- There were seven tribes who had yet to receive their land allotments, and Joshua challenged them to occupy what God had given them. In this message, we learn about the allotments given to the remaining tribes, including the special cities given to the Levites.
This teaching is from our series 06 Joshua - 2017 with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Albuquerque.
Such a valuable tool you are Pastor Skip. I was so confused by these few chapters, and once again you helped me sort them out. Thank you.
Wow! and Thank you had to watch this video twice because this part of the bible is hard to read and understand you make it more learnable/fun. I love the way God enlight you Pastor Skip with his word! I always feel so good and closer to God after I watch this video! Thank you, Jesus, for all you love and your people! Heaven on earth is found in the bible that for sure! I am at peace. Thank you, Pastor Skip! P.s The Map was very helpful!

Thank you for another excellent Bible study today1
Thank you Pst. Skip for the excellent Bible study. Tc n God Bless. Shalom. 🙏
Thanks Pastor Skip - I especially liked the way you started the teaching talking about David and Psalm 8 and our place in the universe. Being made in the image of God we are unique creatures in that we can reflect on God and meditate on Him and worship Him. The fact that God sent His only begotten Son into the world to die for our sin and give us the gift of eternal life means that in His eyes the human soul is more valuable than galaxies of stars. To look up at the night sky and behold the universe and then to recognize that the creator of that took on human flesh and walked on the earth staggers the mind. But then with God why would we expect anything less?! Praise our God and the Lord Jesus Christ!
Joshua 21:44 suggests that the Israelites had completely conquered the Caananites. Yet various other passages throughout Joshua allude to the fact that the Israelites were unable to conquer or dislodge the Caananites from specific cities or towns. Am I missing something here? This seems like a contradiction... Also, I thought the point was that God wanted all those who possessed the land before the Israelites to be utterly destroyed? Why then would God allow certain pockets to remain? I absolutely love this series and pastor Skip is brilliant to listen to. As a new Christian I've learnt so much more than I could have imagined, thank you so much 👍

Hi Adz, have you been following Skips teaching from the beginning of Joshua or have you just listened to this one? If you go back to the beginning all your questions will be answered.
Thank you so much for your teaching
Thank you pastor
I am so blessed .
Very good teaching!
Thank you so much Pastor Skip, wonderful teaching. However I noticed that as we look at Genesis 49 I am unable to see a blessing for Asher, why is that please? I just like to get things right in my head and understand the Scriptures. Thank you again for your wonderful teaching.
Hi Margaret, i saw this in Genesis 49 (Asher: He shall yield royal dainties.
20 “Asher's food will be rich; he will provide delicacies fit for a king.) Jacob during his deathbed
Asher was given rich seacoast area N of Mount Carmel....the blessing states Ashers food will be rich. he will provide delicacies fit for a king....Gen. 49:20
Wow
Skip, why do you convert the 144,000 Israelis ( 12 tribes of Israel ) into suddenly all Jews? When Jews is only 1 of the tribes?
The passage you are referring to is Revelation 7.
First, the “sealing” of the 144,000 was done by God via His angels.
Revelation 7:2-3
2 Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: 3 “Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.”
Second, Verse 4 specifically declares the exact identity of those being sealed.
Revelation 7:4 Then heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel.
Third, Verses 5-8 further specifically define the breakdown of those comprising the 144,000 as coming from specific tribes of Israel.
Revelation 7:5-8
5 From the tribe of Judah 12,000 were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben 12,000, from the tribe of Gad 12,000, 6 from the tribe of Asher 12,000, from the tribe of Naphtali 12,000, from the tribe of Manasseh 12,000, 7 from the tribe of Simeon 12,000, from the tribe of Levi 12,000, from the tribe of Issachar 12,000, 8 from the tribe of Zebulun 12,000, from the tribe of Joseph 12,000, from the tribe of Benjamin 12,000.
These Biblical facts are simple: the 144,000 are of Jews.
