"I Don't Care Much" From Kander & Ebb's "Cabaret"

- The original Broadway production of "Cabaret" had a number that was cut during out-of-town tryouts. The melody can still be heard in the stage musical during the entr'acte played by the three-piece band that is wheeled onstage during intermission, but only without vocals. It can also be heard playing in the background during the movie version. The only recording of it that Latrina is aware of is in an early Liza Minelli album. It's a really nice obscure song, here sung by Marin Mazzie during a PBS tribute to John Kander and Fred Ebb.

It was recorded on Barbra Streisand's "Second Album" in the 60s. Also, it has been featured in more recent revivals ... there are versions of it on UA-cam by Raul Esparza, Neil Patrick Harris and several other actors who played the Emcee.

i totally adore this song and have been looking for a good rendition of it - thanks for posting. I don't like Streisand's version. It has to have the right cadence and rhythm behind it as the 3 piece band does here, reminiscent of 1930s.
Me ha gustado pero es muy plana. Creo que requiere de altos y bajos para sacar la emoción. La siento muy monótona. La de Bárbra Streisand es muy personal pero es más pasional, lo que le falta a ésta
