After owning two smaller Chinese excavators I realized the value of having one on the property. I was in need of something just a little bit larger so I decided to purchase the Bobcat e35 r2 series. What a difference the Bobat is vs the other. Very smooth, fit and finish is perfect, and I have a dealer with full time mechanic if needed only 30 minutes away. I will have all kinds of content using this machine around the property. The reach, or lack of, is the biggest issue I have with my (not blue) 1.5T unit. Reach also translates to dumping height and I need to go over a electric fence line to get downed trees to the fire pit but it just barely does it. Mine is also has single speed drive motors. Had I waited 2 years I could have gotten an upgraded unit with more reach and 2 speed drive and 4 HP more, still without needing DEF. The price of this new Bobcat is more than I have spent on all the vehicles, and repairs to them, combined in the last 45 years.

Your video comparison saved me from making a bad choice. I am a week away from making a what it seems like a terrible decision and trying to re-sell an expensive off “brand” where I live -Ohio- would probably never happen.

Good video Kyle! I have many hours on an E35 and is a fantastic machine.
Running any piece of equipment can be mastered by experienced. I have a fantastic job and could afford an expensive machine (MACHINE!) but choose to buy less expensive stuff. Reliability is a huge factor when it comes to purchasing. Over the years I’ve learned that no matter how much you spend there is always a lemon. So I choose the cheaper option and if need be I can toss it if it’s a catastrophe. That option is not for everyone either. Some people buy the reliability because they don’t have time to deal with breakdowns. Every decision is made based on individual needs. I got sick of using a shovel and purchased a black RH14😉 and I’m really enjoying it! Definitely might be upgrading soon though….

Absolutely love my E35! The only thing I can think of to watch out for is reaching down deep with the blade up. Typically you would have the blade down when digging but one scenario where it got me was climbing on top of a mound of dirt to load a dump trailer. Climbing up the soft dirt and reaching across the pile to help pull the MACHINE up, the main boom cylinder guard hit the blade and sheared the bolt that holds the guard on off. Not Bobcats fault, I’m sure that all excavators with a blade could have this issue.

I have a JD 26G open cab. I've been getting rather annoyed with it starting to bounce and having to completely release the controls until it settles. It's worse at a higher throttle setting, but it's always there to some degree. I think the lighter the machine (machine!), the more prone it is to doing that. The 26G (5700lbs) is moderately capable, but I'm finding I need a heavier machine (machine!) for more and more things now. I also want a cab. I recently replaced my Kubota L4701HST with a TYM 574CH because I wanted more lift capacity and a cab. I guess the excavator upgrade is going to have to wait another week or two :). Also, check out progressive link thumb options for the Bobcat. That's the ultimate in thumb usability, as you typically get over 180 degrees of thumb rotation, vs the 120 or so for a good non-progressive link thumb.

Kymron has a place and a value. But the Bobcat is on a whole other level. And like I noted to TKCL, Bobcats are going to have resale value. If or when you ever want to sell the machine, you will be able to get a lot back out of it. You and he are likely to keep these machines at low, low hours forever, and never beat the bushings out of them. Won't call it a sure thing but it is a reaonably safe bet. And you get the Bobcat dealer support, all the engineers at Doosan backing them up. This is big-league stuff. And I say that even as a Yanmar/Takeuchi fan because it is just true.

@SpicerDesignsLLC the bad part about any Chinese machines. You need to know how to repair things your self and mods. If you have a business then makes more sense to buy name brand with taxes and stuff.
As for resale on the kemron I think the warranty. Will it transfer to the new buy or not. If it stays on the machine then there's not a gamble on new buyer on what's left. But when you buy used machines you don't get a warranty anyway. I don't play with bigger machine. I'm in one ton ones. Sorry did comment before watching the full video.

    YOUR QUESTION
    IS
    As I will be stating

That really is the EQUATION here. ( A+B=C ) KNOWN as What then - EXACTLY.
