- This is a video walking tour of the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, prior to the LSU vs. UCLA college football game on September 4, 2021. Opened in October 1922, the Rose Bowl is one of the most famous venues in sporting history. With a capacity of 92,542, it is the 16th-largest stadium in the world. The Rose Bowl has hosted five Super Bowls and every Rose Bowl game since January 1, 1923. In 2007, Sports Illustrated named the Rose Bowl the number one venue in all of college sports. There’s something about this stadium that I just love
Amen to that. It's a magical place.
For me Rose Bowl will always be associated with fond memories of the past and especially the World Cup final of 1994 and the nostalgia of it. Even though it was a heartbreak for my team of preference-Italy, it pleases me to see that it still stands true to its past and has not changed much. I hope I make it one day and visit LA just to get a glimpse of that magnificent historic landmark.

I've always wanted to attend the Rose Bowl game and will soon.
It's hard to believe people sat in this stadium and watched the Cowboys torch the Bills in Superbowl 27.....with no seat backs in a large portion of the stadium. Just a plain ol bench. That would never fly in today's modern standards 😆.
But renovate and bring the Superbowl back!!
I highly recommend it! Yes, the stadium is outdated, but that's part of the charm. Fenway Park is the same way. Notre Dame Stadium was that way, as well, but they've updated it.

It's old, but that's the charm of it (they say). Fenway Park is the same--old, dirty, and uncomfortable, but charming and full of history.
