@@blackpanther744 from my experience, the toll it takes on your body just breaks it down more and more both physically and mentally. I know the first time I left the hospital, the nurse that wheeled me out actually said “well, welcome to your new normal.” Now a couple years later, I finally understand what she meant. 🌻
@@HealingthruAIArt you are lucky that you overcome from this deadly disease but my mom was not that lucky I lost my mother from sepsis six months ago I miss her too much
Can someone be prone to getting sepsis? I’ve had a liver transplant & must take anti rejection meds. I get UTI’s over & over & over again, however, I have none of the typical symptoms of a UTI…until I kind of blank out & someone notices. By the time I get to the hospital, I usually have a high temp, have no knowledge of what is happening to me & am unable to answer any questions from the medical staff. This terrifies me because I know people who have died from sepsis. I am 69 years old & live alone…what can I do??
Hi Jenny - thanks for asking! Please email your request to info@sepsis.org and one of our team members will follow up with you to share details on the specifics of permissions for sharing our content!
Ok I have had a temp of 96, and I’ve been really sick lately and my temp is still 96, this is coming off of a 102 temp a couple days ago, I’ve heard 96 is really low and should be looked at if you are still sick because it could be hypothermia or sepsis is this true? Should I go get checked?
Thank you for this! I’ve had sepsis twice now and it has definitely changed my life forever.
Same here! Twice!
I don't understand why sepsis returns after being discharged or recovered from this deadly disease

Have somebody to check up on you on a regular basis!
I would like to embed this video in a hospital nursing education module for sepsis. Do I need any special permissions to do that?

It can’t hurt
I still don’t know what sepsis is
Basic version: your body’s reaction the fighting off an infection that has gotten way out of control.
When your blood becomes infected and that infection starts going directly into all of your major organs. A blood infection.
It's systemic inflammation! Basically your immune system starts attacking all your vital organs that it mistakes as pathogens!
Hospital put Dad on antibiotics
Wow where was sepsis all these years ago when people piercing with thorns and getting bamboo tattoos.
Their causes of death were just called something else
