williams is as good as advertised
Leonard
J love no doubt!
#4 LOVE
J Love, by a mile
