Board Game Arena has put the sentiment expressed around 35:40 even more poignant for me. Not only "do I like this game enough to pull it out over other games?" but also "do I like this game enough to play and own it physically?". And, I watched because I always like to see people's opinions on games that they've played for the first time.
Yeah that second part of the question is becoming more and more of a factor. Board Game Arena and Tabletop Simulator and dedicated video-gamifications of board games are often “good enough,” or, in some cases, even a bit more efficient than physical copies! And thank you for the feedback! I appreciate it!
Oh good lord. I watched because first of all I loved all your other videos I've come across. And second, I had a very hard time learning Jaws of the Lion and Imperium Classics solo even one game at a time. I can't believe you did it man. Watching you suffering more and more made me uncomfortable and I hope you took/take care of yourself and get a good rest.
Hi. Watched the whole thing cause I was painting. And we all knew what was going to happen at 2am lol. Sorry you werent feeling Earth. The public objectives can affect how the game feels, particularly in the "tile laying" puzzle department. But if its not your jam, then that's okay. I too thought Imperium lasted longer than it should... You should invite 3 other friends over to do this again! Fewer games next time, but still
I definitely have some ideas for how to do another big marathon thing in a fun new way! And I'll be giving Earth a few more plays before I decide if it's for me or not... Playing 10 games back to back made it surprisingly easy to see which ones were standouts and which ones were more run-of-the-mill, but it also may have made me a bit harsher than usual haha
I watched the video because I wanted to see how it all went, and you’re fun to watch. I’m wondering…did you find yourself rushing and not engaging fully with any of the games/rules? I usually takes me some time to understand the rules and implement them but you’re probably just way a more seasoned gamer than me.
I don’t think so-it’s entirely possible that it happened subconsciously, so I’m planning on going back through and playing all these games in more normal settings to see if my feelings are different, but I tried to commit to giving each game the time that it took to learn/play, even if it would knock me off my schedule. I was actually surprised by how not terrible learning the rules for all of them ended up being-I’m usually a much slower learner. I don’t know if it just so happened that the majority of these games had simple enough concepts or if the situation just threw me into hyperdrive, but the only games that really took something out of me to learn were Imperium (just a *lot* of different terms and types of cards), Earth (as I mentioned in the video, a bunch of “currencies” to keep track of), and Raiders of Scythia (I think that was just because it was the first).
I watched because I wanted to see a man's board-game assisted breakdown over the course of 24h - and done in a well produced way 😄 Also so that I can vicariously watch someone play board games while I'm at work lol
@@lynxstorm I think that one would take AT LEAST a week... even I'm not crazy enough to do that in one go! But hey, maybe once I hit some subscriber milestone I'll do something nutty again
This was more fun to watch than it should have been. 😂 You're a brave man, I'd probably only survive 3 max if the rules teach had to happen the same day. Out of these I've only played Raiders of Scythia and Marvel Zombies. I agree with your points on both games, although I think I enjoy Scythia a bit more than you did. Marvel Zombies is soloable, but more fun with people. I left it set up for a week and ended up creating a campaign mode where characters that were killed off were out of the rest of the game. With the Kickstarter edition, I certainly had enough characters to chew through. Anyway, great video! Always enjoy your stuff. I'm also reminded I need to play more Final Girl to see if we had similar opinions in the ones I haven't tabled yet. 🤔
That custom Zombies mode sounds really cool! Yet another reason I'm kicking myself for not backing that Kickstarter... Although the shipping cost was WAY too crazy
@@boardandsaviorgames oh yeah. Shipping for CMON games is not good. On the plus side, most of the expansions are available retail, and that's still a ton of content if you're interested.
I started watching because I wanted to see which games you HAVEN'T played before. And your thoughts on them. But then after game 3 I was a bit ashamed to be watching someone so clearly terrible at games. But then game 4 turned that around and all of the sudden you were winning! Mostly I stayed because I appreciate the work you put in and it was enjoyable to watch you slowly deteriorating into unintelligible nonsense. Now I secretly want to have a 24 hour gameathon. But with friends
It is cool to see someone spiral down to madness while doing something they enjoy. Very inspirational.
What can I say, I'm here to inspire!

@@boardandsaviorgames When can we have the followup where you play that entire Star Wars game in a single session?
And that's only 4 games iirc - not even 5!

Friends would help! A LOT.
Watched the whole video... Why?... It was entertaining 👌🏻... And I was thinking about doing a marathon some day but now I'm like: maybe not? 😂
5 games is totally worth it! 10 games is... not.
Yeah sounds better... don't want the slow descent into madness 😅
Hi, I watched it because I'm interested in your opinions on games !
Honestly you'd have done this in two days and it would have been as good for me ;)
Haha maybe that's what I'll do next time!
this video is at the sacrifice of a game of dnd not being played
Worth it
What's going to be your next 24hr challenge, you savage.
I could always do the same concept, but bring along a friend... Two people losing it is better than one!
