I sincerely think this is the definitive version of this song. I'm not gonna say it's better than the original, but I sure as hell like it more. So many tiny touches, like that little chord variation in the chorus and the way she puts so much passion in to the part after the second chorus. Just fucking amazing

This song, in general, is beautiful. But you, you represent it, and express it in such a more meaningful way. i remember listening to this cover over and over in my bed at night, feeling like someone was narrating my life. i felt emotions i hadn’t had before. this video means so much to me. it got me through a very rough time.
my dad used to listen to this song all the time when i was younger, he sung it and i just grew up with it stuck in my head. he was an abusive, and neglectful father. he drank, smoke, and hurt me and my siblings mentally and physically. this song always makes me cry and spas out but i love it. it brings back painful yet happy memories. my dad left me and my family since he was too embarrassed to raise us the way he is, its been 7 years.. im only 14. ive tried emailing and writing letters to him and i always get no response. the last memory i have of him is singing this song to me.. im sorry for the rant i just love yet hate this song so much.
