Hi mark, Can you please mark this response?
I would like to opine in favour of installing HD vision cameras around the hostel as it seems a more convincing
choice for me. Even though the biometric installation would cost less than the cameras, cameras would help in multifarious ways.
To start with, last month some hostlers came from the farewell on the night of 20nd Nov which was organized by their seniors. They were all high and were fighting
with each other outside the building. Furthermore, two cops came to our hostel and the boy had no evidence due to which cops could not take any action against them.
In addition to that, we can easily trace the thieves in case of any robbery. Last week, Yash, my friend, lost his cycle. Our main security guard saw that somebody broke the lock and had taken the cycle in a short period. He ran after him but
he could not catch him. In these types of situations, one can catch the thieves by watching the footage.
Again, these are my personal beliefs, but I would support whatever the campus decides to do.

Thanks for this correction that's helped me to learn more vocabulary!
anti-litter, pupils, moreover, owing to the , impose fine, capitalization rules, it could yield important results, deter, back-to-back, there're upset, to provide input.
    Take care!

    Hallöchen Mark!!!
As sure as death and taxes you would get 12!!! Who - if not you!!!👍👍👍👍👍
Having to take the CELPIP exam must be pretty hard!!! I'm really glad I don't have to prove my English skills anymore!!!
Your awesome videos and CELPIP books are real lifesavers for sure!!!👍👍👍👏👏👏
Thanks for all the effort you put into helping us to improve our English skills!!!
When you said we had to forget the rules of our own language, I had sort of a flashback!!!
It remembered me of a young man with a large knife and half a water melon!!! I just can't remember his name!!!🤔🤔🤔
It's on the tip of my tongue, though!!!
    (Senior moment, obviously!!!😁😁😉)
The usage of capital letters in German is pretty complicated!!!
There was a huge so-called "Orthography reform" around the turn of the millenium in order to "SIMPLIFY" the German written language!!! Some years later, however, it was partly taken back!!!
So I have to look certain words up, when it comes to formal writings!!!
In Germany municipal is called "Gemeinde" (BTW: Gemeinde also means "parish"!!!)
Of course I recall when you met Premier Jason Kenney at the airport!!!
Owing to the fact that I tend to be just a tiny bit "hypochondriac" (to put it mildly😂😂😂), I always try to avoid eating with my hands in public (even before COVID)!!!
It would be fair to say, I'm a little tad peculiar (well, just a smidgen😁)!!!
The bottle deposit system (including soda cans) as it is today, was introduced in the early 2000s!!!
Most glass- and plastic bottles as well as soda cans cost 0.25€ ($0.36), whereas the deposit for a beer (or Radler) bottle is only 0.08€ ($0.12)!!!
Do you think I should start drinking more Radler, then???🤔🤔🤔
Eating with chopsticks is a rather difficult task to tackle!!! I, for my part, can hardly handle chopsticks properly!!!😪😪😪
Thanks for this most useful lesson, dear Mark!!!
Wish you a wonderful time in Canada!!!
    Take care, my friend!!!😎👑😎👑😎🤝🇨🇦🇩🇪🙋‍♀️

      Happy Saturday! 😃😃
      Thanks so much!
Hmm, a knife and half a watermelon? It doesn't ring a bell! 😁
It's great to avoid eating with your hands in public! I do too! Since the pandemic started, I've been washing my hands first thing after coming home from being outside. I wonder how long it would take for my mentality to go back to normal if the pandemic ended. 🤔
Yup, I'd say you have a good incentive to up your radler intake! 😎
Hope you have an awesome day in Doreenchenville!

    Hi, teacher Mark!
Could you, please, explain how to distinguish advance words from their synonyms?
Why is Yield considered more advanced than Give in your view, based on the context of the writing text task you talk about in this video?
Is Ramification a more advanced term than Consequence or Result?
What are Advanced vocabs about? Is it about how rarely a word is used or about the number of syllables it contains? Is it about level of academic education (similar to social economical class differentiation) or about how specific or intertwined a term is to a particular activity or situation?
    Thanks!

    • @MadEnglishTV
      @MadEnglishTV  7 місяців тому

Hi! 😃 Great questions! I would say that advanced vocabulary means words that are used for very specific situations and also used by educated people. Yes, ‘ramification’ is more advanced because it’s usually used in business, politics, or economics. Also, educated people use that word. Sometimes the same thing can have different names depending on their location. For example kitchens have counters, but garages have a work bench. A counter is a place where you make food and a work bench is a place where you do woodworking. If you use the correct word on the exam, you’ll get a higher score. 😃

Hi, Mark, I just wrote an answer for the writing task in this episode. What do you think of it? Is it worth grade 9?
Honestly, I prefer educational program rather than imposing fine. Although imposing fine would relieve the
litter problem to some extent, I still think environmental education is the thorough solution for it.
Essentially, imposing fine for dropping litter is a solution by brutal force. I do not think people would like any
regulations by force. So, after carrying out it for months or years, people would probably think it is annoying.
Some inhabitants would even hate it because this scheme looks like a way of extracting wealth from the
    public.
In contrary, environmental education could reduce or even eliminate dropped litter from the root of this
problem. Why some people do not mind dropping litter everywhere? In my opinion, the fundamental rationale
is they do not have sufficient notion about the current situation of environment and pollution. In their mind,
waste paper or plastic bottles dropped to the nature is not a big deal. However, this kind of perception is
apparently wrong. So, if we can convince them of the vulnerability of the environment we are living in and
show them the circulation of toxins from litter, I believe they would not drop those wastes anymore. After all,
everybody is a victim of the litter problem, including themselves and their family members.
In summary, between imposing fine and environmental education, I definitely prefer the latter. I hope
everybody could care about our world and make their own contribution no matter how small it is.

Hi Mark. Excellent lesson, your score 12 point. I like these types of videos. Give me a time to think about it. The problem is you can see.... long over 1 hour. I woukd never have the proper writing or speech in English, but your teaching helps me a lot. I'm writing a lot of complains letter and so-on. Littering is a bad things before was a normal. Since the prohibition and fine became a law lot of people lost his job. Canada and we are having the same system using different names. Province in CA state in AUS. We have councils you have municipalities. I have not much problem with them, just once a years sending the "protest email" to them for rising the council rate. But, this is no prob at all, the opposition will compose the letter to the residents and we have to just forward and that's all. So, how many politicians we have? God knows! I can't find any number or percentage compare to labors !! From the bureau statistics sometime following the "the labor market", that means the economy is approving or going down, the stock market follow the trend. 🥰🥰

Hi Mark, we really appreciate the videos and it is fantastic in giving us guidelines. However, I have some confusion about your book collections. You know that most of the students are limited in their time and energy, and usually we don'r prepare long ago like running a marathon.
You talked a lot about different books. But in the condition that we dont have that much time, we might only choose one. Would you please give us some advice on the priority? Vocabulary, Idioms, 8-9 are all very important according to your videos but we really just want to read only one given the limited resources.

Hi teacher , your way to teach English is very understandable that's why I wanna ask something really important , I ask you please make a video about modal verbs because they are really confusing , like should , could , would , should have , could have , would have , should,t have,, etc.....
there are a lot of videos about this thing in UA-cam but I prefer your way of teaching because I could get them but not as much as I get you.. I'm sure if you just make a short video like 10 minutes you are gonna be so helpful for thousands of learners..
