- Alright so In this video we are looking at the QK75 compared to the Thera75 as well as the zoom TKL! I know a lot of you in my channel have been loving these and wanted a companion on them. So I hope this helps in some way lmao.. I know I’m not the best for when it comes to just listing facts so I really only talked about things that I care about when build/buying a keyboard.. thanks for watching!!!

I personally have never considered an “enthusiast” board because even the $270 Thera is so hard for me to being myself to. But once it went below 200 for multiple insane options that you mentioned, no strings attached, I was like, freak. Sooooo stoked to build my Zoom TKL black on black on black babyyyyyyyyyYEEEEE
Like the comparisons went with the zoom in Sky Blue (prefer lower profile for gaming). First build and really excited to get it.

I’m looking forward to my Zoom TKL arriving. Personally I’m going to use actual PE foam as well as a tempest tape mod. Some people may like how poron switch foam isn’t too over the top, but I love the over the top sound of PE foam. And the tape mod will definitely add some more heft(couldn’t think of a better word) to the sound.
No matter which board you get or what preference you have you can’t go wrong and that’s the special part about these boards.

Nice vid, would you do a part 2 where you do a sound test of all three keebs? (Same switches, plate and keycap material to make it more fair)
got the Qk75 in milky white + sandblasted dusk with POM plate. Going for a retro look with mt3 9009 keycaps. first custom keyboard looking forward to it
got the qk75 in green, had a hard time deciding on the weight but decided on the mirrored dusk based on your video. I love how its basically black unless its in direct light

@@bradyvilhauer4445 I went wild this black friday and got 3 sets to try out: NicePBT Vasilisa, NicePBT British Racing Green, and the one im most excited for PBTFans Resonance. I got the golden badge and Im hoping itll match well with the yellows in those sets, if not I grabbed the black knob as a backup

Yeah same, this my first GB so I’m hoping it ships when they claim. Also I wanted to save shipping money so I bought my switches on the same order so they don’t ship ‘til the board does 😭😭😭 I can’t even lube and film them ‘til I also have the board. What a horrible call

Great video! Got my QK75 (Ice white, mirror polished gold back plate) yesterday can’t wait for to get it set up.
What do you think about the ice white spray? I heard the paint sprayed ones have sparkle effects that I’m kind of regretting 😂
The QK75 will hopefully be my first custom keyboard and I absolutely cannot wait!
And it would literally be the best time and opportunity anyone could have had coming into this hobby to get this as their first board.
I love knobs plus I have the Zoom65, so I had to go for the QK75.
Zoom TKL looks amazing though.
Zoom TKL all the way for me. Love the TKL factor. I think that is the best choise, IF you are not into knobs and you feel like using the Print Screen, Pause exc. The glass back is super nice also and you just cant go wrong with this. Also, Meletrix said that every flaw like the led bleeding is going to be fixed.
Yeah, personally I like the look of the QK75 a tiny bit more than the Zoom TKL but the fact that's its a TKL is what got me to actually buy it.

You're doing god's work here man. I keep asking forums and other UA-camr comment sections Zoom TKL or QK75 in terms of quality (based on previous releases and reputation), sound, and feel and they all answered with the nonsensical "iTs PReferEncE, up to you" like that helps lol. I swear this community isn't aware that its being way too unfriendly to newbies most of the time.

Hi! I'm curious, is it possible for the gasket handles of the PCB to break? and will there be a problem if it does?
For me, I think objectively, the QK75 is a slightly better board than the Zoom TKL. But I just prefer the aesthetic of the TKL layout so much more, which makes it the better buy for me.
Also, personal preference wise, I'm not a fan of the cursive style font on the weights. I think its tacky and overdone on so many boards. The back on the Zoom TKL and the LED side glow really stands out to me as a clean but still unique touch.

I was thinking what should I go next, I decided to purchase second qk75 with another color after this video.
I think another thing to consider is the layout of the boards. For example, if you get Zoom TKL but don't use the Pause, SrLock, and the PrtScreen, in my opinion not worth the price and desk space with the size of the board. Then, comes down to 2 of the 75% to choose from with what they offer for personal liking, case, colours, knobs, etc.
dude if 3 inches of desk space in any way affects your decision, you need a new desk a hell of alot more then a new keeb
@@vincentellsworth7905 I'm not sure whether you misunderstood or get upset with my comment due to your personal preference. But, you need to know that not all people has a big desk space and some prefer getting only a few boards instead of a shelf worth. And getting a new desk just to use bigger size board? Yes, it's good in some ways, but I don't think that's wise without considering your room space and budget.
If you think I'm trying to convince people to not to get TKL, my opinion also doesn't mean people should make choice based on it. It's all up people's own choice in the end.

Man the 3 month wait for the QK75 is gonna be tough.
3 months is fairly short compared to other GBs! Have had to wait over a year for stuff before, some have even took 3 years lol

Not too bad, i've been waiting on the Paragon keyboard since january this year and the QK75 will probably arrive at the same time it does next year lol.
I think most people like TKL over 75 because of the aesthetics, but in practice unless you use scroll lock, insert, end, you don't need a TKL. Also the, QK75 comes with a extra F row button which you can map.
Someone told me that they don't like the small right shitt..... i guess everyone has their reasons but 75 is my preference.
Are you talking about F13? I believe that the Zoom Tkl also has that.

What board can you make both thocky and clacky?
I love reviews like this coming from a user's perspective without going into all the technical details. Most of us are just average consumers who want a nice keyboard at an affordable price point.
The only thing that bothers me about the QK75 is the typing angle at 8 degrees. If they had it lowered to 6 or 7, it would have been an immediate buy.
How about tiger 80 or tiger 80 lite vs zoom tkl
For the two 75% boards, they both share a version of the format that I'm not a fan of... 3 key nav. The mode Sonnet, Akko 75s, and GMMK Pro all have the 4 key nav column so you can have Home, End, Page Up, and Page Down along with a Delete key.
The separate arrow keys doesn't look as nice either, should have done the same layout as sonnet/jelly epoch but more ppl voted for the other layout In their discord
you can put it in the F13 button
it’s an exploded 75 layout and i think it looks the best instead of everything touching. it would look like a cheap prebuilt keychron if the arrow keys and nav keys were too close to each other
I have GMMK Pro the and 4-key navigation layout is tricky because I keep pressing the 4th key instead of up/right arrow on so many occasions despite owning the keyboard since release. The 3-key is slightly more compact too and closer to the Backspace/Enter keys.
@@SafMan89 Eww. I would've skipped on it if it had the same layout. Just buy Sonnet if you want that layout. Most people prefer exploded.
Really wanted the get the zoom tkl, but the shipping cost was 90 dollars which just made it way more expensive compared to the qk75

I wouldn't buy off meletrix. There are a lot of vendors that have stock of the Zoom TKL

Are the owlstabs on the QK75 good after only lubing? Any rattling or anything?
They are really good.. I’ve tried 3 pairs so far and all sound great!

Yes. But I think you will need to use the soldered PCB for that.

As a newbie I found this very useful and really enjoyed the laid back style. Fair enough if you need every single detail laid out to you because you have bad decision making skills.

You can't. Was there a sound comparison with same switches and caps? No. So what was the purpose of this comparison? I have no clue how this could have been useful for you but hey you do you and keep on hating. Hope you bought/will buy a thera75 and its below par soldering job.
