Doesn’t he look cool!!! I know they would never do it, but I’d be more likely to buy something like this if it came without fur and looked like this! And thank you so much, it was the most stressful experience of my life and I can’t believe that nothing broke
As a furreal friends collector it did make me kinda sad to see a good condition biscuit skinned but to be real, I'm the only collector I know. Heck this is the only channel that has a fellow adult that appreciates consumer level animatronics! So I can't be mad about it because the sheer amount of furreal friends that ride the Goodwill price drop carousel here in the states and end up in the landfill would probably shock you.
I prefer to get FurReal Friends in bad condition (staining, torn plastic or fur, etc) because I’m going to be removing the outside anyway, but it’s not always possible. I see Biscuit up for sale for a reasonable price often enough to somehow have three, but not often enough to be picky about which ones I get. It’s a shame, but the Butterscotch I customised was literally pulled out of the rubbish, so maybe it evens out haha. It’s really cool that you’re a collector! I think that they’re such fantastic little guys, but there’s certainly no shortage of them floating around at thrift stores. I’ve heard that there’s a LOT in the states, maybe I need to visit one day and see who I can find! I really appreciate this comment, and I’d never ruin something or skin it just to be destructive or for views, it’s all about the customisation 💚
aaaah this feels so bittersweet, as someone who loves collecting vintage toys it's almost painful to see a perfectly intact NIB wonderful toy like this get skinned but it's also so exciting and fun to see how Fetch will turn out! I can't wait to see this little Biscuit get a new life as a fully customized beauty! 😄
I get it 🥲 I collect a few things (not vintage toys) and I promise that I would never mess with a toy for the sake of destroying it. I always try to track down bad condition animatronics (staining, tears in the plastic faces, etc) so that it’s more like restoring them, but every Biscuit I came across at a decent price was in absolute perfect condition 😭 I was so determined to get one with faulty legs and repair him, but I’d have to pay extra (somehow!) Thank you so much for the comment, I’m really excited with how Fetch is turning out, and I hope I can do him justice!
@@tobyhorrorboy that's just how it is isn't it? when you are actively looking for busted up toys only THAT'S when everything you find is NIB/never played with/collector stock, ugh it's such a struggle. I repair and restore g1 mlp toys among other things and it seems like all of the bait and damaged toys that are reasonably priced vanish right when I need them 😅 either way I know you'll do Fetch justice and it's sweet to know that this Biscuit is getting the love he deserves! ☺
I went to a Salvos store yesterday and they had one of these. I had never seen one before and was absolutely fascinated by him. I was amazed at how large he was. I only noticed him because his tail wagged as I walked by. A couple bought him for their grandchild. I'm glad I got to have a play with him and enjoyed him in the store.
That’s so cool! I’m sure the grandchild will love him, and I love that they had him on in the store! He really is a big animatronic (not nearly as big as the FurReal Butterscotch, thankfully)
i just got biscuit for 2 dollars at a yard sale, he was missing his collar and the accessories, so im still looking online for them, also you were the only reason i knew how much biscuit was really worth, so thank you!
@@tobyhorrorboy i also got biscuit in almost perfect condition, the fur is slightly less soft, and there are no bent parts, and im so happy i got him 😁
I really want to make those two! I’m having a bit of a hard time finding a good base toy for Ella in particular, but they’re both always on my mind when I’m animatronic hunting!
I see it! And yesss, one of my friends gave me their FurReal Cookie, and I’m really excited to customise him! Hopefully I’ll be able to do that this year!
Growing up I had an animatronic dog that looked very similar to this that I skinned. I was like ten and it was a boredom inspired project. I wish I ended up doing something with it (I did but Ill get to that part later). I was born in 2004. Id say after about a month of a skinned robot dog with “beedy monkey eyes”, my go to phrase when I was young for any scary character or thing with a rabid chimp face (a great example of this exact expression is the balloon boy figure from the fnaf movie) the game fnaf released, and that was the last straw. I believe around the same time I had recently been diagnosed with adhd so I had my own daytime and nightime pills to help me concentrate on school during the day, and help me fall asleep to counteract the day pills. This led to various audio and visual hallucinations. The thing had been eyeing me down constantly and I had had enough. It had become fnaf 4 up in this piece. I ended up disassembling it with various tools, not for precision but for blunt force. Sorry for wasting your time with my anticlimactic story but thats a fun little memory this video helped me unlock. 3:36
Hey! I’ve been following you ever since the candy mare animatronic that you made from a Butterscotch. I just have to suggest Kota the triceratops to you. Kota is another large animatronic like Butterscotch and was made by the same company Hasbro. He came out after Butterscotch. I just wanted to suggest Kota in case you were interested or could see if there would be a possibility to transform him into something else? No hurt feelings if not! Not only that, I’m just so curious to see what Kota would look like without his fabric. I also have to state there ARE a lot of Kota’s with droopy heads due to a broken neck. Though if you end up with a droopy head Kota there’s is a very eeeasy fix and There is a UA-cam video on how to fix it :)
Firstly, thank you so much, that’s so awesome to hear! Secondly, oh my god Jay what have you done!!! I had no idea that Kota existed and he’s SO cool 😭 (and there’s one in my state that’s not too expensive I don’t think, but I’m not in a position to buy a big expensive animatronic at the moment) I have absolutely no idea what I could make Kota into, but it is now my life’s mission to find one and turn it into something. Thank you so much for telling me about him, I’ll keep an eye out and hopefully get one!
Oh nooo I’m so sorry, that’s awful! I’ve definitely had a few FurReals that I got secondhand that had the same issue. I’m not sure if you’ve still got him, but sometimes you can fix battery acid with lemon juice? I’ve squirted lemons into battery acid before and the animatronic has started working again after that 😅 it doesn’t always work, but sometimes it’ll fix it!
No it’s not that it wasn’t working the batteries died and the acid came through and I thought it was time to let it go I also didnt fell like cleaning but I had him since I was 2 and i thought I’m a teen now and I don’t need it

I’m sorry, I hope you can get one! They’re hard to get in Australia too, but it is possible to find people selling them occasionally. I had to look for months before I found this one. I hope you can find one, they’re a very cool animatronic! I’m customising this one, so I promise I didn’t just cut it up for no reason. 💚
Hi! I’m not totally sure which gear spring you mean sorry? Like the button on the left paw? Or the plastic bit that makes it so that both paws move at the same time? Do you have one that isn’t working properly?
I tried to get one in much worse condition, but the ones Biscuits I found for sale were all in really good condition. He’s cute with the fur, but I genuinely think he’s cuter without it!
shockingly adorable when skinned
