QOTN, thanks for providing this little-seen performance. This is the movie theme from the 1968 movie about Romeo and Juliet, starring a very young Olivia Hussey as Juliet. Jackie's power and artistry at this age (10/11) was astonishing, but she has grown up to become a thoroughly spellbinding 19-year old performer. If you haven't already, try her rendition of "Once Upon a December" from Anastasia, truly haunting and mesmerizing.
I wish there was cleaner audio for this performance, as it's a good time-capsule example of Jackie's tremolo period. Before she started using natural vibrato, she had absolutely perfected the technique into a beautiful, bird-like warble. It's also a classic example her knack for soaring climaxes; good later examples of this are "Ave Maria" at Longwood Gardens, and "She Used to Be Mine" (Official recording).
One of her best songs. Unfortunately this particular recording suffered from the cell-phone quality from a distance and often in her early years, the pace of the music was often too fast. As a child she didn't have the force of age and experience to tell the conductor to slow down, as she did, later in life.

I love Jackie Evancho. I've followed her from the beginning on AGT, when she was 10 and should have been the winner. We were all just amazed at what this little girl could do. She is a grown woman now; stunningly beautiful inside and out. And still a fantastic singer. She has had her struggles, but haven't we all. And I believe she has grown stronger for experiencing them. I'm giving you the link to a song that she recorded when she was 19, and I believe has included on her recent album. Hi Queen, have you seen Jackie's performance at David and Yara Shoemaker wedding reception? As special request of the bride's, Jackie learned "Only Time" as one of the six songs she performed for David and Yara Shoemaker at their lavish wedding reception at the Ca’ d'Zan (John Ringling mansion) in Sarasota, Florida, on April 27, 2012. The groom hired Jackie performed six songs, and hired THE Venice Symphony Orchestra to accompany Jackie. As a fan of great performances, I highly recomment this video for your viewing pleasure. I am sure you will love every minute of the 25 minute video.
