If you have a group of 6 or 8, the Abbaye de Longues not far from Bayeaux is a great place for a group to stay and have access to the D-Day sites and other places like Mont St. Michel. Five bedrooms, three baths, a roomy kitchen, dining and living room The hosts are wonderful and the history of the Abbey is interesting to any history buffs.

If I do come across it I’ll be sure to send it your way but there are others similar very close by. It was a nice area at the far east end of the beach. Much more quiet.
