usually boletes are poisonous when they turn blue. I mean these might be a rare kind which isn't, but for anyone trying to learn how to forage. Boletes have a sponge under the cap and as long as it doesn't taste bitter or turn blue when damaged, it's good to eat.
@@imortalkiwi9300 he don't he goes to other people he "only" goes to town for food when he can't find none now we can't know exactly what he does but heck that's what they say is imma listen to it
Have you ever tried to find edible mushrooms in the woods? Not so easy and not always an option. Society is easier by far, stressful as it so often is. I agree the idea of it is great though.
tariq sherwani you can go on bushcraft camping trips for practise that's what I've been doing since I was 7 y.o. I hope y the time I'm 35 I will have a wealth of knowledge to do this on my own or with my pals if they wish to
+Amanda Wolfe Hey Amanda I heard about stone soup in Junior high school I think. It was in a fiction book we read in class and I thought it might be yummy. I enjoyed watching this video but I don't actually want to try stone soup anymore. lol
Shop locally like farmers markets or go out their and gather yourself. Get lots of sunlight, stay grounded as much as possible… stop using useless chemicals like deodorant and toothpaste and replace them. Stop cooking on non stick… no more microwaving. Also taking minerals and vitamins consistently
@@03PaK Ya, I didn’t even know my town had a farmers market, until I was driving back on the outskirts of town and saw it. Definitely gonna start going.
*Finds clean river potentially full of fish*
Decided to cook a rock
Mr. T I was gonna like this comment but can’t brake that like amount
There's already beef bones can't you see
big nerd has no idea how hard it is to catch a fish while swimming or by trying to catch it by hand
THUMBS UP! LOL Funny but true comment! ;)

That foo said I'm good on that soup and bounced

That stew actually looks pretty good.
I love this. Such a simple way of living, yet so rewarding. Respect Mother Nature, and she provides.
I would if I could
this show is fake tho. these guys dont live in the woods
General420smoke you just love too ruien stuff
General420smoke that guy has since the late 80s early 90s..mick dodge..look him up
General420smoke it's funny because I don't care even if I know it is - I guess I am just a simple human.
I've literally replayed him saying "Let's make stone soup" about 90 times
They sure have some High end leather outfits.
Right? And those purses looks straight off the shelf too.
He gets them from his friend who owns a cabin and a small leather making, makeshift store. He trades stuff like wood, and cool things he finds.

Had stone soup in one of my classes. The instructor ate this almost every day outliving his kids, classmates
So what did his kids eat? if he out lived them?.surely they would of eaten the same foods
I ate stone soup while watching this. I've had the stew for about 3 days. I made like 8 quarts of soup lol
soooooo it's just a pot of twigs, water and rocks....my niece and nefew make that all the time we call it play food.
kriss bbyxo you want to eat some with me
I bet you would pay for "beef and mushroom broth" in a restaurant
they could've try to get some fish from the river for the soup.
+paradisegunshot
What do think that guy ran away to get. He wants to eat it alone too! lol
They already added beef rib bones so I dunno if they'd like to mix flavors
Probably they go to Forks store for fish. Or Forks supermarket
dude you cant mix fish and stone soup. everyone knows that
Eh I'd rather eat stone than getting an allergic reaction
Id love to do that one day.. Get away from the stress n pressure society has burdened us with!
+tariq sherwani Yes, it takes courage, otherwise we all say:"I would..." Just blah-blah;)

Its like when Spongebob went to live with the jellyfish.
this will sound weird but that soup looked kinda good.

Why wouldn't it look delicious. Everything with more natural and fresh ingredients is always going to taste fantastic.
I was always taught that you drop a hot stone into the pot to cook it. The stone is the heat source as it can bring the water to a boil.
Amanda Wolfe just wat I was thinking
Amanda Wolfe whyyyyy
He didnt get rib bones from the forest supermarket
No he begged like the mooch he is
Or the oil that made that sizzle
That meat had grade colour coding on it or did I mis-look?
these geezers are the greatest people on the planet
Bro I live where they filmed this and that river is like 10 minutes from town
Its a bunch of larping burnouts on natgeo. Fake af
mushrooms with that blue oxidation are usually psychedelic XD
Yeah I was wondering
Not always. Boletes don't contain any psilocybin, the blue color comes from the oxidization of a different chemical
I laughed like I ate that mushroom they picked!
Instead of eating stone soup, just get more mushrooms and make mushroom soup.
among all the stones around their feet, he dives into the stream to get one.
I'll never be able to look NatGeo in the eye ever again because of this show.
dude from the thumbnail look like forest troll cooking in the hobbit movie lol
What forest are they in?? Amazing!!
Imagine you're trying to butcher cow and this hobo dude just came out of nowhere from the forest and wouldn't leave, so u had to spare the bones
A joy to watch
The stone they put in the soup was not the same one they grabbed from the river......
Right ! It's like they're not even trying and people eat this up so stupid
Yep. All of the leather they were wearing was pretty much show quality also 😂😂 it’s like a hobbit soap opera
Agree
Best show on the tube right meow. Hands down.
Yah that dude is going to get himself some burgers and a shake, i saw him selling that piece of wood !
Omg when he dove under the branch, I wasn't sure if we has coming back...
These dudes are badass!
I want this show on dvd
Me too
Makes an entire soup and dosent eat it lmao
This would be an exciting educational trip -im a little jealous of them!
Actual footage of my grandparents waking to school
That actually looked not to bad worth a try 🤘
JRE brought me here after the Glenn Villeneuve interview.
I just watched 2 men stick their heads in a tree and yell. Quality
You know that soup taste like a lake
their life looks like so much fun tbh. However i dont think I could eat all the wild insects they eat. But that stew looked so f-ing good.
Miss this show
Why dive for a stone when you're standing on tons of them?
What happened to this show, even though it was fake it was fun to watch. Seems like it was only on for a year or two.
Part2 please the taste test
What a freedom 🙏
Dude what happened to this show I used to love it
Nick didn’t even stay for the soup lmaoo
This so cool! What kind of stone did they cook? I need to know!!😮

Waylon Jennings narrated the Dukes of Hazzard, he died in 2002 so it couldn't be him.

I would totally eat that soup.
People say you can cook down a jock strap for flavor, but that does not mean I would try it.
Looks pretty good not gonna lie but what is the actual point of the stone?..
Anyone know which state or forest this was filmed at? Looks like paradise compared to my showbiz apartment.

You know... I thought they were going to heat up the stone then put it in the soup.
Instead, they just threw it in like an ingredient. Lol
If they were a little shorter they would be hobbits
