He is not politically motivated at all, actually. Dimash is wise; he understands the two-edged sword of politics. No, his is the dais of the sage and neighbor, not of the politician or "activist". An ideologue of any kind he is not. He's not interested in that. He's interested in old timeless good things. This is my conclusion at any rate from listening to his interviews, his family interactions and what they willingly share publicly about themselves, and what they spend their time doing. This is an older song of Dimash's. It is not new at all; think he wrote this in 2017.

Dimash composed this song when he was in Cina, and he hired a famous Chinese poet who wrote the lyrics as Dimash really wanted to be sure that the lyrics reflected what he wanted to express. The lyrics are impressive!
As to the filtering process, you just have to try different techniques until you find the magic combo that works... some darken and put patterns on top, others put a translucent picture on top...hes got a solo concert coming up in Duesseldorf Germany and the at the end of the month in Prague!

I don't know if you've already watched Dimash's performance of "Ikanaide". I don't see that you recorded a reaction to it. If you haven't seen it yet, please react to it. It's the Japanese version of "Autumn Strong," and it is Dimash's first song in Japanese. It translates to "Don't go" or "Don't leave". Performed in his studio sans backdrops or special lighting effects, it's an amazingly pure emotional performance that has brought many Dears to the brink of tears. Worth a watch!

I always love it when you watch and react to Dimash! Thank you! This song is so heart-piercing, Dimash sang it live on his Digital Show last year when again his live concerts had to be postponed. The song is much older than the current problems in Kazakhstan or Russia/Ukraine, but of course and sadly its theme and statements are always all too current. And Dimash clearly shows his attitude to it, he is brave and very clever in everything he does and says. The way he delivers the song here is so incredible, it is more screaming, fighting, asking, begging - and yes, he puts all in. Pure desperation. He is completely authentic in what he does on stage and embodies the brokenness, the polarity that is in the lyrics of the song. Dimash is unmatched. ... Hope for more Dimash, Lukas, thank you!

Happy to see you watching Dimash again! ❤ I personally love this song so much. Especially because he wrote it but I love the balance of it. The music is much louder and his voice is at a delicate level but still powerful. I wanna rock out to it but then it doesn't fit either. It's more like the power of the music beats angrily about war while his voice balances it with peace. ❤ I do sing along with him when I play though, and loudly too.

Dimash wrote this song several years ago and performed it fir the first time in 2018 in a concert in China. Dimash is always speaks in his concerts about peace and unity. Before performing this song in Dubai this year he gave very emotional speech. He also gave similar speech in his concerts in Russia and Ukraine in 2020.
Dimash announced that the digital show will be live, instruments and singing. It was released in January 2021.
What is even more poignant is that Dimash performed this song in Kiev and Moscow just a few days apart in concerts in both those cities in 2020. So sad his wish for peace and no war was ignored. He cancelled his appearances in Russia when the war started.
Dimash just gave a heartfelt speech against war at his concert in Dubai a couple of weeks ago and then sang this song. His next concert is in Dusseldorf this April 9th and he will likely sing this song again there and in Prague which will be in another couple of weeks after that one.

Dimash is singing live here at his online concert January last year at his home musical theater.
His stance with the war is with the people. He is very unhappy what is going on with the Russian/ Ukraine war and not to forget that his own country went through unrest right after the holidays. He is very outspoken about against war and I’m very concerned about his stance about it because of his popularity.

Politically speaking, this song is TRULY for these times. It's so appropriate that it's in Mandarin. Maybe China can be the voice needed to end this conflict. My hopes are low. Dimash is WAY more hopeful than I.
He is politically engaged.
His own government had his Instagram account blocked during the Kazakhstan demonstrations last winter. He's gotten his Instagram account back, cuz he's now "too big to cancel" over just nice words. In his Dubai concert, he said a whole piece against war, without pointing political fingers. He is taking risks that most artists aren't and being wise about it.
