- Our France Tour continues with a trip to Honfleur followed by a stay at Mont Saint Michel, a magical island that received millions of visitors a year. But is it worth the hype and how do you beat the crowds?
When we reach Mont Saint Michel we take your on our walking tour of the island, just as we find it.
We are at the start of our longest tour yet, and this summer we are attempting to drive our 20 year old bus conversion from the UK to the very south of France with plenty of interesting stops along the way. If we pull it off it should be an amazing tour, and we are so happy to have you come along with us.
The North of France has so far been great, last weeks stay near Calais was a good start and this week we share two of the most famous sites in the whole of France.

- We stayed at Camping du Mont Saint-Michel - but we also show a couple of other options in the video. We also noted two huge aires pretty close to the famous island too.

There is actually seven Abbeys, Skellig Michael in Ireland, St Michael Mont Cornwall, Mont St Michael France, San Michele Piedmont Italy, Monti Sant Angelo Gargano Puglia Italy, Monastery of St Michael Symi Island Greece and Mount Carmel Jerusalem Israel and the amazing thing is they are all in a perfectly straight line.
What an amazing fact, now this would make quite a road trip to see them all 🚐🚐🚐. Amazingly we haven't actually been to St Michael Mont yet. So that should be an easy one to visit.

Spaghetti and lettuce, I dont think I have ever seen that combination before. 😆 But I have lived a very sheltered life. France is very interesting, I have four French cars in my yard! 👍
lol you’re in for a treat over this trip Tom, we have some weird combos. That’s cool - in France cars are split into three camps. Brand new very expensive cars, brand new French cars and ‘classic’ French cars that are usually battered.

Hi guys, a lovely travelogue, well made, great information for those who wish to follow your example and travel from through the Normandy coast region on there way to a final stop, st Michael’s mount would make a lovely 24 hr stop to enjoy what France does great, but go inland alittle and you’ll find what France does best.
please though a word of caution, you maybe being mistaken for Americans, best wishes for your journeys and as a former coachmen keep the oil warm and the wheels turning.

@@WanderbusAdventures yes in the 1800,s I believe rue Dr la bavole is in the Louvre museum and one of his most famous works!

Ah geweldig, we vonden het erg leuk. Bij deze gelegenheid waarschijnlijk niet zo op weg naar de zon, maar het staat op onze lijst om ooit te bezoeken. Ben je geweest?
Het is te warm nu, 40°. En normaal ga ik deze week naar Nederland rijden, en een andere camper halen. Een Adria S 670 SLT
