I enjoyed my time on it. Very smooth and very quick!
Glad you liked it man!
I have the same feeling while riding my z900 RS 2023!!!! I feel alive
It sure looks like the perfect bike to me. I personally love the styling cues. Great job as always Brett.
Thanks Eric!!!
An old tried and true rider triangle coupled with a modern engine, suspension, frame and brakes along with retro styling is a tough combination not to love! First ride and every ride after, the relationship just gets better. A machine so easy to become one with. It's a beautiful thing! I get the wind blast and you have mitigated most of it. Great Review! Best of Luck with it!
That wind blast is just obscure. I’m sure I could have just gotten used to it lol
I have not yet met an owner of the Z900 who was dissappointed with it. Great review mate.
I kind of want a regular z900 now to compliment it
Being tall, I always seem to be right in the turbulence of every bike. The yellow and black are pretty cool. I would have figured the bike would be more cramped. Thanks for the review. Looks like fun.
Yea it’s really weird how good it feels to sit on it.
Great review Brett, the Z900RS looks like a fun bike to ride. Light, nimble and quick, those categories hit high marks on the fun factor. 👍
Yep it’s really something else for sure.
I thought you had fingerless gloves for a second, I was about to attack. You realize a Bolt endorsement doesn't hold water right? After a few thousand on that oldwing he would've been happy on a grom with a blown engine lol. Good breakdown man!
Bahahahah well hell… guess you better come take it for a spin then
That power coming out of the corners is addictive isn't it!! 😁.
I think all bikes will have a quirk or 2, but if you're 90% happy...well that's hard to beat!!
Good video man!!
Dude the power on and slight slide as you see the exit is intoxicating
I had a chance to test ride the cafe version and it was a blast. It has all the performance of the naked bikes but with the classic styling that I love. Like you said though, there's not a lot of wind protection which was really noticeable even after 10 minutes.
Yea the cafe actually adds significant amount but compared to what you or I are used to it’s pretty light.
For the cafe version, Yoshimura makes a windscreen that is only available in Japan. You can order it through Webike. It's a touch expensive but clears up any and all turbulence from the stock version, best upgrade I've made other than akro header and ecu flash. But, I've got to say the michelin road 5 tires transformed the high speed handling and cornering of the bike. Then if you really want to improve the bike to its ultimate capability go to a custom rear rear shock like K-tech Razor R remote reservoir compression damping adjustable with rear ride height adjustment and be amazed at the stability improvement straight line over 110mph to top speed. It puts the correct balance front to rear back into the suspension if you get the correct weight spring for your rider weight, The front suspension is really pretty good but is helped by very slightly heavier weight oil in the forks. I've got almost 9000 miles on my 2019 and got to say its my favorite bike of the four in my garage right now. It always puts a smile on my face when out riding.
Glad that you are happy with your Kawasaki. Four years later and I'm still happy with my Vulcan S
The Vulcan S is so comfortable I can see why!!!!
@@ChopperFett She is my forever Bike
She's a beauty 👌
Thank you!!
Hey Brett, good review on a great day for riding. have fun, cheers Dave
Thanks Dave. Hope you and the fam are well
good stuff Chopper !!! shes a good one to have in the stable ;-) . enjoy the weekend
I love love love it man!!!
it just has to get nice again so we can chase . i know your 5 hr south so hope your better then we are im getting snow hahaha. enjoy it brother
I absolutely dig the classic styling of that bike. Good video Brett!
Thanks man! Hope you are doing well dude
Well crafted thumbnail , quite eye catching .
Thank you much!!!!
Seems like a good bike. I like the looks of it. There's always going to some little comfort stuff that gets changed out depending on the rider. Nice review.
Thanks man. Nothing can be perfect
I really dig the styling of these bikes, yet to ride one I might have after this review
Only do it if you’re ready to drop 8k or so for one hahaha
This is a wonderful bike from the day that it came out. No matter which color, it is very nice looking. The only negative may be the price that is a bit high. Otherwise a masterpiece. You got my like.
p.s. Waiting for your video about that Corbin seat.
Yea the price can be steep but I picked mine up with 300 miles for 8k which was just about perfect for me.
@@ChopperFett That was hard to beat. :)
I've owned a bunch in 40+years, but Harleys have been the mainstay. Nowadays, I'm so sick of the Harley thing that I'll never go back.
I'm planning on either the Triumph Speed Twin 1200, or this exact one. I'm leaning towards the Kawa.
One thing I think about the cowl - it's meant for bar hopping, canyon carving, or flat out putting your head down to get under the main windstream.
All these bikes with smaller gas tanks are phenomenal for light cruising away from the city and off course in the city for commuting, bar hopping etc. The problem is that if you live in AZ for example like myself they’re very limited at least in my opinion. Yeah yeah I might be spoiled owning a bmw GS HP and a Road King special but oh well. Nice video buddy
Haha thanks and I can totally see that!
Getting 150+ miles out of a full tank of 98 is easy.
Good job Mate! I enjoyed your review. 👌👍
What a problem to have sharing the miles between bikes...lol Great work Brett
I know right first world problems lol
Hmmmmmmmm…have me thinking my friend. Nice video
Everyone needs a third bike!!! Lol
Great video going to test drive her soon
love this bike! surer fun !
Beyond fun man. I need to detail her now the season is winding down. My fat belly but some light scratches on the tank (very easily buffable, I noticed it after a month of riding lol)
Doesn't have to be perfect, some quirks or things you want changed can be good things to have to look forward to fixing or changing!
Thanks man
I have over 58k miles on my 'early edition' 2018.
Centerstand, heated grips, hepxo beckerbags!
Great review
Thanks Larry!
Amazing bikes. But they do bring out the devil in you 👹😂
He’s a sly devil that one!
Dam nice bike yours if I had room man I would get one. Sir Bolt loved riding it as he told me all about it when he got back home... cool info on it after the miles....I should do one on the 14 after 75,000 k's ? hummmm
I think super long term reviews are useful actually!
Great video on one of my favorite bikes too! It offers me great looks and performance from that smooth 4 cylinder, great torque and engine braking. Also, great comfort from ergonomics. However, unlike you, I am only 5’6” and have been looking for the short seat option. Would be willing to gift, donate or sell to me, assuming it’s no use to you? Thanks for your consideration. Scott
