My mom stopped raising me and my brother for a while, slipping in and out of our lives, but i met amazing people along the way. It was a mix of heaven and hell, the “hands” of sorrow and grief pushing me farther down into my doubts. But there was always those moments that put even the smallest smiles on my face or that special glint in my eye. 10 years later i can say that yeah, it still hurts, but my heaven is waiting close by.
