Hello Vyncent, this is the first time I stumble across your channel, while I don't care for the life of me about mobile games or any gacha game. I just wanted to let you know that you have a lot of qualifications to be a very decent and successful youtuber. do not be discouraged by the low subcount and keep making content. I liked what I watched even though I'm not even interested in that topic in the slightest (aside from my raging love for Monster Hunter franchise)
Thank you so much for the support! I try to make my content valuable and interesting. While, I'm still in the process of learning and my content isn't perfect, I hope it's fun or useful to you in some way. Since you're not a fan of Outlanders, then I assume I'll see you in Wilds when it comes out next year!
Lets just hope the premade character are just some kind of allies gacha, i dont think they are stupid enough to remove the core of the game like armor and weapons crafting
maibe very little people will notice it and i know is nothing new but all the structures shown at 1:25 are the exact same from the game WILDHEARTS i mean, in that game the ballista let you create your own shortcuts or hold the monster in place a few seconds, the wind turbine lets you reach certain places and for hunting, etc. but if i see a drying rack, fermenting barrel and smoking box im going to get really sus
The saddest part about all this is that this game won't flop, and other game companies will see this as a chance to make more gacha games out of the franchises we love. Mega Man X was first, then Devil May Cry and now Monster Hunter.
Some speculation in the video, that is worded as if they were facts. But I do agree with many of them and have similar theories/suspicions. Though I wouldn't throw out an own customizable hunter just yet. it is still possible that they make the self-insert protagonist character customizable as in both looks and gear. They could still sell gacha characters by giving them special moves and other unique abilities and if signature weapons are not only usable on those gacha characters, but also on your own hunter, that would just make them even more valuable to pull for. Since Timi's other games were rather light on its monetization and genshin and other big gacha games nowadays stray away from forced-pay difficulty walls, I think there is a good chance that with some grinding (as in doing your daily or weekly farming hunts) it would be possible to clear all the endgame content and the gacha isn't even required if you just wanna hunt with friends and enjoy the story.
If the gacha gonna have unique passive and ability what the point of hunting different monster for different playstyle weapons when the gacha ability outshine the craftable one?
I dont see how they'll make gatsha work to be honest. gatcha character with armor - why hunt monsters at all or even prep. gatcha weapons - again why hunt monsters for material if you're not using them on weapons on armor gatcha monsters - So not everyone can fight the same monsters? riiiight gatcha companions - this may work but it being optional I don't see how it'll sponsor the whole game so they re used all the assets, but you can make your own hunter, armor, or weapons. Theres no reason to hunt at all and the main loop for monster hunting is broken and doesn't make sense . . . but bro you can build a cool house
Yes, I agree. A gacha system seems antithetical to Monster Hunter’s core gameplay loop. But they might still have weapon/armor crafting for weapons that are f2p. But those will never be as powerful as the premium weapons/armor.
They could do layered armor. Its not that hard. But im not gonna surprised if it will be limited weapon banner lol Im expecting some sort of huge gap between F2P and P2W if that happen. This is not gonna be about skill anymore, its gonna be about whose wallet is emptier lol
@@rainscents Thats a good idea actually, layered armored would be huge but not as big as other gatcha based on characters. I'm mainly afraid that it deviates so much that it defeats the purpose of hunting monsters as a whole
Honestly the way i see them make hunting needed? Make the "armor" things like relics and artefacts which if it is tru will sucks HARD im hoping its a no but looks like their following the trends sadly
While established hunters may open doors to flesh out cultural lore surrounding where these "outlanders" comes from...Isn't it also a staple of gacha to have one generic main character who gets surrounded by all these companions recruted along the way? That you can't change a companion's apparence and they comes with preset armor/weapon is pretty standard even outside of gacha. Having side-story missions playing as them would be cool, as long as the main story is made around the player's avatar. I don't think both are incompatible, let's wait and see.
hopefully they handle the balancing like genchin where f2p is more usable and versatile and the big money equivalent to the five stars are niche and accel in that specific capability.
the only thing that bugs me is that they didn't go for the portable style of graphics for this game and instead opted to the World/Rise style not only would it be better for the amount of content they could reuse for this game (since they're already reusing assets from World), it would be way less intensive on the damn phone, including whichever one they used to record the game for the trailers which had very visible frame drops at times, and on top of that, it would be way easier to model new stuff made exclusively for the game since graphical details would depend way less on the mesh and way more on the textures themselves! It just doesn't compute in my head how this was the second time they could have used the style that has been used for almost two decades now, made almost specifically for portable devices, and the second time they DON'T use this style made specifically for portable devices
MH World's graphical style is more widely known than the previous entries and is more recognizable. It's a marketing strategy to make people think "Hey, I recognize this. It's something I liked."
This seems like it is meant to be a way to onboard mobile/gatcha game players into the proper monster hunter franchise. This game is clearly not meant for most fans, and I think that is fine.
Im not expecting much since i know Tencent owns Timi lmao (and just mobile games trope in general, gacha is mandatory) Im just gonna play this just for "playing" i guess, but im definitely not gonna love it lol
I like how Outlanders looks, particularly it's art direction, but it being a phone game was a dead giveaway that this would be a gacha game. What a monkey paw.
Coping time In the last few moments of the trailer, the part where a Diablos pops up from the ground, there are two characters present, this could mean that there's a companion system like in Rise and Wilds and can also mean that we won't be stuck playing as premade characters, unless the "player" with Rathalos armor and Longsword is a premade character, which if that really is the case then I'm going back to my emulators. If they wanted to show multiplayer, then they would've shown 4 hunters all at once but it seems that what they've only been showing gameplay wise is singleplayer. But hey, we'll just wait and see
Our character its actually a scholar. So probably we are going to be forced to play with characters like in Genshin sadly. Or just make our character as trash as it can be made it.
I mean, they’re trying something new. Just like they’ve always done. What’s the big deal? The way I see it, we’re still getting Wilds, so this game is just a bonus.
Not a big deal per se, but the main fanbase of Monster Hunter dislikes the gacha aspect of the game because it will directly intervene with the main gameplay loop of hunt, loot, craft. If your best armor and weapons comes from just earning enough currency and pulling on the banner instead from actually hunting a difficult monster and crafting it from its remains, then it takes away from the main fantasy of the series.
Those craftable base weapons sure do look a lot like something from EA’s Wild Hearts… which funnily enough is a “monster hunter clone” itself (a pretty decent one IMO) 😅🤷🏻♂️
I wanted to try out Wild Hearts, but reports of jankiness combined with the high price point and a mixed rating on Steam kept me from giving it a shot. Would've loved if they had a Steam Demo out for me to try out.
This game is probably gonna be popular in the Mobile market, sadly enough, Theres not much competition anyways since good games are really rare, This game is 100% not made for MH fans at all, but to the mobile market, wales and shit,
I guess it's either gacha, or them selling the full game for like $30 or $40 bucks. And from what I know, many people tend to barely want to pay $5 bucks for an app but will easily drop that or even more for gacha related stuff. But anyway! As long as the gameplay is actually fun and gives you a good enough MH experience, then that is fine with me. I know we won't be moving away from gachas or battle passes no time soon.
They drop more for gacha because it’s pretty much psychological manipulation + the dopamine from gambling. As for whether it will provide a good MH experience, we have to wait and see, but i’m not feeling very optimistic about it.
This is a Monster Hunter Game made for people that don't like Monster Hunter to begin with. I'll stick with Now, at least I can craft weapons and armors from the monsters I hunt.
Hooooo boi. That's an entirely different rabbit hole in and of itself. Safe to say, I agree that kids should not be taught to gamble early in their life.
i hope the gacha this is more like for layered armor/weapon & character not the armor/weapon, why we must gacha for it & for what we hunt the monster if we can't craft weapon/armor from it😅
@@VyncentRemethar , I'll definitely check it out too. Perks of being a f2p is anyone can play it even if it sucks. Who knows? Can't call it a bad game until we try it.
I don’t inherently have any issues with gacha, but it is definetly one of the least monster hunter genres. One thing that tends to make monster hunter enjoyable is choice. It’s hard to have choice while gambling
No choice? Oh come, now. You'll have plenty of choice with whatever f2p weapons and characters they'll offer. Don't you want to grind away at those materials?

I wouldn't mind them making their money, but I have a feeling that with the gacha system, it'll directly impact the player base's quality of life when playing the game.
I give the game a chance as a low spender. For me important is the word, gameplay and the heroes. I start my Gacha games with 50 euros like Nikke, Honkai, AFK Jouney, Wuwa and see my Progress over a year and spend nothing more.
@@Lyskard See you don't even know what you're talking about. You have 0 idea of how older online games monetize they always hid it at end game gear progression; also skins had not always been around. So now the question remains which is better you gamble to even play a character/class or you gamble once you had played your character dozens of hours to even hundreds that you're convince this one resonates with you. Also power creeping is natural in gacha games but in older games it was not or atleast it was not designed to be.

I don’t think they’ll delay the game.
@@VyncentRemethar For sure! See you in Wilds, Fiver!
Lets just hope the premade character are just some kind of allies gacha, i dont think they are stupid enough to remove the core of the game like armor and weapons crafting
I have been surprised by the gaming industry before. I'm honestly not sure.
This is TiMi we're talking about, I'm certain they WILL do something to absolutely ruin the game, just like they did with Pokémon Unite.
maibe very little people will notice it and i know is nothing new but all the structures shown at 1:25 are the exact same from the game WILDHEARTS i mean, in that game the ballista let you create your own shortcuts or hold the monster in place a few seconds, the wind turbine lets you reach certain places and for hunting, etc. but if i see a drying rack, fermenting barrel and smoking box im going to get really sus
Honestly I don’t think that’s a big issue. Cause you could argue Wild Hearts has taken inspiration from MH too.
The saddest part about all this is that this game won't flop, and other game companies will see this as a chance to make more gacha games out of the franchises we love. Mega Man X was first, then Devil May Cry and now Monster Hunter.
We’re already past the point of companies just discovering this. They’re already aware of it and they’ll try to profit off of it.
I think the point of Outlanders is to finance the support for Wilds :)
I guess, that can be a silver lining of sorts? But I honestly hope not.
i hope they are going to be like wuthering waves devs and listen to the community before doing something they regret
That’s wishful thinking, but I hope you’re right.
@VyncentRemethar the only thing we can do now is wait and see,and hope for the best for the game
You raise some very good points! Your view is more optimistic than mine on the matter, but definitely still in the realm of possibility.
If the gacha gonna have unique passive and ability what the point of hunting different monster for different playstyle weapons when the gacha ability outshine the craftable one?
If it does end up being implemented in this way, then it would definitely impact the experience.
people are being worried of something they shouldnt even be worried about
Might you elabroate a bit on that? I’m not sure what you mean.
I dont see how they'll make gatsha work to be honest.
gatcha character with armor - why hunt monsters at all or even prep.
gatcha weapons - again why hunt monsters for material if you're not using them on weapons on armor
gatcha monsters - So not everyone can fight the same monsters? riiiight
gatcha companions - this may work but it being optional I don't see how it'll sponsor the whole game
so they re used all the assets, but you can make your own hunter, armor, or weapons.
But im not gonna surprised if it will be limited weapon banner lol
Im expecting some sort of huge gap between F2P and P2W if that happen.
The hunting companies could work and the way they make it needed is make the timers really short or make the the monsters health's really big
This is basically Genshin Impact or Wuthering Waves with more realistic graphics
Similar, maybe, but the combat system os way too different.
All we can do is wait, but i’m not really optimistic about it.
“Specialized weapons”, you mean the weapons we should craft and put layered armor on for FREE?!
DING DING DING. COOOOOOORRECT!
Won't catch me dead playing MH Impact
I salute your willpower, hunter!
Well, it's not like there is non microtransactions in the last 2 monster hunter games, specially with the weapons skins in rise that is disgusting.
hopefully they handle the balancing like genchin where f2p is more usable and versatile and the big money equivalent to the five stars are niche and accel in that specific capability.
I'm not so sure this will be the case, sadly.
@@VyncentRemethar we can hope
Now take a tab from monster hunter stories and add eggs so we can tame monsters
Who knows? Maybe they'll implement this to add to the base building system they'll have in Outlanders.
the only thing that bugs me is that they didn't go for the portable style of graphics for this game and instead opted to the World/Rise style
not only would it be better for the amount of content they could reuse for this game (since they're already reusing assets from World), it would be way less intensive on the damn phone, including whichever one they used to record the game for the trailers which had very visible frame drops at times, and on top of that, it would be way easier to model new stuff made exclusively for the game since graphical details would depend way less on the mesh and way more on the textures themselves!
Yup. I called it. Especially when they spam every single monster hunter subreddit. I know because I follow them all
That's some dedication. XD
I don't mind this existing, we have a mainline title coming anyway.
... Taking away the ability to create your own hunter??? What are they thinking?!?!?!
Not 100% confirmed. You will have your own hunter but we don’t know if it’s a preset.
This seems like it is meant to be a way to onboard mobile/gatcha game players into the proper monster hunter franchise. This game is clearly not meant for most fans, and I think that is fine.
Exactly. They're trying to get some of the mobile/gacha revenue pie that other companies have been profiting off of.
Im not expecting much since i know Tencent owns Timi lmao (and just mobile games trope in general, gacha is mandatory)
Im just gonna play this just for "playing" i guess, but im definitely not gonna love it lol
Try it out. Stick with it if you like it, drop it if you don't. Easy as that.
I like how Outlanders looks, particularly it's art direction, but it being a phone game was a dead giveaway that this would be a gacha game. What a monkey paw.
Some of us were blind XD
this is gonna have the double the amount of bugs than just a regular MH game. Yeah, gonna pass on this one. Me and my homies would rather play MHU
Not sure about the bugs, but it will definitely pose a problem for my phone, that’s for sure.
And on the face of this, the game hasn't even come out yet. if it's free to download, that's enough for me.
Yeah at least trying it out is free so that’s what i’ll do.
*sees thumbnail*
Smash, next?
Check my most recent vid. Maybe you’ll find your next. ;3
Coping time
In the last few moments of the trailer, the part where a Diablos pops up from the ground, there are two characters present, this could mean that there's a companion system like in Rise and Wilds and can also mean that we won't be stuck playing as premade characters, unless the "player" with Rathalos armor and Longsword is a premade character, which if that really is the case then I'm going back to my emulators. If they wanted to show multiplayer, then they would've shown 4 hunters all at once but it seems that what they've only been showing gameplay wise is singleplayer.
But hey, we'll just wait and see
That’s the best outlook to have at this point.
Our character its actually a scholar. So probably we are going to be forced to play with characters like in Genshin sadly. Or just make our character as trash as it can be made it.
I was kinda hoping that the only monetization was cosmetics, still gonna try it though
Same, but the way it’s looking, i won’t be sticking with it for long.
Was I the only one immediately put off by this game's announcement before Wilds has been released? Felt like a big red flag to me
If you feel like this now, just imagine what would've happened if they announced this without Wilds backing it up. It would've been an outrage.
This game is probably gonna be popular in the Mobile market, sadly enough,
Theres not much competition anyways since good games are really rare,
This game is 100% not made for MH fans at all, but to the mobile market, wales and shit,
They’re trying to draw in a new audience and get them addicted to the combat system i assume.
Well, it isn't a mainline game. Spin-offs can do whatever they want tbh.
Oh, that goes without saying. It's still going to disappoint a lot of the fanbase though.
Bruh I've got my expectations for this from high to meh nvm
Welcome to my world.
in any case, it will be a Capcom gacha, if it reaches EoS we might get a paid version with no MTX?
I’m not sure. I wouldn’t hold my breath tbh.
At least we have another MH game
To an extent I agree, but my main wish is for it to be a good MH game.
Whoever thought a f2p phone game wasn't going to be a f2p phone game with everything that comes attached was really huffing the copium.
Hey! That’s me!
Looked like wild hearts with the zipline and propeller like 1 to 1
This is a Monster Hunter Game made for people that don't like Monster Hunter to begin with. I'll stick with Now, at least I can craft weapons and armors from the monsters I hunt.
i was going to make a video on this but this is already all i have to say to be honest, literally the same thoughts lol
Why hello there, my fellow, like-minded youtuber. Glad to see I'm not alone in my way of thinking!
@@VyncentRemethar yeah, pretty sure the community stands with us as well on this one.
They put gatcha in a subscription based game Frontier and in the prior big mobile game Explore. This seems pretty expected.
Sadly I was expecting gacha, but disappointed about the implied pre made character and character weapon lock
Fuck you can build?! Well there goes my wallet...
Show me your creations once you get in!
Limit time offer:Get Rathalos ruby for only 10$
The sad part is that this is totally believable.
I mean dunno what people were thinking. Mobile games makes a fuck-ton of money, why wouldn't they do this? It clearly works
Eeeexactly. The mobile market’s allure is too great to resist.
@@VyncentRemethar
It's Evil. Kids shouldn't be allowed to Gacha without education/history lesson that it wasn't always like this. 😂
Hooooo boi. That's an entirely different rabbit hole in and of itself. Safe to say, I agree that kids should not be taught to gamble early in their life.
game looks like it could be pretty fun as a spin off but the potential 'gotcha' is making this no from me dawg
Fair enough. I'm still gonna give it a shot if only to see how it plays, but it's probably not going to be something I play too often.
so what are we doing with the parts we get? can we make swords from carapaces and tails? or just some crummy resource?
That is the million dollar question.
if this game is monster hunter with zelda system, i will play it, but i hope the battleplay still the monster hunter...
Thankfully it seems that they will try to stay faithful to what makes MH's combat so addictive.
i hope the gacha this is more like for layered armor/weapon & character not the armor/weapon, why we must gacha for it & for what we hunt the monster if we can't craft weapon/armor from it😅
Even if it's layered armor doesn't that mean that you won't be able to get certain skins by hunting and crafting?
@@VyncentRemethar of course i hope we can still craft layered & gacha only for exlusive/fancy layered
If that's what's going to happen, it'll still be very disappointing. At least for me.
Dude, EVERYONE knew this was what they we're gonna cook. At the end of the day, it's just another game tho.
Pretty much. Personally, I'll try it out to see how I feel about it.
@@VyncentRemethar , I'll definitely check it out too. Perks of being a f2p is anyone can play it even if it sucks. Who knows? Can't call it a bad game until we try it.
*Wild Hearts exist* MH can learn a thing or two
MH Wilds: I guess not...
China MH: Well I hate gacha but base building? I'll try it out...
That base building. They knew it would draw people in.
They confirmed the gacha is support hunters. Calm
They are hunters that can be your allies AND hunters that you can directly control.
I thought it might not be a gacha, but I remembered elden Ring is also getting a gacha mobile game. No one is escaping this fate
You can't run, you can't hide.
Did they not learn their lesson with Pinnacle of combat?
Apparently not!
... wild hearts is that you
The similarities are striking, no?
I don’t inherently have any issues with gacha, but it is definetly one of the least monster hunter genres. One thing that tends to make monster hunter enjoyable is choice. It’s hard to have choice while gambling
No choice? Oh come, now. You'll have plenty of choice with whatever f2p weapons and characters they'll offer. Don't you want to grind away at those materials?
@ Ah yes the true evolution of farming lol
Idc about the Characters and story, i wanna play some MONSTER HUNTING GOODNESS, SNS HERE I COME!
Edit : Also, i just want to be a Bald Man in the game -_-
sure, Patches

@NegativeFpsisPain Good choice!
i think if Capcom wants to work with studio that make Heavily monetized shit and leave there current MTX business model as is in the core/main games im fine with that. Let Capcom make bank this way
I wouldn't mind them making their money, but I have a feeling that with the gacha system, it'll directly impact the player base's quality of life when playing the game.
4:08 wow! Aloy fans rejoice! You couldnt get her in Genshin? Get her now here!
Hopefully she comes with all her constellations this time!
It was obvious from the first trailer alone. It's a genshin clone in mh setting
We were still coping back then.
I give the game a chance as a low spender.
For me important is the word, gameplay and the heroes.
I start my Gacha games with 50 euros like Nikke, Honkai, AFK Jouney, Wuwa and see my Progress over a year and spend nothing more.
We have a gacha afficionado over here. Your MO kind of reminds me of Gigguk’s 3 episode rule for anime! XD
😂 Filthy gacha player you mean.
As long as people let themselves be fooled to Gamble to even play this world is doomed.

See you don't even know what you're talking about.
See, they CAN make unique weapon designs. There just was no incentive to...
Ah yes. Gambling incentivizing innovation in MH weapon design. What better way to do it? XD

Interesting....But oh boi mh as a mobile game? I know how the gacha is gonna work...But how is the hunting, material, upgrading material, orb farm is gonna be like. Are hunting gonna cost stamina? Mix feeling here.
That seems to be the most plausible answer. I doubt they’ll allow you to infinitely hunt.
