  • A basic review of the Lume Cube Studio Panel Lighting Kit. I’ve been using these lights for the last several months, testing them in the field with clients as well as at home in my apartment bedroom/UA-cam studio. This review is everything I like about the Lume Cube Studio Panel after four months with them, as well as everything I hope they fix in the future! This is also the first video I’ve edited using Adobe Premiere Pro (I am a Final Cut Pro user), so it was a fun challenge to put together!

These would be nice if they had them when I was in school. The light kits were so heavy! I hated lugging them back and forth from the dorms and the cage. These are definitely in my shopping cart now!

They’re super convenient! I love being able to throw them in a backpack and go without lugging heavy equipment around! I hope you get them and I hope they serve you well! 🙏🏼

I'd prefer to not have charging brick bundled, but have Type-C on them instead. Anything but Type-C for charging is a crime.

Maybe it’s something they’ll consider on the updated version!

@@rivvidproductions I sure hope they would. I hate carrying around crap power bricks that are only useful to one device almost as much as I hate paying for them.

Thanks! They’ve been a great part of my kit. I’ll probably do another video or a short on them in the near future

How do you think these compare to the Dazzne D50 panel lights?
The Lume Cube set is $349.99 and the Dazzne D50 panel set sells for $241.99 on Amazon, a difference of $108.00. Is spending the extra money for the Lume Cube worth it in your opinion, or no?
I’m trying to decide between the two panel
lights as they both have remotes. Yet the Dazzne doesn’t come with the batteries included like the Lume Cube does.
    Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.

Honestly, I hadn’t heard of the Dazzne lights before. But after a quick look, the Lume Cube lights can go cooler (2700K vs 3000K) but the Dazzne lights can go up to 8000K (vs Lume Cube’s 7500).
The Dazzne also have some pre-built scenes like lighting, tv, etc. and they claim to be brighter at .5 meters. It’s also a few inches larger than the Lume Cube. The only downside I can see is the external batteries.
But if that isn’t an issue for you, then for the money I’d say the Dazzne lights would do well in a studio environment, or with minimal travel. I travel constantly so the smaller size of the Lume Cube panels is a bonus for me.
      Hope this helps!

@@rivvidproductions That does help! Thank you.
I plan to use the panel lights inside my home mainly for creating video content to help promote my practice on my social media platforms, so I’ve been looking at lighting options that won’t take up a huge amount of space.
      Thanks again for your help!

Happy to help!! Dazzne would definitely be a viable option! Good luck!

@RivVid Productions I really have to compliment you on this video, it was awesome. I’m on the fence about what lights to buy. I’m a mobile creator, working for a hospital where I have to interview doctors. I just bought the Amaran P60c. Great light, insanely bright and RGB. However, I still am drawn to the portability of your setup. i’m looking for soft pleasing light, but don’t have the time to mess with lighting modifiers. Thoughts??? Thanks so much. Mitch

Thanks for the comment, Mitch! I’ve been eyeing up the P60c or another comparable tube light. I can’t overstate the portability of this setup. I’m actually working on another video that breaks down how I pack for client shoots, so that should give you a better understanding of how these lights fit in. But as long as you take time to dial in your exposure and set the lights up in a good spot, these are just as good as the bulky setups. Hope this helps!

@@rivvidproductions Yes, that helps big time! Again, I appreciate you taking the time to respond to me. You convinced me. Stay well!
