You have done what I Always has ask for, testing shoes with the right person/athlete… proffessional stride to make justice for the technology and also the brand. Great test and nice insights. Well done!
This is pretty late but I was wondering which spike I should get if I’m running the 1k and the mile this coming indoor season. I heard that the victory’s are not very durable and the zoomx foam would separate from the bottom plate. Is this true?
From what I've heard from others, the only place you should wear dragonflys is on a dry grassy course, as you'll get the most energy back from the plate in the shoe on the hard ground. A muddy, wet, or gravel-ey course might not be the best place to wear down the zoomx foam on the spike
Hi. What about the size? Compared with a road shoe, would you recommend same size or 1/2 smaller? I am 11.5 US size for trainers and like spikes a bit more adjusted, but I fear making a mistake ordering smaller online. Thanks
Most of my friends have them a half size smaller because of the good fit. I have them right in my size I’m using my Pegasus right know. It’s really hard to say. For me the Air Zoom Victory has the same size as my Pegasus everyday shoe. But if it’s tight you can go without socks and it should then fit.
I would prefer the air zoom victory for 800m and probably the dragonfly at 1500m until a pace of 2:40mins/km then I would switch to the Air Zoom Victory as well, but it depends on what shoe you feel more comfortable with.
@@niderun9305 for me the Dragonfly are more versatile, they have enough cushion for long distances, and enough response for 800m (did 1.59 in a test with them) Just did 2 strides with the Air Victory and they'r better at a higher speed (toe landing) faster than 2'30/km for me. Slower than this I feel them too tall in the front and a bit unstable
@@benanastasoff8980 I think so, for me the air victory just works until 1500m I can feel the propolsion they give. More than that is not natural to stay on my toes. In other hand the Dragonfly are very good also for shorter distances, I did 800m with them and got my faster time in 3 years. Even if you are a forefoot striker you will like the Dragonfly too
It really depends on these factors: race distance, which event are you planning to run? 400-1500m then the Air Zoom Victory, everything above 1500m then the dragonfly. type of runner, speed or endurance guy? if you are a more speed focused guy then go with the Air Zoom Victory if more endurance focused then the dragonfly spikes. hope I could help you with this answer.

Thank you.
Thank you so much for the reviews, they are very helpful. I just bought the Victory for distances of 800 meters. 🎉🎉
Great review, made in Wien with that ☺️, thanks! I am decided for the dragonfly I just have to find one pair...
u have a great future in UA-cam dude
Great test and nice insights, thank you!
This is a great review and analysis...thanks for posting.
Most helpful video Ive found on these shoes. Thanks!

Yeah that’s true!
Great review, just what I needed! Thank u!!
Appreciate that!
Nice video, i use 43,5 in europe du you think 44 will fit in both dragonfly and air zoom victory?
I wear 42 for all road running shoes and for me it’s 42 on the Air Zoom Victory and 42.5 at the Dragonfly Spikes. So it’s difficult to say.
Would you recommend wearing the Dragonflys on outdoor XC races? I’m a senior in HS running the 5k, the terrain varies

I have records of 4:03 and 15:7 for both 1500m and 5000m, which should I wear, Dragonfly or Air Zoom Victory?
Dragon flys cos they are more durable for long distance
Great review, thanks 👌🏻
Which shoes do you think would be the best for distances of 800, 1500 and 2000-3000 steeplechase? thackyou
You should try one on each foot to feel the difference
Good idea. Will implement that in future shoe reviews.
Which shoe would you prefer for 1500m or 800m?
I would prefer the air zoom victory for 800m and probably the dragonfly at 1500m until a pace of 2:40mins/km then I would switch to the Air Zoom Victory as well, but it depends on what shoe you feel more comfortable with.
nideRUN So if I was to buy one shoe would you recommend the air zoom victory more.

Celso Pinto I’m a big forefoot striker, so do you think that the victory would be best for someone like me? That is what I was planning on buying

Could u use the air zoom victory for sprinting like the 55, 100, and 200?
yes
you shouldn’t. buy a sprinting spike
I think that you should compere one runner with 2 different shoes , every runner have a bit different technique
Great video. Very helpful. Thanks.
The same size work for you same way with both shoes?
I felt the Air Victory too big in the front
Celso Pinto I have the Dragonfly in 42.5, 0.5 bigger then my usual running shoes and the Air Zoom Victory right at 42.
@@niderun9305 interesting you took the dragonfly half a size bigger, so they are not true to size?
Which one would you recommend for a 6’1 size 13 shoe runner

I really want to buy these, where can I get them? Or will when they be back in stock possibly

They do, you can buy the dragonfly shoe.
Hi, for someone aiming for a 4:10 1500 (about 2:46/km pace), which spike would you recommend?
Tom Gillbanks go with the air zoom victory, you will get faster in the future hopefully!
nideRUN Thanks, yeah hopefully!!
Would you say that the air zoom victory could handle a 3200m?
Karthik Sivalasetti surely, but don’t know if you calves could.
