    Huawei Honor 6X Screen Repair, Teardown and Reassemble Guide Steps:
    Warning:
    You are performing this repair at your own risk
    We claim no responsibility for any damages that might occur
    The DIY Huawei Honor 6X repair tools used in this video can be found here: www.fixez.com/...
    Step 1
    Power down your Huawei Honor 6X phone.
    Step 2 (Huawei Honor 6X SIM and microSD Tray)
    Eject the dual Nano-SIM and microSD card tray.
    Step 3 (Huawei Honor 6X Rear Case)
    Use the plastic triangle opening tool to release the clips and pop the Huawei phone out of its metallic rear enclosure.
    The cable for the fingerprint scanner is still connected to the motherboard, so don’t try to remove it entirely just yet.
    Remove the following 5 Phillips screws and then the metal bracket.
    Disconnect the cable and separate the Honor 6X rear case from the phone.
    Step 4 (Huawei Honor 6X Motherboard)
    Starting with the Huawei Honor 6X battery connector, spudge up the bevy of cables from the motherboard.
    Remove the following 4 Phillips screws.
    Carefully free the Honor 6X motherboard from the gob of thermal paste securing it to the midframe.
    Step 5 (Huawei Honor 6X Dual-Lens Rear-Facing Camera and Front-Facing Camera)
    Detach the dual-lens 12-megapixel plus 2-megapixel Honor 6X rear-facing camera from the motherboard.
    Remove the 8-megapixel Huawei Honor 6X front-facing selfie camera.
    Step 6 (Huawei Honor 6X Daughterboard and Loudspeaker Assembly)
    Remove the following 5 Phillips screws and 2 T5 Torx screws.
    Pry up the bracket that includes the spring-contact-connected Honor 6X vibrator.
    Extricate the interconnect cable and then pop the coaxial cable off the daughterboard.
    Easily remove the Huawei Honor 6X daughterboard and loudspeaker assembly from the phone.
    Detach the loudspeaker and then separate the daughterboard. It includes the Honor 6X micro USB port, microphone, spring contacts, and some control hardware.
    Step 7 (Huawei Honor 6X Battery)
    With the spudger in hand, free the 3340 milliampere-hour (mAh) Honor 6X battery from the adhesive securing it to the midframe.
    Step 8 (Huawei Honor 6X Earpiece Speaker and Power and Volume Buttons Cable)
    Pluck the Huawei Honor 6X earpiece speaker out of the chassis.
    Use the tweezers to remove the power and volume buttons cable from the side of the midframe.
    Step 9 (Huawei Honor 6X Display Assembly)
    Use the heat gun to warm up the adhesive securing the 5.5” full HD Huawei Honor 6X display assembly to the frame.
    Start slicing through the adhesive with the triangle opening tool. Take your time and apply additional heat as needed.
    Once you have sliced through the adhesive, be mindful of the display’s cable when decoupling the Huawei Honor 6X screen from the frame.
    * To reassemble your device, follow the steps in reverse order.

    Your contribution saved us from replacing an already new phone due to a broken charging port. I had no idea it would be this easy to replace: ordered the part, waited nine days for its arrival, and had it installed and back to normal in a matter of minutes--all for less than $10. A huge thank you!

    Be very careful when removing the battery. it is much more difficult than the video shows, I actually punctured mine when trying to get it out. Great video!

      @ysfkfnd 5 років тому +2

      I used an old "credit card-like" thin and stiff plastic card to work it out. As mentioned be extremely careful, because if punctured it may quickly flame and explode. I started at the upper right corner by the way.

      How did you continue after puncturing it? I did the same and now am a little afraid to continue. I have it sitting outside.

      I did same. After punching my battery become hot and I put it outside within fone. After 2-3 days I checked. I was cool down. Then I replaced battery with old credit card. Now working fine 👍

    thanks for making this. just got done changing my lcd+glass+frame, i'm really glad I got the frame with the lcd, made the job a lot easier. the battery is very stuck on, i used a heat gun to help loosen the battery from the screen side and it made it a lot easier. also make sure you only use blunt plastic tools when prying it out. i can see how someone without experience could easily puncture the battery

    if you only want to replace the screen, you don't need to remove the battery from the frame!

    • @ysfkfnd
      @ysfkfnd 5 років тому +1

      That's true. Only for those replacing the screen with the frame. Each seems to have pro's and con's right? I would stick with replacing the frame altogether. I did this. What do you prefer?

    Should you use any double sided tape or anything to reattach the new screen or is the existing one left on the phone enough to hold the new one in place securely?

    I have this phone and the screen got cracked with the screen protector. After repairing the screen, it got lighter when i switch it on and when i type something fast , more than 1 of the same alphabet gets clicked without touching. This time it was without a screen protector. Does this mean i need a screen protector? I want my screen to look darker when on and perfect typing.

    • @eucalyptux
      @eucalyptux 7 років тому

      On Ebay from China, 10€ for the glass/digitizer alone but since you probably won't have the equipement/skill necessary for the séparation and re-gluing of the glass and the LCD, there is also on ebay the combo for 30€.
