- Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while we wrap gifts together in this 'wrap gifts with me' for christmas 2019! I am wrapping all of my kids' christmas gifts for 2019! ... as I write this I'm overwhelmed with how many more gifts need to be wrapped for everyone else in my family! GAH! I'm not even done christmas shopping yet! Goodness gracious. Hope you guys have a great christmas and had a good time hanging out with me!

As a grandmother of adult grandchildren, I prefer to receive gift cards - a favorite restaurant, grocery store, a generic Visa or MasterCard (my preference), or, if the grandparent is tech savvy, an Amazon card. My favorite is receiving the gift card enclosed with a current family photo (perhaps the first year in a nice 5x7 frame that can sit on a table or hang on the wall, then a photo to fit the frame in the following years). Just a few ‘grandmotherly’ thoughts. 😀🎄💗

My husband wraps the presents, passes them to me and I put the ribbons and bows , tags and I like to put something fancy/ festive on them.

Omg. Story time. So my hubby and I wrapped the gifts. I was on present alert and was going to sleep on the couch to listen for my daughters feet and my hubby goes no I got it. So he slept on the couch right. My daughter came out at 5 in the morning and opened. Every. Single. Gift. And I woke up from my room because I heard her and I woke my husband up and hes like omg 😂😂😂😂😂

My oldest daughter once opened every present one year
We normally have a huge garbage bag to throw the wrapping paper in as we open them. So there isnt a mess or anything.

We open them all and either in the middle or after my dad picks it all up!

I have a wrapping tradition! For the last 10 (this is 11) years I have gone over to my best friend’s house on Christmas Eve and after her kids go to bed I help her wrap all her gifts. And yeah, we drink some. LOL I don’t have a special process for wrapping my own gifts. It varies depending on how much time I have.
I agree, I liked Home Alone 2 best also! I enjoy How the Grinch Stole Christmas, It’s a Wonderful Life, Elf, The Spirit of Christmas, Love Actually and even some of those “I’m not sure this is really a Christmas movie” type movies like The Holiday, and Last Holiday (Queen Latifa).
I find my Grandma incredibly hard to shop for. She’s 92 - she needs nothing. This year I bought a nice throw blanket. She probably won’t use it. 😂

She is a very professional wrapper and always adds ribbons and bows and tags. And I’m like, I don’t have time for that!!😂😂
3 pieces!? I use that many on just 1 corner 😂 Typically the first gift I wrap looks great, then every gift that follows goes downhill as I lose patience.

I was amazed at how many presents she wrapped in an hour. I'm so particular, it takes forever. I literally wrapped two presents in an hour last night. She's right though. They're for a three year old. So why should I care how pretty they are? But I can't help it! I also try to use as few pieces of tape as I can, but rarely do I get as low as just three pieces.

My Christmas movie that I HAVE to watch every year is a Christmas Carol w/George C Scott. We used to watch it every Christmas eve with my father growing up. He's been gone for almost 18 years and I still watch it and think of him.
when you wrapped wentworth's second present and were talking about being delicate and then ripping the paper I lost it. Like full on giggle fit with tears. It could be that its 4am and I have not slept yet but that killed me.

Good gift for grandparents is to pay for their newspaper subscription for the next year. The newspaper office gave us a certificate that I would wrap along with a nice container of their favorite coffee and/or snacks

We all go to Grandmas to wrap gifts. The kiddos stay home with their Dads, and the ladies have a wrapping day😊 hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

I always gave my Grandma practical gifts. She loved grocery store gift cards, gas cards, coffee gift cards, pajamas, and her favorite snacks (It never failed to make her smile). She’s the only Grandparent, I was ever able to meet and was my very best friend.

My husband's grandma turns 90 this Christmas! We are making the two and a half hour drive to see her this year.

Same! When I was a kid me and my 5 brothers and sisters would sleep in the same room with the Christmas Story playing all night long! We did that up until everyone moved out.. Miss those traditions though!♡
My parents would do one wrapping paper for each of us and also would put a number on the tag so they know what gift was what before we would open it. My mom would always look at the last and pick which number to open first
Ahhh kim this was me on Tuesday when I was wrapping presents for three kids! 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ my toddler was napping so I got it all accomplished in 2 hours. And damn the odd shaped boxes/toys.

My grandma loved the warm electrical blankets or smaller ones that keep their legs and feet cozy, ornaments, piyamas, printed photographs for their albums and sleepovers!

I'm impressed with your gift wrapping speed. I'm too much of a perfectionist (and by no means a pro wrapper) so it takes me about an hour to do one!
OMG, same. I just commented that I did two last night, and it took an hour. But those were both pretty easy ones. They still don't look that great. I'm thinking about redoing the one, if I have time. IDK y I care if they look good or not, they're for my three year old. She's not going to care.

I completely agree with you about Home Alone. Part 2 is the best! Also, watched part 1 with my kids the other day. When the older brother is being mean, my 5 year old son looked at me and innocently asked, "What's an a$$?" 🤦♀️ I laughed SO hard hahaha! I told him it was a not so nice way of saying butt lol.

When I was a kid I would always wrap gifts to help out and it was always my favorite part of the year.
Make sure you get screen protectors also. Keeps the screen in place when they break it, because they will. Lol

A big gift I got growing up that I loved most was a set of golf clubs. My Dad bought me my own girl’s set when I was a teenager and I still have them at 25 ❤️

I've been wrapping my own Chistmas gifts for years. When my husband still worked for NYPD, he never had time to shop. He gave me the green light to get my own gifts. They've been the best gifts I've ever gotten from him! He laughs whenever I open a gift and act surprised and thank him :)

I am gift wrapping right along with you! We don't use different paper for each child, but we do use different paper for the "from Santa" gifts and keep it hidden from our 2 kids the rest of the year. Love your channel so much! Very inspiring for me for organizing, cleaning and cooking!
I have 24 nieces and nephews with just my family. We don’t buy for everyone last year we did a name draw for all the kids.
One year I gave my grandparents a heated throw blanket and last year I gave them flannel sheets. They always love my practical gifts.😁

We never had any game consoles growing up. So the year the WII came out we got one! I was so excited, but before I got my turn I came down the stairs and skidded a step before I got to the floor. So I ended up getting a surprise ER visit and crutches to go with my WII. It also snowed that year and I couldn’t enjoy it because of my injury 😑

I'm one of those people who is done with my holiday shopping already. We have such a large family that I have to start early. There are quite a few on each side of our family. I have everyone done except for my husband and two newest in-laws, and two work friends. I'll be done by the end of this month. lol
