@@zeetrain9625 No I wouldn't think so. These are utility lights made for working on cars and so forth. It can take the heat of being in your engine bay, it can take the heat from your pasta cooking.

It seems to be a much better, useful design than others...quality of material & labor? Time will tell.
Not too much to go wrong with these. Just a simple cob after all, and the batteries are easy to change out so should be good.

Magnets are not really critical. I hardly ever use them. Most of the time I am leaning the light against something or standing it up at an angle.
