Credit where credit is due - Shane Beamer is coaching a winning 1st year season at SC. I don't think even Spurrier or Holtz pulled that off. They also get Frank's input for free. He has to enjoy it over watching his Hokies implode under Fuente.
@@jawjagrrl Spurrier was 7-5 his first year. So he's on pace to maybe hit the same mark. That being said, that is NOT a good SC football team. They have zero quality wins. There's no excuse for UF losing to SC, let alone by that much when they clearly have WAY more talent.

UF has vastly more resources at their disposal, yet Mullen has this team playing down to everyone's level. Upsets happen, that's a part of college football. Dalcourt Went out early. The announcers were making a big deal over how they had to shift players around on the line. I did not think at the time it would make as big a difference as it looked like it might have.

That O line needs definite work. Can't protect the quarterback (who holds the ball way too long to begin with when they do protect), can't establish a running game, barely picks up the blitz. They face a team with top tier corners in man coverage and blitz and it's curtains for the passing game too. They need to mesh before we get where we need to be. But still, Roll Tide!
