Really nice acoustic panels and studio! Keep rolling.👌
Just did acoustic treatment for our studio so I know the feeling. Feels good.
Right? Every day I'm in there and just smile. It's so nice to have a room with virtually no echo and balanced frequencies. I'm such an audio geek 😂

No overkill at all, its just the right amount of absorption for this room. Thanks for this video.
Bought a $100 Gazebo / Pergola (200cm x 200cm) and placed it in my basement on a noise absorbing rug. I left the outside "walls" off and placed moving blankets on all five sides. Got myself a 10M led strip for the inside and some bass traps in the corners and foam on the inside off the blankets. Super easy set-up for recording with my D18 and singing at the same time straight into my iPhone using the Roland Go Pro mix. Call me cheap but I just love my little "tent" inside my basement. Nice and cozy. Love your channel man!!
Sweet!
If it makes wives quieter, I'm going to treat every room in the house!
Underrated comment
Wow- Grat work, greetings from México.
The 3M Claw is excellent for hanging panels
Really appreciated the energy in this video, very inspiring. I finally got my Acoustic Fields panels (so excited), so am mounting my acoustic clouds above the recording area like you have (thank you!) 😃
Enjoy that and a good watch. I've been using my panels to build a movable vocal booth today.
12:16 looks like he's ready for 2020 lol.... oh man
Sounds good man
Thanks Chad!
Wow! Awesome sound quality difference for sure! For a solid at home studio, definitely worth it but I’ve avoided added anything living in an apartment that I know I’ll move from. So dynamic mics will have to do for me.
Ahhh so here's the beauty: Each of them goes up with just a nail or two. Easily transferrable to a new place! Especially the impression panels. You'll see lots more about each specific piece in the next video. Thanks for watching Diana!
Also, the next video will show you a bunch of free ways to improve your sound without any acoustic treatment. And yes, dynamic mics are a very good idea.
@@brianmillerspeaks That's great to know! That was the biggest hindrance in putting anything up because I didn't want to drill too much into the walls (some a cement walls in my office) and then have to go through a ton when it comes time to move. But if it's just a simple setup then it'd be worth it for sure!
14:36 WORLD CLASS MEME RIGHT THERE
An awesome vlog Brian. 😁 👌
I have to agree that the end result definitely looks sexy. 😉
Cheers! 🍻
Thanks, Ben!
This company is located in the UK and have really cool products www.goldnhouracoustic.com/
dude! get those monitors decoupled immediately ! :) the foam aint good enough your whole desk will be resonating. I just bought the iso acoustics ISO 200's and theyre great. quite noticable. do you use sonarworks ? its also pretty damn amazing. with all your treatment i bet you could really get to the next level up with the iso stands and some room eq. thanks for the video man!!
ua-cam.com/video/6G4HF6wJG38/v-deo.html check this video out. the demo the old guy does blew me away. crazyyyy how resonant things are

Brian Miller -That was great to watch!! I am just in the process of purchasing acoustic treatment for my home studio. However, that purple you used is exactly the colour I am looking for and is in keeping with my current colour scheme (Purple and charcoal)What is exact name of that colour please? As I cannot seem to find it on there co.uk website! Many thanks in advance.
This video was entertaining asf 😄👍
Sure looks good.
Nice! Love the colors. What are the dimensions of your room?
About 16x16. Pretty big for a spare bedroom. Lucky to have a big home studio.
@@brianmillerspeaks That's a really nice size for sure. Cheers.

Great work awesome video I actually purchased my base traps from GIK acoustics
They're so good, right?
That’s really not a bad price for all that. I’m building a better voice over booth and wondered if you’d recommend these panels for maybe 2 or 3 sides and a top? Thanks for sharing this.
Have you watched Booth Junkie’s channel on building voice over booths? Mike Delgaudio does a great job explaining how to do it for yourself.
@@brianmillerspeaks I have. Weighing the 2 options of building from scratch or just buying some panels and putting them together. I really already have a space I’ve used for years but simply want to knock down some new reflections since I’ve moved some stuff around. Anyway, thanks for sharing the video. :)
The GIK Acoustics stuff really isn't that expensive for the convenience and being able to personalize via colors and patterns. Good luck!
Nice video! What kind of camera do you use? Looks great!
That was the Canon M6 Mark I mostly with the 11-22mm and 22mm f2: amzn.to/3et4smm

What type of curtains are those? I have a big window to my left on my setup and trying to figure out best way to deal with it.

Cool video, what was the light that you used for filming

This is a fun video, but why didn’t you elevate your monitor to be at ear height before mounting the absorption unit behind them? That would give you much more accurate sound. :)
It's a good point. Believe it or not, I've got them angled directly at my ears. And I adjust the height of my chair when mixing to sit at just the right position.
@@brianmillerspeaks ok, but just make sure you aren’t creating ergonomic issues by adjusting your chair to match the speaker placement rather than having the chair set to your body and then the speakers set to your ear. I mean you can easily move the backing absorbers to be slightly higher. Trust me, you don’t want to develop physical issues if you have bad ergonomics especially if you are self employed :) and enjoy your new room. I make techno and I’m looking at getting the tri-traps since I have really serious bass resonance issues
Is the gik panels 2 inch or 4 inch
4" is the minimum you want for bass absorption.
@@brianmillerspeaks appreciate the info
You look like Tai Lopez!
@8:39 Story of my life
Of course, more than $1000 dolars. I’m gonna make something cooler and equal in efficiency with less than $200
Can't wait to see it!
When your acoustic panels cost four times the speakers.
They should. 90% of your budget should go to acoustic treatment if you care about your audio. Without a balanced room, the most expensive speakers are useless. They'll just lie to your ears.
