Kevin Nash had some choice comments for Will Ospreay after he took a shot at the Chief Content Officer for WWE, Triple H recently. Join former WWE head writer Vince Russo, current NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion EC3, and Dr. Chris Featherstone as the three men examine the former WCW star's comments. How can you forget the great Chris Farley when talking about 90s SNL??
EC3 $60 for a decent mic that works, homie.
Of course Tony Khan encourages his roster to take cheap shots at WWE because in his mind he thinks he's in a 'war' with the evil empire. Some examples like Max Caster taking shots weekly during his entrances. Eddie Kingston said go down the road if you want to do that sports entertainment crap because we're wrestlers around here. Saraya took shots. Sasha Mone said Khan is the best boss she ever worked with, we all know who that was directed towards. Copeland did the rah rah leave us alone we're having so much fun speech. MJF with weekly and constant WWE references. Ospreay with one of the weakest cheap shots at Triple H and he's been called out for it by a lot of industry vets. It all comes from Tony Khan, there's been so many weak attempts at cheap shots in 5 years it's always reeked of desperation.
Yeah, WWE have never taken cheap shots at another rival promotion ever, right?

TK actually thought he could do this week to week… the audacity and arrogance to think he could go up against an established worldwide promotion with his 0 days of working in the wrestling business….
The difference between aew and WWE is the marks. Teddy Long in the Chris Van vleet explained about Cody doing business with the rock. He didn't care it just was raining he did it because it was business.
And it looked like a Hollywood fight scene. Classic stuff.
More people still paid to watch and see Kevin Nash in 1994 as the lowest drawing WWE champion of all time than they do to watch and see Will Osprey wrassle.

I love Kevin Nash. Unironically he’s my favorite wrestler. He’s never had a single entrance that’s memorable. His version of taking a knee and hitting the ground was flipping his hair. He only existed in wrestling cause he was tall and he had Scott Hall. I legitimately don’t understand the hate he has for Cody. It makes zero fucking sense. Dude looks like a star, acts like a star, is presented as a star, takes being a baby face seriously, is a multi generational wrestler, and Kevin can’t cut him any slack for some reason. It’s fucking bizarre
Thing is you gotta watch what Nash says a lot of times he's just working the fans. He did it with LA knight as an example.
Cody doesn't look like a star to me. I don't understand the nightmare gimmick, or why he's (and Seth) killed hhh's finisher. And I'm not fond of the legacy/nepotism wrestlers. I put more interest and praise into the first generation wrestlers.
Nash has had a few memorable entrances by the way.

AEW had and still has many veterans that have been there and done that but the EVP's and Tony Khan refuse to listen to their advice. Adam Page openly admits they don't listen to veteran advice because they know what they're doing. They had Tully Blanchard, Arn Anderson, Sting, William Regal, Chavo Guerrero, Konnan, Eric Bischoff even Bret Hart offered to help.. They still have Jim Ross, Ric Flair, Taz, Jeff Jarrett, Billy Gunn, Mark Henry, Dustin Rhodes, Jerry Lynn, Dean Malenko, Jake Roberts, Paul Wight. All of them say nothing, all of them are enablers because they're paid well so they shut up and let Tony Khan do what he wants.

The unfortunate thing about Tony Khan is that vince had 40 years of training to run the wwe,and he is being comapred to a once in a liftime individual. You can basically substitute Vince with Triple H and say the same thing, around 30 years of training, 20 of which was directly from Vince.
Tony never had any training or guidance, he's just a fan with a lot of money and a dream.
I would have figured dealing with "superstar personalities" on an NFL team would have him ready to go but in that locker room, the stupidest stuff escalates and festers.

If Will Osprey was with WWE and cut thst promo on Tony Khan would the opinion be the same. In a hypothetical scenario. Lets not forget WWE wanted to sign him so he isnt that unknown. I get that nobody follows NJPW now. Someone needs to give Tony Khan a time out and get all the talent together and figure out what direction to go. Stop trying to be like or think you can beat out WWE your not do what got you to the dance ftom 2019 to 2022 ish.

I hate to say it but I think it is because if they get a new TV deal he will take the credit and you think he's unbearable now, shoot. And I don't want aew to go away(outside the elite). Tony can stay if he shuts up and puts people in charge that have real booking/wrestling knowledge but with what I mentioned above I just don't see that happening
@@SuperHamric It's not like they don't have industry insiders. Jerry Lynn and Arn have spent years in the business and Tony should pick their brains. And when you lose all this talent with injury and going to WWE (especially Punk) and ratings go down the smack talk has to stop. As for the Bucks, if you're going to complain about the EVP grind (even kayfabe), leave the position.

TK gave osprey the sun & the moon. People don't understand. A lot of guys want to wrestle osprey that are in wwe. I expect aj styles to jump.ship. im not defending aew. But TK treated osprey as a huge deal. HHH didn't. Truthfully HHH dropped the ball. Osprey already earned his way internationally. And was given the title of the best wrestler on the planet.
Just think.his momentum. Osprey debuts and feuds with logan paul right off da bat. His rematch with ricochet. The endless possibilities. HHH seemed to not have felt how TK felt. Did osprey make the wrong decision though? Idk what tony is paying him but tony gave into his demands. hhh wouldn't.

The old generation worked hard to get far..The new ones expects shit for doing nothing..Its the truth tho without the money and schedule Aew wouldnt have who they have.

@@josephbarkley3301 No they didn't. Lesnar bailed in two years because of the grind despite being pushed to the moon. Reigns isn't in his mid to late 40s.
When HHH was Reigns' age he wrestled hard every night, multiple times a night and regularly defended his title. When he was the top guy, he worked like a top guy all of the time in his prime years.
He didn't get a part time schedule until his last decade of wrestling. 20+ years of constant grinding. Same with Undertaker. Lesnar and Roman Haven't done that.
Will Ospreay talked about this in his last interview, he stated that he spoke to Hunter and Khan before signing to AEW. He told both of them why he can't do the grind in the WWE related to family issue and suicide (current wife former partner), and he is trying to help them grieve. Somehow ppl either forget that interview or just don't know or spinning the narrative. Just look it up and yes it was distasteful because he shouldn't stood to Hunter's cheapshot if he was talking about him, but I get why he strike back at especially if you reveal something personal to potential employer(s) and that was used against me.
Bobby Heenan described Vince Russo as a 3 card monte (meaning a swindler and a con artist) He also called him a Disgrace... The Brain was honest, straight up !!!

Vince Russo was involved in the death of two separate mainstream American wrestling products, and EC3 has floundered terribly everywhere outside of TNA, including his own failed MAGA wrestling show.
AEW is maintaining steady ratings at a difficult period for linear television, and that's only a good thing for any product not called WWE - something neither of these two were involved with.
The state of half of these comments, too, WWE aren't going to pick you out of the comments section and give you a job, like.
