Great name for this! 😉
Haha! Indeed 😀
I LOVE my pendant! Sandy, you are just so talented. I am so sorry I was in Disneyland when you were trying to ask me questions about what I wanted. I really don't know how to use my phone like I use my computer to communicate and receive pictures. I am such a dinosaur! Anyway, you did a great job deducing what it was I trying to communicate. Thank you so much! I will treasure it always!
Gosh, Lila, no need to apologize for being at Disneyland! 😀 I’m so glad you like your necklace, it was my pleasure to make it for you.
Love the purple 💜 thanks for sharing
You are welcome. Happy creating!
Very pretty, thank you
Thank you, Leona, glad you like it!
Great tutorial!
Thank you, Cate!
Wonderful Video! Interesting on my clay table is mokume game and I just purchase more foam and sandpaper to make more sanding tools! Thank you!
You are welcome, hope you found some helpful tips in the video. 😀Happy creating, Ramona!
Hermosa
Gracias!
for shine while baking,, i have noticed that if i use say , a well polished metal spoon, or even a heat tolerant glass ,i can get things shiny right out of the oven,, but if your having to do trimming or such it will of course disappear. it needs to be popped off a form though before its completely cold. if the form is metal though have been able to freeze it if it sticks & it will usually come off then.
Thanks for the tips, Tialisa!
@@SandyHuntress i hope they help
Hi Sandy I love the donut one, it looks very snazzy and beautiful,, I have plain gemstone donuts that would look great with this idea,, and mabey my magatama Toni seed beads I have them in blue purple purple with blue centers,as I don't have sari silk which would look lovely with them ,great video thanks👍🌺🌷🏵🌹
You are welcome. Happy creating, Angela!
@@SandyHuntress thanks Sandy the wording goes a little funny sometimes when typing auto correct goes wrong it was supposed to read toho not Toni !!!! There lovely dear beads got them from Poland bulk a good while ago, huge bags of them basically like a pint mug of them as I can't remember the weight of them but should give you an idea I have garnet gemstone ones too and some others not bought anything for a while now so I'm making do with what I have,, I have some colored wire that would made good head and eye pins ends can be pinched with plyers, a little glue then bead dryer and the excess cut and filed off so you see the bead not where it was pinched with the plyers, can make great bails to not got to that yet though, thanks again got the myself and my husband got the flu and my oldest son so not up to doing anything at the moment I did do air dry blossoms with my cutters in baby pink and lilac embossed them and used PVA glu to varnish them added dangles all around them on one and previous very small cup flowers like the ombre ,in between loved the way it looked, I be tryed looking for that video of where you make the ombre bracelet can't find it,it's so beautiful.🌹🏵🏵🌷🌺🌺👍👍👍👍💐😘
Hi Sandy do you have a video of how you do the donut ,,it's the beading I would like to see how you work the seed beads around the donut with the bead mid way up, if you do would you let me know, it's with real Lace agate donuts ,,they are beautifully marbled back and front, and want to use the purple blue centered seed beads with it, as they look almost fluorescent!!! I do however have an old brown dress that looks like sari silk but isent,,might work thankyou for any info on that Sandy.😘💐🌺🌷🏵🌹🐈
@@angelabarton2551 The ombré flower bracelet is not a UA-cam video, but a PDF tutorial in my Etsy shop: www.etsy.com/listing/658723275/ombre-flowers-bracelet-downloadable-pdf
@@angelabarton2551 Hi Angela, I have a video class all about different ways to string doughnut pendants, including this one. www.etsy.com/listing/689907052/delicious-donuts-in-polymer-clay
I have been using the thick side of cutters, keys and coins to get bigger lines. It seems to make a line with slight lacing on the edge.
Good thinking to try the other side of cutters. I love the idea of getting textures with coins and keys, very clever! ❤️👍
Thanks for the video. Question. Do you have to put something over the silver patina that you put on the edges and back? I have another brand and there is no directions supplied. Whatever you do or suggest would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Edwin, Thanks for letting me know you like the video. I rarely use finishes or sealers on my pieces. Especially on something like acrylic paint, which should be just fine as it is.
Since polymer is a plastic, it doesn't need sealing. What sometimes needs protection are the things we put ON the polymer, like mica powders.
If you want to learn more about sealers and finishes on polymer, I recommend you check out the Blue Bottle Tree website. She has filled it with excellent info.
Happy creating!
I have a vase I am trying to copy the look of to cover a candle jar with, is there a way I can give you a pic and you could advise on the best technique? I am brand new to clay. Thanks
Hi Stephanie, You can email a photo to sandysewin "at" gmail.com. I can't promise I'll be able to help, but I'm always up for a challenge. :-)
I got easy thin slices by chilling the clay in the fridge for a half hour.
Thanks for the tip, Penny! 🙂
I think you did not condition your clay that’s why it broke to parts. I didn’t expect this from you.
You know, I just re-watched the entire video because of your comment and have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Nothing broke or fell into parts. But even if it had, we all do make mistakes sometimes.
