- This is a toy fair presentation video for the original G.I. Joe figures that were out during the 1960s. This is the one of the first videos shown during that time. It is owned by Hasbro.

I had gotten many of these sets and then some as a child. I am so glad that I took good care of them and put them away when I was done playing. Now at nearly 51 years young, I still have many of my G. I. Joe adventure sets, all in great condition and on display in my home. Never thought they would be worth the fortune they are today. I only took care of them because that's what I do. To replicate them is one thing, it's a bygone era. To grow up with them as the most desired toys for boys is another. There was no end to the imagination when playing with these action figures. A new jeep, boat, helicopter, etc., just added to the excitement. Fun could be had from the backyard to the living room fire place, bedroom dresser, and the bathtub. Don't dare have a set of stairs in the house because that meant a mountainous terrain. Wow, it was great being a little boy and growing up with G.I. Joe.
I admit, I don't think I've seen any of the 12" G.I. Joe figures in person. My brother collected the 3" ones back in 1982 and he built a big collection through 2000 or so.. minus the vintage figures (1980s) which he lost years ago. You're very lucky you were able to collect the original sets and figures.

If these were released today I think it would be a hit again, kept just like the original, the original body, equipment, face, box and vehicles, my ten year old cousin loves gijoe and I gave him one
I love this. They don’t make very convincing ads or as well thought out toys nowadays sadly.
Back then you didn't need to be confused about the "identity" of your dolls.

I had the 1996 special edition G.I. Joes when I was a kid.
Granted this wasn't my era of GI JOE, I find it hard not to imagine what COBRA would've looked like in the 1960s
The Toy Fair Presentation would have been in 1964, rather than 1963. Toy Fair was in February 1964, the year that GI Joe was released for sale.
Gordon Mayfield true thay had only two months to produce twenty thousand of them every department store wanted them then the next year Hasbro had to build an entire devision for making GI Joe 👍

I would like to see Hasbro release this Joe again for the 2018 + .... The masterpiece, timeless and other releases were ok ... But it seems they weren't as good as the original ....the figures just seemed looser ...wouldnt stand up as well .... The quality of the original is what makes this toy so good ... If anyone at Hasbro sees this please consider sending Joe back out on some new missions 😁

cyberfrank 2010 you see back in the 50s when toys were being more towards girls boys missed out, Like Senate hearing saying their girls are being trained into dressing up Barbie doll whilel boys are being traded to school work like math and said that this has to stop so in 1964 Hasbro gave boys an ultimatum so by that order GI Joe was born
There were German soldiers and Japanese soldiers made for G.I. Joe to combat against.
Long before kung fu 🥋 grip in the 1970s and the cartoon in the 1980s and the extreme in the 1990s sigma in the 2000s and the reboot movie in the late 2000s to present
