    I can only imagine how terrifying it would be to be on that beach with tide coming in. You forget where you went in and its going to get hairy real quick... assuming a bear does not eat you first. Sea life is pretty cool. Those bears were terrifyingly cute.

    Great video. Love the history. The critically acclaimed Steven Spielberg movie '1941' gives a historical perspective of events of WW2 along the west coast. Wiki the Zoot Suit Riots of LA. as well as the Ellwood refinery attack. The trailers and the movie should make a few smiles.
    Mark Felton did a great video on incendiary balloons during WW2 to match the plane attack.
    The Bears were a nice touch. Lots of memories made. It was definitely a Grand Adventure!

    Deep in the Redwood forest of California is a little diner that serves up great Sasquatch. They cook up the best Sasquatch
    burger I have ever had. The diner always serves up the best freshest Sasquatch steaks & burgers around. The cook
    likes to use shoulder altho he says rump too is a prime cut.

    That is a great area and you did a great job bringing it to the screen. I thought it was fun that the road (I think it was the scenic highway but might have been 101) would have redwoods that stuck out into the roadway.

    • @GrandAdventure
      @GrandAdventure  Рік тому +1

      Yep Bill, both 101 and the Scenic Route through the State Park have them jutting out into the shoulder. Especially on 101, driving through there at the speed limit with the narrow lanes and curves is sure "sporting," to say the least. Happy to hear that you enjoyed this one, thank you for your kind words!

    We stayed up the road at Mystic RV park. Nice little park with a store. Just down the road from “Trees of Mystery”
    This one you stayed at was closed due to COVID when we were there.
    In Crescent City there is Jedediah Smith Redwoods and a real cool one lane dirt road that you drive through called “Howland Hill Road”.
    Fern Canyon is a cool hike. There was hardly anyone there when we were there. It can be tedious hiking up this canyon; climbing over logs and rocks.
    Glad you are enjoying this coast.

    How are you dealing with National Parks and Federal lands restrictions and permits on videotaping for monetized social media sites? And the Drone?

    • @GrandAdventure
      @GrandAdventure  Рік тому

      Well, obviously we don't use the drone inside National Parks, and abide by all flight restrictions. Redwood National & State Parks is a unique situation, wherein it's actually a conglomeration of jointly managed state parks. In a situation like that, given that it's technically state park land, and I'm just one guy with a camera I'll take my chances. Eventually this will play out that the NPS won't apply the same standards to a UA-camr with a camera as apply to a large, commercial film crew.

    • @DIZEMANPHOTO
      @DIZEMANPHOTO Рік тому

      @@GrandAdventure I remember when the NPS had sense enough to know the difference between big production filming/video and left small footprint photogs and videographers alone, but lately they have gone insane with their No Monetization policy. I am not monetized anywhere on any social media platform, but they have threatened me several times, once photo photographing my son and his fiancé at Valley of Fire. Said my camera was too professional to be an amateur. While photographing two Donkeys, me on Whiskey Pete's Casino parking lot, they on he dry lake bed nearby, a Nevada Highway Patrol officer told me if I did not stop photographing them, he would arrest me. I told him I was shooting from private property at Donkeys on BLM Land, but that just made him mad and he literally went psycho for a moment yelling at me. I left to avoid him throwing my camera gear in his trunk. Once at Lake Mead National Recreation Area, I was threatened with a fine for breaking out my tripod. They've just gone nuts with this nonsense. dizeman.com Thanks for your timely response!
