We live in southeastern Illinois on a 41 acre homestead. We just finished building our log cabin in 2018. Now we are focused on trying to grow our own food and raise livestock. Follow us on our journey we continue to develop our homestead and farm, while becoming more self sufficient.

I really don't understand why you ONLY have 153k subscribers. It's my opinion that Just a Few Acres and your channel is for certain the Best channels.
I have been following for several years now and haven't missed a video. I appreciate the content you put together. Keep it coming 🤠
Agree 100% So informative, no fluff or acting dramatics. Very Real people really living and achieving their dreams. 💕💕🎶🎶
Couldn’t agree more. Two of the nicest, down to earth people I’ve ever come across. They tell it the way it is, warts and all.
Can't agree more, ya have a great Channel, what part of Illinois are ya in
You're definitely gonna need a magnet 😊
Clean the air filter off after today! haha another great video!
I can't believe how clean that fencing came out with all that brush that was in there originally. Perfect for the scrap yard now
Hey! Congratulations you didn’t break anything in this video. “Sorry” I just had to say it. Have an awesome day and week.
Just waiting for the slow tire leaks .
That's why I like Evans videos, he's not afraid to show when he makes a mistake - it's an honest channel without all the mistakes edited out. Keep up the great work you two, best wishes from England UK
If possible can we have longer videos. I enjoy your videos so much.
You two have got your property looking a lot better!😊
All your hard work is really showing.
I could hear a video coming soon.
Ford F150 exhaust manifolds and gaskets
Another brush fire please ? And nothing broken 😂😂 great job😂
The puller is really looking useful. Let us know if the scrap yard took the fence.
Something to consider is that an Elevated tank is gravity flow and a skid tank requires a pump.
That brush pulling attachment is absolutely amazing!! Oh my goodness, I love to watch you using that to clear out unwanted brush, shrubs, trees etc. Wowza, it's fantastic.
After 40 years of clearing our property by manual labor, lol, it's just awesome to see the time and work it saves you!! ❤😊❤ love the grapple too!!
Great job
I noticed there wasn't any shaking of the roots, a lot of dirt in them that could go back in the ground. Just a thought
I just love watching your videos. You make me feel like I am part of your family. THANK YOU FOR THAT.
I don't know what that tree puller attachment costs, but dang it sure looks worth every penny! Best part is that you didn't buy it!
I guess it probably had to be done. However, it was a good, natural, privacy fence between the road and the house.
Great job, greetings from Barcelona!
Evan, that area you cleaned out looks totally different and that post puller does a great job.
That looks like fun
Things are looking great!💕💕
Man I wish my little John Deere had 3rd function hydraulics I could spend weeks with one of those brush pullers.
Wow 😊 TYM made light work of those chores on the homestead.
Fun video!
What a clever idea using the bale spear to load up the wire Evan. Doing a great job cleaning up the property. Looks good.
That diesel tank restoration looks like a fun project. 👍👍💚
Good job, Evan
This was a really satisfying video to watch. 😁
Nothing like having the right tool to do the job!
thx for sharing
Your propertys really looking nice..
Looks great and getting that done must be so satisfying great job awesome video take care
your Property wil be beautiful Evan ,Reb , And another Fire you wil have it clean in no time .
Love watching that fascinating tree pulling tool….don’t you need to get one..LOL 😜😜😜
Man, it is looking so good ! I LOVE YOU GUYS !! 🥰 🥰
Corral was looking good in background shot from burn pile. Nice video
Thanks for the video and for the all the channel content. I very much enjoy watching the updates and all the various projects that are ongoing. Thank you...
Looks like clearing all the brush and brambles would be so satisfying.
Hey Evan you need a Kato mini excavator! Need to talk to Daniel or Nathan. That would be an awesome addition to your farm. The track loader would be nice too. Your channel is getting big enough now that those folks should take you serious! Hope someone will offer you something like that. You deserve it. Thanks for the awesome videos. Lots of hard work!!!
Wouldn’t that be redundant with the backhoe for the tractor?
Property is looking great!
That tree/post puller has already paid for itself. thanks.
Unfortunately I believe it is borrowed, but it is certainly an attachment Evan should consider purchasing.
Really looking good Evan
As kid helped clean up fence rows. A lot of hard work but looks nice at the end! Enjoy your videos!
Great job thanks for the video
Another great video. It is looking way better. Thank you for sharing.
Having done hundreds of hours of the exact same kind of clean up work with fencing, the hay spear is definitely a good choice. A grapple is most definitely a PITA because the fencing gets all tangled up in it. It only took me a couple of hours of fighting that before I made myself an attachment that has double spears on it spaced about 3' apart. It's easy to get a BIG pile of wadded up fencing with it and keep it from rotating around if the bulk of the weight is above the spear, like it will do on a single spear.
A reall clean-up project.........it must feel rewarding to have it look so much better. That tree puller is worth its weight in trees in the burn pile for sure.
Looks really good! Will be nice!
Your property is looking nice. Using the pole attachment for wire pick up was smart. I bet the recycler compacts it to a one cubic yard size. 🙂 👍👍👍
Hay Evan that's an amazing pice of equipment you have there can't believe how easy it rips the trees out of the ground thank you for sharing blessings to you and your family
Wow, Evan! That’s a big pile of wire! What a big change! Looks awesome. Will we get another brush fire video? I love them.
Thanks Evan
Mate as always great video and hope you and your family are doing well and staying safe and your families and friends thanks again for sharing your experience.
try using the manure forks to stir/sift the burn pile coals and unburnt wood to the top.
Great job Evan and Rebecca, you two do it up really good and your place shows the improvements. Looking forward to another fencing job. . Stay safe and keep up the great videos. Fred.
Nice results! I was a little surprised that the ball of wire was so hard to mash flat, but maybe it’s to be expected, as much as you had balled up. Huge ball too. Hope the metal recycler takes it for you.
I believe I would mount that tank on a trailer so I could take it to fill up when needed, I have a 150 gallon diesel tank that I used that way
Awesome job cleaning up and clearing out the briar bushes, always makes a place look better, in my opinion. I like how that tree puller works, wish I had one, for multi flora and olive bushes. I like what your doing, have a great week.
The piled up fence looks like a giant-sized brillo pad!😆
Area by area, you guys make so much progress. 💕💕🎶🎶
Another of my favorite kind of video.
The area you cleared looks nice.
Take some of the brush you pulled out with dirt still on it, pick it up as high as you can with the tractor and drop it a few times to knock most of the dirt off so when you burn it, it will burn better.
That hydraulic tree puller works like a charm. If you have to break up that concrete maybe some of that can go in those holes. You are doing a great job moving forward! Thanks for sharing. Are you seeing any signs of fish in the pond?
That puller works great. Especially on thos briar bushes. Property is looking great sir.
You have no idea how sad I am when your videos end 😢
I figured the T654 would be a beast with the tree puller. I bet that was satisfying.
The sun is setting on another great video. All the best 🇬🇧.
As a plan B, if the diesel tank is too rusted or bad to use, you can always make a great smoker out of it!!!
I would very much like to see the brush-cleaned area as an „overlock“. Thank you!
I don't think there is anything more satisfying than burning a brush pile that's full of sticker and thorn bushes. I've pulled those things down growing 25 ft up in trees. Horrible things.
You did an amazing job dealing with the woven wire fence and clearing out the brush and briars. That tree puller; is am amazing attachment complemented by your expertise with the tractor.
I liked watching your fabrication projects, I really think you could fabricate a tree puller. That is if you have the time and use for one in the future. Love your channel.
That brush hog is so awesome to watch. Chips brush to the ground in seconds! I'm surprised you didn't shake the dirt off those roots as you pulled them up. So much soil lost, but you will prob need to backfill anyway. After you install your fence, have you and Rebekah decided if you want to plant a living privacy screen inside the fence along the road? Arborvitae are low to no maintenance and make great windbreaks. Your property is looking very tidy!
I like the way you handle your tool, (bucket scoop)😉
Great Job Evan, on getting stuff done and using the pole puller to get those bush up and to a wood pile.
Leave the tank on the stand, gravity feed, no pump needed.😊
Great job looking great love your videos thank you
Nice. I've got a load of scrap ready to go to the yard tomorrow.
The aerator on floor of the pond will stir up more nutrients in the water and thus algae and duckweed blooms. Set the aerator suspended in the water
That was slick getting that wire done. Should you sprinkler that trailer. Serious brier brushes. Under that brush are those drainage concrete.
Yes burn an other one. Loving this. And cleaned that area.
Another good video. Thanks for sharing.
Everything is looking good
Evan, at 4:33 looks like your F150 will need a manifold gasket job soon.
Hello Evan smart idea using the bale. spear. Scrap yard should take wire no problem its tin not worth much but something. Enjoyed your video have a great day.
I am new to the channel. Been a subscriber a couple of months. Love the channel. Been going back watching from the beginning. What got me started was the fencing videos. Im hooked. Cant wait to watch what happens week to week. Thanks for the channel.
Got to run around with a magnet for post staples to avoid flats.
I am going to get that small tree puller. It works great!
Great Video. We have the same fuel tank. Keep all the metal off of it. It great for welding projects.
Great video Evan.😊
Never thought you could compress that old fence wire so well. Thank you for sharing.
*cough *cough, thanks for that. 🤣A bit smokey. You could add a small tank on the front of the fuel tank and a neck. a lick of paint and some ears. it would make a great cow overlooking the entrance to your homestead. 🥰
if you make a hole to bury the ash. you could scrape off the topsoil. dig a hole and use that dirt to fill in your new holes by the fuel tank. , push the ash in the hole and cover with topsoil. seems like that would fix all the dirt and ash issues.
Hi something you may want to find out is i have heard is if you leave staples on the ground your live stock may eat them when grazing . and will kill them where you burnt your fence post. check it out to be safe . dave
Hay spear was a great 💡 idea. That would have taken days by hand.
❤️👍👍👍
Good morning I just saw a video on cutting saddles on pipes using a chop saw. It was on Luthi Ranch video and the cuts matched up with little to nothing spacing
He does pipe fencing and gates may give you some idea
Wow, we've been watching as new subscribers. YOUs rich all them new looking expensive gates. Maybe you repaired and repainted. I dunno. Best to ya.
I have you to thank for those gates. Revenue from people watching is what funds the improvements.
If you scroll through his playlist, he does welding pipe fencing, may help you out
Luthi Ranch saddle and pipe fessing
I would imagine the tank is quite rusty on the inside. Even putting filters on you wouldn't get them out
👍👍❤
